Small homey cafe with its own machine to roast their coffee beans! Ice mocha - not too sweet, a little on the richer chocolatey side but pretty good! 3.5/5 Vanilla latte (hot) - lightly sweet and you can still taste the coffee flavor comes through! 3.75/5

Cute little cafe on h st perfect for a coffee date work sesh or just a cozy book afternoon with a friend. Amazing mocha latte that's perfectly sweet and served in the coziest of mugs. Sit down and have it in a mug if you can I swear it elevates the experience when you need 2 hands to grip your bowl cup. Service so friendly auntie behind the counter makes every cup with love and care. I crave this mocha religiously!

I love! I've been exploring coffee shops/cafes in the area to find a good place to get some work done uninterrupted and hopefully enjoy a hearty lunch. This is it! It's very cozy with ambient music and smells like a warm home. There were about 3 other patrons but a couple tables open, so it wasn't hard finding a spot to settle in. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and a hot chai for lunch - chicken was served on ciabatta bread and super flavorful, very filling. Service was quick and polite, it seems like a mom & pops. I think they have a patio but it was a little chilly this day so I wasn't looking to sit outside. I was able to lock in for a few hours which was a huge plus. There's plenty of street parking with steady foot traffic but once you're inside, it's easy to block out the noise

Sidamo is a must try spot for your coffee and breakfast fix when you're on H st, especially if you've worked up a appetite shopping at Whole Foods. We needed something quick and convenient and this place hit the spot. It's a cozy, comfy place with a nice patio out back. Very friendly team. And the menu has more than enough options. We snagged coffee and a couple breakfast sandwiches (not pictured) and would absolutely return.

When I went here, the place wasn't too crowded + I can hear my friend talking. I thought the chai latte was alright... nothing too crazy. Vibes were alright. Sad to say I might not come back as there are other cafes in the area

Stopped by a few times for coffee and the lemon raspberry cake which were great. The inside later in the day can be pretty crowded, but I grabbed my orders to go. The staff could be a little more friendly.

Staff were efficient and pleasant of a busy morning. I recommend the iced vanilla latte on a hot day. Chocolate croissant was solid and the cafe was clean, smelled good and had ample seating.

It was ok. Coffee was good but the wait was long and it was so crowded inside. The tables are crammed together. Not great seating options. Might try it again in the summer when the outdoor seating is available, but probably won't be back for the indoor seating.

Refreshingly not trendy spot! Interior is eclectic and looks like it evolved organically over time (rather than styled to resemble other buzzy instagrammable coffee shops). There's a patina that's endearing and makes you want to sit and read a newspaper. My latte was great.

Great local spot for delicious coffee! The vibe is very homey and you can tell everyone that comes in is looking to relax or catch up with a friend. I didn't check if there was Wi-Fi, but I didn't notice anyone with their laptops or sitting to work. I got the jamocha which is a sweet chocolatey drink that reminded me of blended nesquik chocolate milk. It was really good and super creamy. Ive heard their chai is really good so I would love to come back and try it. It's a small space so it may be hard at times to grab a table, but if you can it's a fun vibe!

Omg. You can definitely taste the good quality of this coffee. They also roast it right in front of you so you KNOW it's good. The croissant was so flaky and buttery. And the iced caramel latte was so creamy and sweet. It also has such a cool chill vibe and they have a lovely patio to sit at. The servers are also so friendly and it was a great way to start my Saturday. I will definitely be back for more

We love a coffee shop with some WiFi! I love this quaint shop. Food is good, it's so warm and homey. I love working from here especially when I can get the table by the outlet! There's outdoor seating, the people are nice and yall it's perfect. I love the matcha.

I am AMAZED by this cafe. It was so good and I will be back again. The iced chai and iced jamocha were so rich and creamy, you could taste the individual favors in each one, not watered down by the ice or losing texture at all. The Ethiopian vegetable sandwich may have been the best thing I've eaten all month! Highly recommend.

I tend to like sugar (too much) but try to drink black sometimes to try to appreciate the actual coffee flavor and for health reasons. Nice way to hydrate in a fancy way. Art work doesn't typically grab me but this art work did. If I had money, time, and comfortable accessibility to purchase, I would. I am sure I could order online and have shipped but I like to avoid shipping costs if I can. The realism and detail grab me in a way I like. The DC tunnel views that continue to beautify DC's respectable metro system show you that Jimmy is truly a local DC artist. It is reminiscent for me of Juniper Lane's music album cover Tightrope. I didn't notice this until after the fact but apparently when you buy art directly from here you get 15% of your purchase for more coffee here too. Wow. Why the missing star? This is kinda picky but if I wasn't looking or a foreigner, I could've accidentally added hand sanitizer to my coffee and well that's a big no no. Granted the bottle is labeled but I am not a fan of this being in the same area as the coffee add-ons. I know spacing is tight and maybe someone moved this bottle in this area but I don't get that sense and just think it's not a good setup. If this place wanted to expand , I think finding good NYC locations would be optimal as well. I am unsure if Philly would be good or not as an additional location as a coffee culture crowd. Of course I would still come back. It was worth the 15 min walk from the convention center in this hot August weather.

We were lucky enough to snag some goodies and got a bit of everything, we just weren't patient enough to wait to photograph everything. We did the Za'atar Gruyère Croissant, chocolate croissant, the cheese biscuit item they had (don't remember exact name) and the sfogliatelle. I'm in search of the best croissant in DC, so I regret not getting the regular croissant on this visit, but the chocolate croissant gave me an idea of what to expect. Buttery, flaky, crispy, with just the perfect amount of sweetness. The typical chocolate croissant was my personal favorite. When we asked what the most popular items were, we were surprised it wasn't the more classic bakery items, but we enjoyed what we tried. We want to go back soon to try some other items as well. As someone who works in the industry and is very familiar with coffee and coffee shops, I was genuinely shocked by how rude and unprofessional the staff was. I ordered a house latte with an extra double shot, which made it a quad shot, and I also paid for extra ice and requested that it be served in a large cup. It wasn't a complicated order. When I saw a drink come up, I politely asked, "Is that mine by any chance?" The barista immediately told me to "hush" and said, "I'm not talking to you." I found that incredibly disrespectful and completely unacceptable. When my drink was finally handed to me, I simply asked if the quad shot had been added since I had paid extra for it. Instead of answering my question, the barista ignored me entirely, and another employee had to respond. The employee, Taleisha Young, who was wearing glasses, was especially rude throughout the interaction. No customer should be spoken to that way, especially when they're simply asking about an order they paid extra to customize. Customer service and professionalism should be a priority, and this experience fell far below that standard. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and I will be sharing my experience on other review platforms as well. I hope management addresses the behavior of its staff so other customers don't have a similar experience.
