a follow up to my previous review. We've now had our stunning 2025 Brinkley Z 3100 for a few months. Firstly we are absolutely thrilled with the Brinkley, quality, finish and engineering detail is really outstanding, We've had a few travel trailers before buying this 5th wheel and really cant comment enough about the quality of this RV. As per my previous review we were very happy with the entire sales process. Unfortunately we needed the assistance of Bretz and Brinkley to help resolve a painful issue we had with registering the RV out of state. A tedious and time consuming matter. The support I received from both Bretz and Brinkley was fantastic. A really big thank you to Ridge, Jessica and Kaylen for their assistance with this matter. Seriously your assistance was greatly appreciated. It's really great to know that after the check has been cashed and the RV leaves the lot that there is ongoing solid support. Once again thank you so much, I'm not sure how long it will be but one day when we are ready to upgrade our Brinkley, Bretz will be our first call. read more

Non completed and poor repairs made, (even though we were told "all had been completed...NOT!!!) Bogus financing tactics, (we were told that the "10%" rate was simply an arbitrary number yet, when we went to sign the contract, they told us that "this was the best they could do." (We have over an 800 credit score) "We should have walked out right then and there." (our first mistake) Also, when we arrived to pickup our newly purchased RV, certain items which were supposed to be included had been removed by staff. (Again...Wish we would have left right then and there. (Second big mistake on my part) Consequently, we'll NEVER make another purchase from "BRETZ RV" again and cannot recommend them to anyone. read more

I don't know about "Bretz RV" but I did have an experience with one of their young salesman at the RV show located at the Fair grounds last weekend: "William Stump" is a young man that knows more about RV's than just about anyone I have come across in years! I don't know it all but I do know more than most when it comes to this. Not to toot my horn but I have been doing this for over 45 years. I have owned three travel trailers, one toy hauler and SIX diesel pushers from 36' feet to my current 44' 52,000 GVWR tag. All bought new but two of them. It's rare when I don't know more than the sales person helping me. William was showing my buddy a small class B and I had some odd questions such as battery voltage. This young man raddled off the different voltages between Flooded Lead Acid, AGM Glass Mat, and Lithium like it was nothing and he was spot on! He knew the peeks, the 50% delation voltages and the differences between them. He was well versed in the inverters, solar panels and plus, "Soft Starts" installed on the AC and how it affects the electrical system! He keeps this us Marathon will be looking at him soon to sell their bus conversions! Great job William Stump! read more

If we could give a negative amount of stars we would. I gave a scathing review previously. I wanted to update and add to our disappointment with Bretz RV of Nampa. We are exhausted by the incompetence of this company. Where to begin? We went to the expo Idaho January of 2024. Ordered and paid CASH for a custom 5th wheel (I'm too exhausted to tell you about how dishonest the financial officer was, pretty sure her name was Sam". 2 years later, our palace on wheels is sitting at Bretz's in Nampa awaiting double paned glass which we paid extra for. Guess what? While sitting on the Bretz lot since last October, our palace on wheels got side swiped by another trailer. What to do? To begin with this palace on wheels is marginal at best. This is my second formal review on Bretz in Boise. I would love to say the performance of their Service department has improved but sadly it has not. I have had nothing but problems with them since day one. I wish I could provide some context but there is just too much to share in this forum. They say something is fixed but it isn't or we pick it up and something that wasn't a problem before now has a problem. Based on my experience they lack a strong, competent Service Manager and quality control as there have been several times I haven't even been able to leave the parking lot to take it home after they have "fixed" something. I know I am not the only customer that has experienced this as we have talked with other frustrated customers in the parking lot. The sales experience was great but that is a very small piece, it's the experience you receive after the sale that is important and can make or break customers wanting to continue to do business. If you are looking for quality repair service, save yourself some time and frustration and shop elsewhere. read more

