Dive local place. Serves only beer, but at a decent price and reasonable selection. Low key crowd.

I took the dog and sat outside. After about 15 mins I asked a guy headed to the bar to see if he…read morecould spot our waitress. The young lady then rushed outside and apoligised for not seeing us sat there. Service and the food were both very good after we spoke. There are a couple of downsides however: 1. There is no dog bowls or water easily availible for the dog. 2. The seats are starting to tear and give way. 3. The table was not wiped down recently. 4. It seems to double as a smoking area. Menu selections trend towards deep fried foods a lot. The selection of craft beers is extremely limited but the usual cheap "Lite" swill is plentiful. The patio is large and well laid out, it could be a lot better run.

I have to say I'm done with Oakey's. When we first came long ago, it was just OK to me then. It's…read moreonly gone downhill since. Everything has declined - service, food, and drinks. I've tried several things on the menu, and the wings were about the only things that kept me coming back. The garlic knots were inedible, our meals have been lukewarm, they don't have stuff consistently, and the last time we were in, I got an eye roll from the bartender when I asked for something. Yeah - sealed the deal - that was the straw - done. Bye Bye - adios. We finally went to Buffalo Mountain Grill, which has a similar vibe, and we will not be coming back here.

Aubrey's is almost always packed, which makes it seem like a standout spot in our small town. After…read morevisiting a few times, though, I've found it to be... pretty average. They do offer outdoor seating, which is nice, although I'm not sure yet if it's dog-friendly--something I'll have to check out next time. We usually sit at the bar, and one thing I've learned is that you need to be very specific with your drink order if you have preferences. For example, if you order a dirty martini without clarification, be prepared for a glass that tastes almost entirely like olive brine. Asking for "light" on the olive juice is a must. Even a standard vodka martini doesn't automatically come with a lemon twist, which feels like a small but noticeable miss. Service has consistently been solid--friendly and attentive, about what you'd expect. The food, however, has been hit or miss. I tried the FGTs twice, hoping the first experience was just an off night, but they still weren't memorable enough to order again. The steak tips appetizer has been the one standout for us--really flavorful--but if you're planning on ordering a steak entrée, doubling up on steak feels a bit redundant. The salads that come with the meals are reliably good, and the steaks themselves are decent, especially with the loaded baked potato on the side. That said, I ordered a fish dish on one visit that was forgettable enough that I can't even recall exactly what it was--just that I wouldn't order it again. Overall, Aubrey's is perfectly fine, but it hasn't wowed me. At this price point, I think there are better options around town. We might stop back in from time to time if we're in the mood for something different.
