I went into the office because I got tired of waiting. They have one receptionist and Dr. Berelowitz in now only going to be a concierge doctor starting in December. I called about the price and they told me it was 1,000 yearly fee. I dropped off a zip drive for them to put my records on and they called me about 2 weeks later and said I could pick it up. read more

My husband and daughter have been patients of Dr Berelowitz for years. He was a great doctor although his staff has always been awful. We just found out his office is officially closed. We were not notified! Now we have less than a week to get records. If the doctor cared about his patients he would have given us a heads up and even could have referred us to another doctor. I've been a patient of Dr. Berelowitz since 2019 and I was just there yesterday (Oct. 30, 2024) sadly for the last time. He is the most knowledgeable, brightest, most generous with his time spent on you and caring physician I've ever had and I am 81 years old. (I was around when doctors actually made house calls!) He also has an excellent bedside manner. Unfortunately, he is closing his private practice and going into concierge medicine and I think today (Oct. 31, 2024) was his last day to see patients. His office is now only open for his patients to pick up their medical records if they aren't going to remain his patient and you'll need a flash drive in order to get them. I honestly feel like crying as finding truly good doctors in this valley is so difficult and I can't afford a concierge doctor. His office staff was a huge problem, however staffing is a huge problem with most doctors and not just in Las Vegas. It's also so sad that if you are an "A" grade doctor but your staff only rates a "C", that it reflects on the doctor himself. I can say unequivocally that Dr. Berelowitz deserves 10 stars if that was possible. You will not find a better Endocrinologist and I will really miss him. read more

I've been a patient of Dr Berelowitz for about 18 years and I think very highly of him. He has helped me tremendously manage my thyroid issues as well as osteoporosis. My appointments now are generally annual, the last one was November 2023. I was told that they did not have the 2024 calendar set up for appointments ( really?! It was November!) but I would be placed on a list. So....I've been calling and leaving messages since February....and when someone does call me back, I'm simply told that I'm still "on the list". Well. It's mid October....no call backs. And the bad thing is that I'm not feeling well and suspect that my levothyroxine dosage needs adjusting. I would love to stay with Dr Berelowitz but perhaps he's too busy now and I should look for another doctor. Very very disappointing! read more

I actually like Dr. Berelowitz, but you have to deal with the staff to get to the doctor...and they are absolutely terrible humans. Rudest people you will ever meet. More specifically Beth, the office manager, and Bridget. They can't wait to tell you how many patients they have and how much YOU don't matter. Dear Beth and Bridget, You both sound like miserable women. I feel bad for you. I also feel bad for the other people who have to work with you and the other patients. If you hate your jobs so much, you should do everyone a favor and leave. Every single patient collectively pays your salary so you may want to adjust those nasty attitudes. Dr. Brian Berelowitz, MD The doctor is very good at his job. His office staff should be fired! I have one health insurance. The co-pay is $5. One day I went in for a appointment, one of his staff SLAPPED down a bill for $186 on the counter and stated " you can't see the doctor until you pay this bill". The description of the bill was "do not use patients coinsurance". I have advised them I would pay the bill as soon as they would tell me what it is for. read more

Dr. Brian Berelowitz is through, and extremely knowledgeable. He relies on clinical symptoms first and uses the laboratory testing to support his diagnosis. He realizes that the Laboratory "Normals" may not be the patient's "Normal" and treats each patient with care and personally. As others have noted, his office staff is not always up to snuff. I tolerate the staff (errors, missed promises, rudeness) because of Dr. Belelowitz. I've seen more than 1 other endocrinologists in my life as well as other specialty docs and this staff issue is not exclusive to this practice (unfortunately). However Dr. B is the best of all the endos I've ever seen (this is a tough specialty in which to find a combination of a real patient oriented doc, a very knowledgeable and through doc, and a genuinely nice and caring person in the same doctor.) I don't even mind the telephonic appointments as in today's world this is better for all of us. I've been a patient for approximately 2 years. read more

Now I'm super annoyed. One of my prescriptions was called in for the wrong dosage. I called on Thursday (9/20) asking for it to be corrected and for a call back - neither happened. I kept checking with the pharmacy. It was resent on 9/25 (5 days later), but still for the wrong dosage (sent same that they already had.) Called both yesterday and twice today. It has not been corrected, nor have I received a call back. I've now been without the medicine for 4 days and it's making me sick. Not sure why on the voicemail, they say "we will return your call within one business day" - has NEVER happened yet. Wonder if they just ignored someone long enough and something serious happened, it they could be held liable? read more

I have called their MA line at least 3 times in a week and NOONE has called back. Ok. I call their front desk to speak to a person and explain what I need and why I need to speak to someone. She transfers me straight to the MA voicemail.. I call front desk multiple times after and they did not answer the phone . I left voicemail with front desk then called and also left a voicemail on MA line. First of all, Dr Berelowitz is a good Endocrinologist and it's a shame I'm rating the doctor on his staff. I really think Dr Berelowitz is not aware of the staffs actions. Looks like staff runs the office. Front office Staff gave me a bill from 2014 and a list of LabCorp visits, said I didn't pay. "If not paid don't bother coming back!" Never left his office without paying no less than a hundred bucks each time. Checked with LabCorp, I had no outstanding balance. I tried several time to reach Nikki in Billing, spoke to her once, she told me she'd call me back. Never received a call back. Nurse called me later and thru some intimidating words that I would assume she would think back me off. I have the right to find out why the 2014 bill and why are they involved with LabCorps billing. If you can put up with the wait time and the rude controlling staff, that's the place to go. read more