We had an unfortunate experience with a salesman of this dealership. We cannot comment on the dealership itself as we bought our rv from an rv show, which we will never repeat. The product itself is showing its lack of quality. But we are working with Kz warranty department (another headache altogether) to try to correct this. The area that was concerning was in the honesty of our salesman, Chris Ingram. We of course were guarded going into talks with him as after all he is a salesman but the manner in which Chris lied directly to us is stunning now that we look back on it. Telling us about all the features that this unit had. Chris having been given all the information about our situation and needs, lied to make this unit seem to fill all the roles we desired. Come to find out after taking delivery as the unit was literally delivered to us, that about half of the things Chris claimed about the features of the rv were true. (and that is being generous). When asked why he had said such things when it was obvious that we find out after taking delivery, his only response to this was to bring up his military service history, which he knows we are grateful for as we thanked him when bought this unit and to hide behind his children. While both of these reasons have nothing to do with the issue at hand, he tried to use them to hide behind. Then, refused to chat and more in written text as you would expect a guilty party to say. Now, we have taken our lumps and are dealing with warranty repairs as the rv is showing the lack of quality that one might find surprising. This a warning for those that maybe are dealing with Chris or that might in the future. We advise that you steer clear of him but at the very least verify the things he tells you before you purchase. That way you don't find yourselves in the same boat. read more

We also had some difficulties with their service department not doing as originally agreed, not completing work as stated on the contract, poor workmanship and actually ignoring other repair issues needing addressed. One must also fully understand and be aware, IF one decides to purchase a "consignment vehicle," the dealership has little if any control or interest in making ANY needed inspections or complying with or to any requested repair services, and will do nothing to assure the vehicle is completely road worthy, safe for travel or that all the appliances and service maintenance needs are in good working order much less assuring all engine fluids are up to capacity hence, their clause and release of ANY responsibility or liability in purchasing "As is." (And yes, I have all documentation to support my claims) Consequently, we will NEVER return to this dealership for ANY reason whatsoever. read more

Bought our trailer 45 days ago, had it out once. First night out bed broke, 2nd night dinette broke, paint pealing of ceiling. Called Bretz but they were 2 weeks out so we found another place that does warranty work. Turns out bed and cabinetry Needs replaced and front wall taken down and braces added because bed was just nailed to the wall with no support. Today we get a call from Bretz saying they have parts for us. I go down to Bretz to find out what's going on, turns out there were problems noted before we bought it and we were never notified of any of these issues. It was basically hid from us. Roof needs resealed, counter tops warped, etc. a good couple of days worth of work and we were never given the opportunity to find a different unit or even to say these are the issues but parts are on order, nothing. No one said a thing! This is not how business should be conducted, and this has turned into a nightmare. read more

We used Bretz to purchase our first RV and it was a great experience!! However, the service department has been the opposite. Their communication and customer service skills are poor at best. When we talk to someone in person or on the phone we receive one answer but at the time of the service we are told that they cannot provide those services. When speaking with the manager he simply said "They can help us as long as it fits into their schedule". No thanks!!! We will be looking for somewhere that wants to help their customers. read more

We bought a 2024 Tahoe T18 boat and trailer this month. Overall the experience was good with the exception of perhaps overselling the engine/electronics warranty. In hind site, I think I would have passed on that $4000.00 option. We did purchase the protection coat package for about 2K (which took less than 1 hour to apply. Questions there, perhaps??) After about 3 hours of orientation and further attempts to sell us boat stuff that we already had (from our previous boat), we trailered up and were on our way. Today, it took about 1 1/2 hours at the DMV to get the boat and trailer titled and registered. Some things that were missing in the paperwork were: 1. trailer weight 2. hull type 3. hull color 4. horse power Also, I was explicitly informed by the DMV clerk that the trailer license plate I was required to give to the dealer was actually MY LICENSE PLATE and I should have kept it. At the dealer they said I could not keep my plate because the trailer VIN was tied to the plate, which, I discovered later, may have been true but it had no effect on the ownership. The only person who can use that plate is me ... plates are not transferable. So, though ,my overall review is positive, I believe there is a lack of training among those staff whose job it is to "get you out the door". Please take this as constructive criticism. read more

