Dr Evan's did a skin graph on my upper knee in August 2017 because I had third degree burn. I ended up at the burn ward at West Hills hospital after leaving Northridge hospital without being discharged. Botched breast implants.....twice. In 2011 I saw Dr. Evans at what was then, his practice in Beverly Hills, for breast augmentation. I had the procedure and immediately developed capsular contracture. I was told massage would cure this, but it didn't. By this time, about a year later 2012, he didn't seem to have an office. I drove to another doctor's office to see him (some hand surgeon). I returned and Dr. Evans recommended, and I agreed to having the implants removed and replaced. SAME reaction, so I had had them totally removed, by Dr. Evans. For some reason, at this time, Dr. Evans decided without my consent, to enhance my nipples, which were just fine and normal. After surgery, my nipples seemed to be attached to muscle in my back? I was told this was just temporary, and my breasts would return to normal. By now, Dr. Evans came to my home for a follow up appointment. His last exam of my post explant surgery was in my kitchen. He said my breasts would come back to normal in about 10 months time. Well, it's 2021, and I live in shame that my breasts are deformed. When I raise my arms, my breasts are pulled into my chest, from the nipple. Dealing with Dr. Evans was the worst experience of my life. BELOW IS THE FORMAL COMPLAINT I FILED ON JUNE 19, 2013 AGAINST DR. BRIAN EVANS WITH THE MEDICAL BOARD OF CALIFORNIA "On May 9, 2013 I met Dr. Brian Evans in anticipation of getting a face lift. After our consultation he scheduled the procedure for May 29, 2013. Dr. Evans required payment in full to be made before the work was to be performed. Using my Master Card, I made my first installment of $12,500 on May 16th and my second installment of $10,000 on May 25th. To my surprise, Dr. Evans telephoned me late in the afternoon the very day before the procedure was scheduled, and asked me to reschedule. Since I had already hired a nurse to take me to and from the hospital, and also stay in my home during my anticipated recovery period of 4 to 5 days, not to mention the fact that I had already rearranged my business and personal commitments, I felt that calling me literally 18 housr before the procedure was scheduled was cavalier, unprofessional, and incondiderate. So, after a long telephone conversation with Dr. Evans, we agreed that I would find another doctor to do the work...one that I could depend on. At that time Dr. Evans agreed to immediately credit my Master Card for the $22,500 that I had previously paid him. However, even after NUMEROUS emails and telephone calls to him personally and also to his office staff, he has failed to issue full credit. To date, on June 3rd I received a credit of $12,500, leaving an unpaid balance of $10,000, which has been owed to me for nearly 3 weeks. While Dr. Evans has assured me he will request the credit, he has failed to do so." Today is June 24, 2013. In speaking with the folks at Master Card, I was again informed that Dr. Evans has yet to apply the $10,000 credit to my account. Certainly, you are free to judge the actions of Dr. Evans for yourslef. I agree with the previous yelpers on this place! It really does take a lot for me to want to write a bad review on a place since I know it affects their business, but I don't want anyone else to get this kind of treatment! I went here for a brazilian hair removal and have had a very unsatisfying experience! I got rescheduled every single time I've made an appointment. I even asked them why they keep on rescheduling, and I was told the the laser machine needed to be fixed several times. No wonder I've had bad results!! Secondly, I got switched to 3 different technicians while doing 6 sessions, each with their own techniques, which adds even more to the inconsistency. . Unhappy with the results, I even spoke to Dr.Evans himself, but he was in a rush and didn't really address any specific concerns that I had and assured me that the intensity of the laser during my sessions were good. While talking, he himself agreed that consistency with the sessions were critical in obtaining good results, nevertheless the office continued to reschedule me. Thirdly, in the first 3 sessions with the office, the staff was horribly unprofessional. The technician moved me around the office multiple times from room to room, just because she wanted to take other patients in first. I am a fairly patient person, I don't mind being moved once or twice, but I was literally bottomless and I was moving around the office with just a paper cover up. And this happened multiple times! The front receptionist even sat me in the room once, told me to get undressed, came in again without knocking, and then didn't even close the door when she left, I was naked for god's sake. Later on I got a different technician named Talia, and she was well-mannered, and I do like her better, although the inconsistency of the appointments continued. The office itself is clean...however, the staff needs to be organized. I honestly wouldn't recommend this place if you really want quality service and good results. read more

