When I lived in Morris, this was my go to coffee place. Good selection, the owner knows his coffee, and trains his staff to know their coffee well also. When the owner is in, the TV is turned to the terrible Fox News channel, but if you can down that out, you will have a great time! Mocha madness is the best! Good coffee shop, good people. read more

Ok, so this is just to reaffirm what nearly everyone else says. Awesome product, great staff, and better prices than that other place (Ten-bucks). Had a Lucky Leprechaun (blended with only half the ice). Then add in the 7 Layer Brownie, which the brownies are not made there, but the quality is astounding, and the variety is any sweet junkie's Eden. OK, high quality drink/food, attention to detail, friendly staff, and in the middle Flipping Morris, IL, what a blessing. Cool, cute coffee place in laid-back Morris, IL. The dreadlocked gentleman making coffee here was so friendly, and the signature drinks all sounded really good. I went with "The Boss" (Butterscotch Mocha) and my husband chose the Snowy Mountain (White Chocolate Latte), both delicious. Anyone driving between Chicago and St. Louis or on any kind of road trip knows how hard it can be to find a nice place to stop and get non-gross snacks/drinks, especially one with personality like this. In Morris for overnight stay. Needed a coffee for the road. Husband ran in. Came out impressed by barista and gentleman quizzing the barista on how many shots in an americano. Must have been owner. I came across this coffee shop while visiting the Verizon Store right next to it. While I was waiting for my new tablet to be activated, I went and got a coffee. They assisted me with making a choice that best fit for what I liked. I would highly recommend checking this place out and the Verizon Store next to them had a great deal too. Brewed Awakenings should be called rude awaking. I never got to try the coffee because the owner got in my face when he wouldn't fill my cup because it didn't have a lid. This guy has let his bs insurance company grab him by the short hairs and he takes it out on his customers. I went a few miles down the road to the country glazed donut shop. And they filled my cup up no worries with yummy joe and a smile and gave me a 10% discount because I brought my own cup! Love that place read more

This place blows all coffee places away! I went on their website and saw that they have special drinks made by the staff that arent listed on the menu. So when I went yesterday I asked For their South of the Border Boss. They serve me my drink with a little chocolate covered espresso bean on top. So cute. Their espresso is amazing. They should totally open up another shop and build from there. its worth it. The selection is crazy! If you cant find something you like then there is something wrong with you! I went to Brewed Awakenings today for the first time after seeing all the reviews on Yelp. I never know what I want to get. I love sweet but still want to be able to have the coffee flavor. I was in the mood for a cold drink. I went thru the drive thru. I ordered a large The Big Chill with whipped cream. It is an espresso drink with peppermint and white chocolate. The straw had a dollop of whipped cream on it, which I thought was a lil odd. But it was surprisingly yummy!! I wish there had been more! The flavor of the drink is absolutely amazing!! What can you really say? They have phenomenal specialty coffee drinks, and the staff is always wonderful as well. The staff is made up primarily of young adults, each with a very visible passion/love for coffee. I came here for a healthier dinner, though I ended up with a brownie as well. I got a peach, pear, apricot smoothie in addition to a caramel brownie. The barista was very helpful. She read all the oatmeal names and descriptions for me, since they are too far behind the counter to read. She also provided commentary on which flavors she liked best.