Sales team, phenomenal. Service team, horrendous. We purchased a new trailer in April 2022. There were things missing or needed to be fixed, no problem. It took them until October 2022 to receive the parts. We took it in mid-October with a 3 to 4 week turnaround. During communication with the service department, parts were ordered incorrectly in late November, well past the 3 to 4 week promise. When I explained that we hadn't had it winterized due to their ordering mishap, they offered to do that, but I received paperwork saying they won't guarantee my trailer plumbing due to the early freeze. It was their fault, and they took no accountability for it! They finally told us they were finished and to pick it up on Friday, 3 1/2 months later, January 20th. It's still not fixed. My husband told them to ship the new blinds to our house, and he'd hire a professional to fix it. And to top it off, they left the trailer a disgusting mess with trash, bugs, and debris all over the floors, counters, and bed. I luckily took a video of the proof. It smells like a dang sewer. It had been cleaned out for the season, floors steamed, etc. We spent over 70k only having it completed trashed. To finalize it, there are no corporate numbers or emails to complain to. I went there to buy a grand design solitude. They were asking above MSRP. I ended up going to a different dealer in Utah and got my Grand new Solitude for 20% less. The lot was very dirty and muddy so it was hard to see their products with out getting dirty. Some of 5th wheels had service issues where lights did not work or thermostat was hanging off the wall. I would think you would not show a 5th wheel that is new with problems. And I was told that if I did not buy the RV there that they won't service the grand design which as a Grand Design dealers is their responsibility. Overall my experience was a real turn off. We bought a Motorhome from Bretz RV in Missoula, MT last year. Everytime we used the microwave/convection oven it would flip the breaker. We brought the RV in for service on June 9th. Today is August 11th and they still have it. I have to say that the service there is not good at all. We actually made the appointment to get it serviced at least a month in advance. And they never told us it would take this long to get it serviced For a microwave issue. We have not been able to use our RV at all during the prime camping months. We are more than disappointed. My husband and I DO NOT recommend buying from them or getting your rv serviced by them. read more

Initially sales experience was good, salesman was knowledgeable and responsive. however after only two trips, sink faucet stopped working, rear awning failed, rear sliding doors required new tracks, multiple fit and finish issues. however the main issue was they time to repair. basically we lost half the summer from August to mid Sept to get the repairs accomplished. half the blame must go to manufacturer Grand Design for not approving warranty work and getting proper parts in a timely fashion and half to the service department for not "making things happen". the new Service manager who inherited what appeared to me, to be a disaster, tried his best but we still had to cancel numerous scheduled trips. I will not buy anything from Bretz nor buy another Grand Design product. very disappointed! read more

We bought a 2019 Sundance and have had nothing but problems with it. It is in the shop more than we use it. Trim falling off. Valances falling off. Bad water pump. Bolts coming out of frame. Spring perch broke and needed a Mobil welder to fix. Trailer was not towable. The list goes on. There is no customer service. Once you tow it off the lot your on your own. We have had extremely slow response from the service department for repairs. Our trailer sat there for 2 1/2 months once waiting waiting waiting for repairs. We now go elsewhere for all our repairs. We have a 5 year warranty on on coach, every year their suppose to fix the little things that go wrong. This year they had our coach 6 weeks and we got nothing fixed and had to bring it back cause the auto leveling system was not working. They will sale you and kick you to the curb and treat you like shit. Sales person I had was not very professional or organized at all. They say they are going to do something and it never happens, then it becomes a hurry up and wait because the service or the task never gets done. What I would suggest, do your homework. Look into all the reviews...ones that seem too good to be true are too good to be true. The ones that are over the top bad, are probably exaggerated. When I arrived to pickup my trailer excited to get out and camp was completely destroyed when they tried to sale me $6,000 in upgrades I didn't need but made me feel like they were necessary to even pull this off the lot. I walked a way for a few hours to review all that was presented. I Researched if I needed those items and if I needed the items could I find them cheaper elsewhere. The answer was some of the items would make things nicer but not necessary and all but 2 of the items I found on Amazon for significantly less. So I went back and finalized the sale But did not include all of those extras. But that was my biggest mistake. I should have followed my gut and walked away from the purchase all together. So, do your homework. Ask around about customer service, about the service department, about their sales department and about their communication. Don't make the same mistake I made. read more