I hate to leave such a horrible review, but Dr. Evans' office is truly a joke. Thank god I only purchased laser hair removal sessions, and not a more life-altering plastic surgery procedure, because after my experience with this office, I would never trust this doctor to make changes to my face or body. If you read all the terrible reviews here and still want to schedule an appointment, don't worry about picking a day or time that works with your schedule, because I can virtually guarantee that they will call you the day before your appointment to reschedule (really? I'm so glad I moved my work schedule around for my now-cancelled appointment). If this was a one-time thing, it would be no big deal -- things happen. But they have literally rescheduled every single appointment -- some appointments have even been double rescheduled -- are you freaking kidding me?? The laser technician is sloppy and doesn't seem to know anything -- she won't even clean the gel off when she's done -- you'll be lucky if she gives you a towel to clean yourself off, before she leaves the room -- and when she leaves the room, she won't bother to check that your naughty bits are covered before flinging the door wide open (I'm no prude, but I don't need complete strangers seeing me naked...) I'm also convinced Dr. Evans' office is using a crappy, non-functioning laser, because I've noticed practically no difference in the amount of hair in the area being lasered... and I'm literally the perfect candidate for laser hair removal -- very light skin, with very dark hair -- and I've had laser hair removal before, with very good results. Highly knowledgeable, extremely meticulous to detail and conservative in his approach to facial surgery, adopting a "less is more" approach, he is one of the only doctors out there you can feel safe and comfortable with when it comes to your face no matter how anxious you get. Ok, so most of the reviews I'm reading today (12/23/13) are after the April 7 date on which I purchased a Groupon for Lipo from this place. Yes. I broke down and purchased an opportunity to get some fat sucked from my batwing arms! Except that I'm not always the person who buys a Groupon/Living Social and uses it immediately...and this one had to sit around awhile. So today, realizing it expires in 10 days and wanting to use the full Groupon value instead of just what I paid for it, I call the office to see if there's any shot in high heaven to get a consult appointment today...but the telephone number's been disconnected...WHAT? So I go to my trusty steed computer, and visit the website - only an 877 number is listed....call that, and wouldn't you know, disconnected also! WTF? Well, next I move on to Yelp, to see if there are any Yelpers having issues....Bingo! Seems the Doc disappeared. Thank Goodness Groupon has policies about this, because they became the next phone call, and my account is being credited. It's true they forget about appointments, their lasers almost always break down, and then they often move/bump appointments. Their technicians are nice, but I feel like for brazilian lasering, they're not as thorough as other body areas. :/ I wouldn't come back after the third time of feeling like this but it's because of this groupon, I feel the need to complete it. read more

I had an issue with excess skin above my eyelids hanging down and pushing my eyelashes in front of my view. It caused daily frustration and eye fatigue. I hate coming here because the wait iis always 1-2.5 hours, even when youre ln time or once I tried coming early and same thing. They're always understaffed or some other excuse. I came in for laser hair removal on my arms and the lady lasered my clearly visible tattoo! Not just like she was close and it hit but she went right over it! The next time I warned her and mentioned that shed gone over it (I have scars now and need a touch up) and she said shed be more careful, I showed here where it was then as she starts up a minute later she's forgotten where it is! I had a mini face and neck lift on February 1, 2013 with Dr. Brian Evans. My husband knew his office manager, Suzie, and so I trusted her recommendation. The surgery was far more complicated and painful than I was led to believe. Two months later I was still having tremendous ear pain and went to an ENT for a consultation. He found a wad of dripping, bloody infected cotton that Dr.Evans had left in my ear canal for 2 months during the surgery! It was quite infected. The ear in question is still numb and bothering me 17 months later. I have requested my records twice to no avail, which another plastic surgeon has assured me is reportable. The office address I have is closed and the phone number disconnected. I want to have another surgeon fix this mess but he won't proceed without records. Dr. Evans is completely unresponsive. If I were litigious, attorneys tell me that I could sue, but honestly I just want to warn others. He is probably a competent surgery, but is obviously going through a bad time in his personal life. read more

I rarely, if ever, write reviews but feel it is important to share that my experience with Dr. Evans was completely different than what others have written. He is truly a great surgeon and does not deserve so much criticism. I was his patient for about 1 year as he helped me recover from facial scarring from a fall. He helped me heal in time for my wedding. Throughout my treatment he was very caring and concerned about my well being. My husband also had consultations withDr. Evans, and we both found him to be very informative, conservative with his recommendations, he listened carefully, and never pushed procedures on us He is a fine doctor and it's a shame that others had such a bad experience with his office. If things did become unorganized in his office as other reviewers have noted, I do not believe it was intentional by Dr. Evans.
