The transmission in our truck went out and I didn't know of an honest mechanic to trust with such a large (and expensive) job. My husband was out of town and asked me to get repair quotes. I contacted a few Ford dealers and collected several estimates for both a rebuilt tranny and a brand new tranny. I was referred to Brents Auto Works by a family member and also a trusted friend who had both been seeing Brent for years. I called Brents place and he answered the phone. We spoke for about 20 minutes, he was very kind and much more helpful and descriptive with me than any of the dealerships I had spoken with in the days prior. He explained to me in laymans terms the differences between the two transmissions in regards to price, labor, quality, reliability and warranty. His estimates were a little less for each tranny senario and one option came with a guarantee of his own. After speaking with him, my task became less daunting and I knew then who I felt comfortable doing business with. I informed my husband of all the estimates and I was eager for him to discuss the transmission with Brent. My husband, being a man of mechanics himself, talked shop with Brent and we made an appointment with him for the next day. We decided to go with the option of having Brents team rebuild a tranny for our truck which also included his 1 year guarantee. We had our truck back in just a few days and it runs beautifully, with no problems. This was 18 months ago and our truck has had no issues at all! It was such a positive experience for us that Brent is now our go-to mechanic because we trust him and the quality of his work. He has also done large repairs on our Jeep and now it runs smoothly. What we really appreciated about the business done at Brents Auto Works was the personal attention we received from the business owner. The invoice given to us is a three page description of all the work performed and also pages of recommendations for future repairs. Heather works in the office and she called us twice since the transmission repair just to see how the truck was driving - that was awesome! Callled in simply asking to get a quote on a 96 ford ranger. The guy had an attitude, wanted to know how soon I need it done. I said I am not in a rush just like a quote. He said he doesn't even know the engine specs. Well I could have provided it. As I was clam, cool, collected and patient to get a quote and provide info. But he was too much in a rush hustling to figure out how much can price gouged me before he hung up. Bad customer service, period. He won't have my buisness! read more

Absolute ripoff. He ruined my truck, it recently blew a head gasket and we saw all of the damage he caused. The truck is a total loss! I wish I could afford to sue him for the money he charged me over $3500.00 and ruined my truck. Do not get your car fixed here! read more

Brent has been working on cars within our family for a number of years however it is only recently we went to see him for some work on my Toyota 4Runner. We knew it needed some TLC due to an engine light no one previously had been able to keep off for more than 50 miles. I will never go to another mechanic! I took my car to Brent because it was making a strange noise. Turns out the only oil in the car looked like black Jello and the oil filter was so chewed up you could hardly tell what it was!