I bought my second travel trailer from Bretz this summer. I was welcomed into "the family" and all went well with the trailer purchase. In fact, I wrote a glowing review of the purchase process which highlighted and complimented our sales rep, Cody, who was excellent. We agreed to pay the sales price of our new trailer if Bretz, at no cost to us, would transfer over to the new trailer our solar equipment (lithium batteries, solar charge controller, inverter, etc.) at no cost to us. A service rep came over to look at my setup in the old trailer and said it was straight forward and shouldn't be a problem. When we received our new trailer, it was delivered to the dealership with damage along the facade and siding of the trailer as well as one of the stabilizer jacks was completely twisted. I was assured that this damage was covered by the warranty and would be repaired at no cost to us. In the meantime, we could use the new trailer, as is, for the last of our 2022 camping trips. While on this camping trip, I noticed that some of the solar components were not functioning properly. The battery monitor was not indicating the correct state of charge and the solar charge controller was not shutting off when the battery disconnect switches were turned off. This was a problem because we store our trailer in covered parking during the off season and, therefore, the solar panels are not exposed to sunlight and recharging the batteries. In this configuration, our batteries would continue to drain over the winter because some components were always on. Our solar setup in the old trailer which was transferred over to the new trailer didn't have this issue because all components would shut down after turning off the disconnect switches. I voiced my concern and stated that our deal was to transfer over my old solar setup to the new trailer as it was. I was told that Bretz had to wire the system differently due to a Grand Design policy. If I would have purchased and paid for a GD solar system and installation, this would be understandable. But I had my own components and setup which had worked perfectly in my old trailer for two years and now it didn't. I complained and complained and finally, the Bretz service rep said they would reconfigure my solar wiring as I had it on the old trailer and according to the wiring diagram that I shown them. However, they wanted to charge me for the labor!!! I was really annoyed and angry because this is what should have been done in the first place! I told them to just button up the trailer and that I would bring it home and repair it myself. The repair consisted of moving one wire and took me about one hour to do. After this apparent MAJOR obstacle that Bretz refused to do, all of my components work perfectly. To be completely transparent, I damaged the new trailer awning when departing my storage facility to deliver the trailer to Bretz for the warranty work. So in addition to the warranty work, they also ordered and replaced my awning. I was assured that this was not a problem and that the job would be promptly done. I GOT MY TRAILER BACK 10 WEEKS LATER!!!! read more

