    Hi everyone, if you remember there was a big post about Travelers canceling me after 23 years. I…read morewas amazed that over 80 people responded telling their stories of how they were cancelled after many years. I was referred to Dylan LaFollette at Country Financial here in Carson City. I called him at 9:00 AM on Monday, he took all of my information. 2:00 PM I received a very competitive quote. Today at 10:00 AM Dylan was at my house taking photos. By 1:00 PM I was given the thumbs up by underwriting I have already signed the papers, I am covered today.I didn't realize how much insurance companies charge if you finance it and pay it monthly, I don't get that much from the interest rate on my CDs so I'm very relieved and I can stop worrying about it. Country Financial is a Nevada only insurance company, they have their own underwriters and they know Carson City very well. My previous agent had already made five phone calls and couldn't get a quote at any of them. I'm very pleased and surprised how quickly this was handled and I saved money plus the coverage is much better. If you are still looking for insurance or not happy with what you have in Carson City or Nevada in general I highly suggest and recommend him, they care about their customers because they are local.     30+ days and my poor 80 year old father who is a veteran is without a car and without his money…read more State Farm continues to play a game and torments this poor old man who apparently is not entitled to his money after his Jeep was totaled. I went into his office with my father and I have seen what he is all about. Pathetic when a company will not honor their contract. But you know all of this is in vain, when you don't have a conscience you just don't care. And there is no more "Like a Good Neighbor". State Farm just isn't there! Update... We just got the electronic document to sign 30 days after said accident and now they're trying to nickel and dime him and his deductible is 250 and now they're trying to say his deductible is 500. :) At what point is it time to get nasty and involve a lawyer? Okay so he pulled his policy and it states 500 deductible collision 250 deductible for comprehensive. Shouldn't the amounts be listed on the cards themselves? And to think I have an umbrella policy and know that I can't bank on getting my money in a timely fashion. What's the point of having insurance then? 2nd Update: Oh but wait, there's more... I was told to not mess with the Alpine Wireless Car Play receiver I put into my Dad's Jeep not to mention the Maestro Unit I put in as well. We were told we would get compensation for adding in aftermarket products from our agent. And now they are reneging on that as well. I agree with Cynthia M. in her review. You would think also if an 80 year old man would walk into an agent's office the least the agent can do is offer his something to drink and pull out his chair and thank him for his service and ask how are you feeling? Clay did none of this! On the contrary after a previous phone call, he had asked us "Why are you here?" when we had entered the office. 3rd Update: Father received a certified letter in the mail from State Farm. Letter dated Feb. 24, 2021. Was not post marked until Mar 3. We just received notice of this yesterday and we picked up the letter. In the letter it states they were trying to get a hold of him and are unable to reach him. But in a court of law we can prove that he has been calling them over several dozen times and then we were told by a manager that the money is being wired into his bank account. He should have it tomorrow, they said that to him on Monday of this week. Wednesday morning and alas no money in the account. If father doesn't receive his money we are forced to sue a company for failure of honoring their contract. This is how big business torments a poor 80 year old veteran. Further update, Dad just got off the phone with Bank of America there is no wire going to his checking account from State Farm. 4th Update: Continued lies from State Farm still no money in his account. Furthermore, Dad has been with State Farm for over 50 years. Man do we miss the days of Mike Delay.
