Cinnamon roll and iced vanilla latte.

Came in here due to its central location on U Street (very close to the U Street metro). The latte was a good portion and the coffee was nice and strong. The pastry was huge and tasty. Service was a little slow but it was during the weekend morning rush.

Went here as a reward post-dentist appointment :) didn't disappoint. Their creme brûlée latte was delicious! And the place is so cozy and very U Street. Staff was very friendly (and cute ). It's part hostel I think so when you walk in you initially wonder if you're in the right place but just follow the sign to the left. I would highly recommend and will be going back to try more.

My coworker told me about this coffee spot and I was eager to try. So, I didn't know that it's a hostile which is exciting because I never been in one . But the inside of this little coffee shop (seems to look small on the outside) was great. I forgot the exact flavor latte I purchased but it was delicious. I will definitely be going back to try other things off their menu. My coworker had some empanadas and she said they were tasty. I loved the employees.

I came in here with the sole intention of grabbing a quick coffee. When I walked in, I was miffed to see so many suitcases around the cafe. Then I noticed signs directing people to the cafe or the hostal. That was intriguing to me because I love both coffee and hostals! Although I've necer stayed at a hostel in DC per say, I have stayed at quite a few while traveling in South America. To me they've always been super fun! I actually met a lady who is staying at the hostel and it was intereating conversation. There weren't too many people in the cafe this morning but it was nice with the a/c and interesting travel related decor. I ordered a regular coffee with leche and a chocolate croissant and they were served-up fast and jist what I needed.

It ended up being a little dry, but the fries were crispy, well-seasoned, and a hit with everyone at the table. My son had the NY strip steak with mashed potatoes and really enjoyed it. The steak was cooked well, and the mashed potatoes were incredibly creamy and smooth. I ordered the sugar snap pea salad with salmon, and it was exactly what I was looking for on a hot summer evening. The salad was fresh, light, and refreshing, with a subtle hint of mint that really made the flavors pop. The salmon was perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with the salad. My friend ordered the sugar snap salad with chicken Milanese, and the portion was enormous. The chicken literally covered the entire plate! It looked delicious and would easily satisfy a hearty appetite. The Mac & cheese was cooked well with a nice crust on top. Overall, the food was fresh, the portions were generous, and there was something for everyone. I'd definitely return the next time I'm in DC.

We could tell that they had all the families with little kids grouped to one side of the restaurant, and we felt that was clever and convenient. The food was great! We both got salads. I loved the snap pea chicken salad. And my husband really liked the soba noodle salmon salad. He had a Bloody Mary, and I had a yummy mocktail. Everything was great, including the service!

We were coming from Penn Social where we ate dinner so we just decided to order cocktails and dessert. Both were amazing. I chose the midnight ledger which contained Volcan Reposado, Ilegal Mezcal, Cynar, Melon Liqueur, and my friend ordered Mizu Lychee Martini which contained Citadelle Gin, Lychee Soju, Dry Vermouth. The Martini was very strong but enjoyable. The Ledger was very tasty, and a bit strong. For dessert we ordered the Creme Brulee. It was very tasty however, I really wish it would have come out warm instead of cold. Overall, it was a great experience. I will be back soon possibly to check out their happy hour or maybe have dinner. If you are looking for a fancy fine dining experience Cafe Riggs is the place for you. Cheers!
