For the facility itself, I can say it is spacious, clean, clean bathrooms, decent parking, and fair pricing from their food stands. The chili dog with onions and cheese yummmmmm. It's a great facility to check out depending on the event you're interested. They have many other types of car racing events, but I'm mainly interested in drift cars as you can see by my photos. Be prepared though if you have sensitive ears it can get LOUD from the cars revving, screeching, burning rubber! The thrill! Driftcon racing itself I believe holds 3-4 events a year, I will cover at least 2-3. Hope to see you there!!!

When we first moved to Washington, we were in a house in Auburn that was probably 5 miles from this…read morevenue. I was outside working in the yard one weekend when I heard this thunderous noise. It kept repeating itself and I asked one of the neighbors what was going on. He just laughed and said oh that's NHRA nationals going on over at Pacific Raceways. After that, I had to go see it. As luck would have it I worked for a local staffing business that worked with the raceway. We were responsible for flagging on motocross days and cleanup at the venue during big events like the NHRA nationals. The internal staff was great to work with. These folks work tirelessly to make sure that the people who came to these events got their moneys worth. The track was well maintained, and there was quite adequate parking for everyone that showed up. What was great to see was between races. The NHRA teams would be tearing down an engine and rebuilding it in less than an hour. You could stand there a few feet from the crew as they were working on it and see it up close and personal. Even if you're not erasing enthusiast, this is a great time for the entire family. I highly recommend it.

Fun place to watch races. Short 3/8 mile track. Plenty of free parking…read more We went for the Big Rig races. Haven't been for a couple of years. We got to the track an hour before race time. The stands were already pretty crowded but we found seats near each other for our group and our friends who were coming. I will say that the benches are packed in together and you don't have a lot of room to move around. Add to that people that bring bleacher top chairs for their comfort, that are too big for the benches and end up encroaching upon your leg room. Annoying and very rude!! It is seriously almost a claustrophobic experience sitting here. The races are run well and were enjoyable to watch. Restrooms were clean. There was always a long lime for concessions and for beer. It seems that they have one line to purchase beer tickets and then another lime to actually buy your beer. Not sure what the point in that is, but glad I wasn't drinking beer. You can pack in your own cooler here with food and beverages - as long as no alcohol or glass. This helps keep your outing affordable. Ticket prices were $22 for adults. I think 5 and under are free. Fun time watching races.

Fortunately I had a friend in line so I could take a break and go sit in the shade. I was waiting for him, but would go back every 15 minutes & he barely moved. I've stood in line before behind 20 people, but it has never taken me 90 minutes to get through. I'm being generous saying 90 minutes. It was a nightmare and ruined our whole night. You can go on the track and it is a great experience. Bathrooms are really accessible and I've never had to wait.

The velodrome is one of the best attractions near Seattle…read more It's located in Marymoor Park, meaning there's no fee to visit and it's open to the public. You can bring your own bike to ride, just know there might be classes or races going on so you won't always get to ride. You can view the schedule on their website. There are junior classes available for purchase online (a week long camp), and you need to pay to race on racenights. I personally am one of the Juniors at the track so I know all about it. For spectating races, there is no cost except for Friday Night Racing. It is very fun to watch because there are multiple different categories of speed and group sizes, including Juniors. The parking lot charges $1 for your stay. If you're looking for some fun at the end of the day, the velodrome is the place to go. Or, if you want to ride, you can enter yourself in a race or ride when the track is empty. Everybody is very friendly and can answer any questions you have. The velodrome is a great community and worth every visit.

Not having seen anything like this before, I wasn't sure what to expect. Was this a cross between roller derby and MMA? Was this going to be watching a bunch of people in skin tight suits and multi-thousand dollar vehicles? Not the former, but the latter. Lots of families around to watch people flying around a banked track pretty much just for the sport of it. We sat over on the grass, right in one of the banked areas, watching people whizz on by. There's a dollar parking lot fee and it cost $5 to get in to watch the races.

The tickets were reasonably priced and the racing was exciting. All three classes were fun to watch. The "taco" seemed a little pricey at around $7 but I'm when I got it, it was actually a huge burrito and very good. Definitely worth it. I will definitely be back for more sprint car races!
