She answered my silly questions with understanding and interest. I have always had apprehensive thoughts about dental work and I must Dr. Galloway is an awesome dentist who treated me exactly like I needed to be treated. Furthermore, Lisa, Dr. Galloway's assistant, was also especially caring and had no issue answering any of my questions when presented before, during or after the visit. Both Dr. Galloway and Lisa allayed my fears. A few days later I went in and had Dr. Purcell do some oral surgery extractions on my wisdom teeth. This guy has hands of gold! He kept on telling me if I felt "anything" -- to let him know as he did not want me to feel any pain (during a tooth extraction!). The best I can compare this procedure to was a cavity filling with a bit more pushing and pulling. I was listening to my audio book and barely realized a thing. At my first appointment, I confirmed that Greenberg Dental was an in-network provider. My understanding, based on that confirmation, was that I would be responsible only for standard in-network copays and covered fees. However, I later learned through my insurance company that they paid Greenberg Dental the full in-network contracted amounts for the services provided. According to my insurer, I should not have had any additional out-of-pocket responsibility for these services. Despite raising concerns during multiple visits, I was repeatedly told that authorization paperwork had been submitted to my insurance. When I followed up directly with my insurance company, I was informed that nothing had been received at that time. Greenberg Dental later stated this was due to an error in sending paperwork to the wrong address and that it had been resubmitted. Over the course of treatment, I paid approximately $2,150 with the understanding that I would be reimbursed once insurance processed the claims. My insurance ultimately confirmed that payment was made to Greenberg Dental according to in-network agreements and that I should not have been billed these additional amounts. When I contacted the office regarding the refund I was told I would receive, I was later informed that no such refund had been discussed. I strongly encourage anyone receiving care to carefully verify billing and insurance processing directly with their insurance provider. I initially went to my dentist to see if he could extract it, only to find out that because of the location/proximity to my sinus cavity, I needed to go to an oral surgeon. Dr. Pandya was able to see me immediately; I literally got in my car, and drove to he surgery center. His staff was very friendly; everyone from the front desk to the dental assistant who assisted Dr. Pandya in my procedure was great! The office is very clean and professional, the technicians are friendly and helpful, and the staff are VERY thorough regarding the initial x-rays and exams (now I understand why they tell you to make a separate cleaning appoint, because it takes a long time just to do all the x-rays and initial screenings). I don't mind if something takes a long time because they are doing their job. What I do mind is that, after all the screenings and such, the dentist himself made me wait THIRTY minutes in the chair. I should have known it was a bad sign when the staff turned on the TV for me; they thought I might be entertained/distracted by the HGTV show. I was THIS close to walking out when the doctor finally came in, and I think he was with me for three minutes. As I was leaving, the person at the front desk was supposed to scan a document for me, but she started helping another customer. I just walked out without even checking out; they had made me wait too long, and I wasn't waiting another minute. They can call me if they need something from me!