I think Dr. Berelowitz and his nurse practitioner, Susan are great. However, I had a nerve test done on my legs four weeks ago and was told someone would call me with the results. I've left three messages, talked to someone "live" who then transferred me to someone's voice mail (again) and then was finally called back by Dena last week who said one of the nurse practitioners would call me. Nope, still have heard nothing. This is very aggravating and stressful for the patient who cannot get an answer. I've gone through this before when I needed my prescription changed due to an error on their part. Would somebody from this office please call me back with my results? And please, erase the part on your answering machine that says you will return calls with 24-48 hours, that is just irritating. Update: So now it's been six weeks since I had a diagnostic test and still no one has called with the results. I even left yet another message over a week ago explaining that I still need to know. Dr. Berelowitz is the best endocrinologists I found this town. He is extremely thorough to the point that he insists his MRI and ultrasounds are read by only one radiologist for consistency. I have been a patient of Dr. Berelowitz with for about four years and I see him every six months at his request to be certain that there are no changes that need to be addressed with my thyroid condition. Dr. Berelowitz with his very busy which is the only reason why did not give him five stars. He can be difficult to get into. About a year or two a year and half ago he took on a nurse practitioner Susan and she is excellent as well although I don't think you can schedule with her without having your initial evaluation with Dr. Berelowitz first. I have found both of these practitioners to be not only thorough in my evaluations, but in following up on my test results, and being intuitive about how my appearances in the examination. At one appointment. Dr. Berelowitz noticed how exhausted I was which I thought was just related to work. After further testing, and follow-ups . He started me on a B12 regimen right away and change my medication. I had no idea that the reason why was feeling bad was because my medication was off and having a trickle effect on other body issues. One of the things that's kind of funny about his office is his favorite nurse is named Dena. You can be assured every time you see him you'll hear him yelling down the hall for her (and not in a mean but I think she is his 'left hand') "Dena".... "Dena". The first few times I heard it it took me by surprise because he's not quite about it . Now when I hear him call her it almost feels like 'home' because I know the reason why he's calling her is because the patient. He's with truly needs her assistance. The office is great for giving out samples, and if your medications run low it's very easy to call the nurses desk and additional samples will be waiting for you at the front desk to be picked up as long as you don't abuse requesting them. Dr. Bereowitz what's was one of the endocrinologists that help develop the diabetes drug Byetta, but he's very humble about it. The only reason why he did not give five stars is because you cannot just automatically schedule your next six-month appointment, you have to wait for postcard and call about three months in advance. The reason why return to him is because he is so particular about his MRI is an ultrasound readings to the point when I call and schedule my appointment for these services and I say his name they know exactly when and who to schedule me with no questions asked. read more

My pcp referred me to this dr on 8/31/16. I have left 3 vm and the one time they called me back the person I spoke with could not find my referral and she said she would call me right back and never did. The next day I called and was amazed someone even answered because it always goes to vm gave me an attitude and told me she was putting me on hold and hung up on me. I see my pcp again Friday to get a new referral. Hope the Dr reads this. Sounds like a great Dr, maybe he needs to clean house and hire new staff. Saw my pcp Friday, got a new referral, new drs office called me Monday and got in within 2 weeks. read more

I hate writing terrible reviews, but I don't want someone to waste their time with this doctor. First, scheduling an appointment is near impossible. Takes months to get in to him, but I was willing to wait. The actual office visit was pleasant. His staff is nice, and he is a very sweet man! He ordered a plethora of tests for me to get done; blood work, ultrasound, CT. I was actually very worried because of all the tests that were being done. I waited a few weeks and didn't hear back from his office with the results. I called and left dozens of messages with his office over a 2 week period. I never got anyone on the phone and no one ever returned my calls. After FIVE weeks of them having the results but no one calling me, I walked into the office, demanded a copy of all the results and took them to a different dr. I wish that experience only happened once at his office, but sadly it happened two more times. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and I was proven very wrong in doing so. DO NOT waste your time here. Find a Dr. and staff that is willing to help the patients that willing throw thousands of dollars at medical testing to get a diagnosis. read more

I waited four months for an appt and due to work I needed to reschedule (giving a months notice). I called the office and left four messages over the course of 8 days before anyone returned my call and then was told I would now need to wait until October for an appt. If this is the type of service the office offers I don't care how great the Doctor is when the staff can't even return a phone call. Life happens and I'm being sent out of town for work... I have gone to Dr. Berelowitz since I was 12 years old (I am now 28!). He did move away for a few years, but I was SO happy when he came back to town. He cares about his patients and is very thorough. I know the wait-list is long for him, but that jsut shows how amazing he is. I have had a few endocrinologists since I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes 26 years ago, and he is by far the best endo and doctor I have ever had. read more

This is a truly excellent doctor but his office needs major help. The doctor really cares about his patient and wants to help but the office is poorly runned. Plus he's so booked its very difficult to get an appointment and they never answer the phone. The only reason I got in to see him was because I was very sick and another doctor I was seeing called to get me in to see him. Otherwise I would have had to wait months to see the doctor. I love Dr. Berelowitz - his nurse practitioner is a very nice and knowledgeable person. He is in high demand so you have to plan in advance to get an appointment. With that aside - his support staff in the office are absolutely awful. Getting a call back or, response on a refill is impossible. One nurse/assistant told me that if I can't reach them (I.e., get a call back) that I'm welcome to stop by the office.....ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I live almost an hour away from his office. I drive the distance because HE is worth it. Why should I drive to the office just because they've decided they're not going to return a call?! I wonder if Dr. Berelowitz ever reads these reports.