One easy thing when dealing with Bretz, DON'T. Spent 40k on a new trailer there, and feel like I bought a used one for 9.95. Only one person to deal with there, and he chose to get out of the service mng job, to go back to the shop. He told me not to feel bad how I'm treated, due to the fact he states that is the norm. Hell, after I handed over the cash, never heard one word out of the salesperson. Was right in front of him many times, and never even got a head nod. But be it as it may, I bought it from them, so I have to live with. BTW, the "never heard that before" seams to be a common thread with these people. Also, roof leaked, but the could not find a problem for a week. I had to raise bloody hell to get them to fix it, and oh, there was a problem. As I stated in the opening DON'T buy there, run away. Update: I guess you don't give this business a review. They like to respond with private emails. If you are in the Boise area, and want to purchase from them, and you want my option please drop me a email, and I will be happy to let you know what I really think of this company. New update: Crashed my RV and even as I bashed this business above, I let them repair it, and when it was over I was very surprised of the workmanship. This time no comments from the peanut gallery, and of course only dealing with one employee helps. We purchased a Grand Design in October of 2022. In this year, Bretz RV has had it more than we have. Their service department is busy, but don't expect any follow up. They do not call and let you know the status on anything they are working on. You will have to call them and most likely they won't have an answer and will get back to you... maybe. We've have purchased trailers from them before, but I will drive to another state to get my next one. Read the other reviews and you will see they real good at selling you a trailer, telling you what you want to hear, but once it's sold and you start having problems with it, warranty or not, their service department is slow and unprofessional. Their sales will promise you the world and tell you that you can trust them because everything they tell you is being recorded, but that's a big lie as well. My experience with Bretz ranks as one of the worst experiences I've had with ANY company in my 58 years on the planet. I've been due warranty work on my Tracker boat since May of 2021. Dave in service confirmed that my warranty work was approved by Tracker, although I'd have to wait until fall . I asked if we could set an appointment for October 1,2021. That's the last I ever heard from anyone in Bretz service. I was helped by a fine young man named Matthew in sales, he got me two other names to contact, a Jeremy and a Ben S. Multiple emails and phone calls to Dave , Ben and Jeremy resulted in one quick return call from Jeremy. Jeremy said " I can't find your file" and never returned another call. Wow! Without question the worst service I have ever experienced. Bought a new motorhome. Found several issues before we even left the lot and over 40 issues since we've taken delivery. Nothing has been fixed. I have emailed several times and I get no response. They won't even put me on their schedule. Save yourself a lot of heartache, buy from someone else. In their purchase agreement it says they are responsible for NOTHING. BELIEVE IT!!! Once they have your money, you are nothing to them. We wanted to pay cash. Then tried to rip us off on our trade. A 2018 worth 27,000-33,000 & they were only going to take 21,000. He was not pushy and helped answer all our questions in a timely manner and was always very courteous. they are great until you sign the papers then it all goes out the window ($30,000.00 later). Their warranty is a joke as it starts when you sign the papers not when the manufacturer finally has it built 2 months later??? And then when you do receive it you cant take it because it has multiple issues that need fixed. I bought a porcelain toilet which it did not have so they had to order what i paid for, they had to replace one of the walls in the bedroom as there was a 1/2 indifference in how far it stuck out past the seam. nails and screws had to be tightened, fixed or they simply forgot to put in screws in ( none in the table legs) Tv was hung horribly crooked etc... We finally get it ( August) so we only got one weekend out of it before we stored it for the winter. Got it out of being stored and tool a 2 day trip to the mountains. 2nd day in our water was gone out of the clean tank and we thought we had used it sparingly. Took it out for the 3rd time for a nice 7 day vacation in the mountains. Within two days we had no water again only to figure out the wall behind the shower was leaking. We spent the next five days with only the water that we bought in bottles, also I bought all of my adapters to finally listen to the stereo and the stereo never worked. Not a fuse , not a breaker it plain and simple does not work. Zero power to it. So upon calling Bretz RV they told me that it was a 1 year warranty from the day we signed the papers...um we may have signed in may/ June but never took possession of the trailer in August due to it not having been built until then and then having to go back and have the first issues fixed. This Company has the very worst customer service ever!!!! I will never go to them again nor will I suggest them to anyone. Outstanding business. Great professionals. My salesman, Ridge, showed me exactly what I was looking for and got me a great deal. Rich from the service department took extra time showing me how everything on my camper worked and gave me valuable information on set up, tear down and towing. Great company and who can argue with free two years storage! ONE PROBLEM with Bretz - they have a customer satisfaction survey company that is a pain in the butt. They have called my cell phone (I pay by the minutes used) and left several messages a couple of times a day asking me to call back. I finally did and told them under no circumstances should they call me again. ONCE. That should have been their limit. Bretz shouldn't be giving out cell numbers for marketing purposes anyway. Bretz might want to do something about this. read more
