I called three offices in the area, and Steim Family Dentist was the only one that offered to get me in the next day!! Fast forward to procedure day. The front desk employees are welcoming and efficient. The office is clean and cozy. The dental assistant was so cheerful and helpful. She made sure I was comfortable and helped me feel calm. Another woman came in to inject the numbing medication. This woman was the absolute best!!!! I never felt the pinch or the pressure of the injection that I have always experienced in the past! Well done!!!! The dentist is also friendly and calming. He let me know step you step what was happening during the procedure and made sure I was comfortable. I had an exam, X-rays, and a cleaning at Advanta Dental, which was an awful experience and…read moreexpensive trial. During the exam, Dr. Boyack came across as flippant and dismissive, which didn't give me confidence in the care I was receiving. The cleaning later that day was performed in a rough and unskilled manner. I was uncomfortable throughout the appointment and ended up with pain that lasted for weeks. After the appointment, I expressed my concerns and the staff didn't seemed surprised. The next day I was told the cost of the cleaning would be credited to my next visit. When I later decided not to return to the practice due to their inability to give pertinent information and offer timely services, I requested the refund that had been offered and the office refused to issue it. Communicating with the practice to resolve the matter was consistently difficult. They will also tell you that you need to pay them $150 to be evaluated before they can refer you to a specialist. First, you can refer yourself to a specialist and second, this office caused the pain that I needed to be referred for, so that was completely unreasonable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice. In fact, don't walk, RUN from this office!

They printed out a detailed graphic of the possible dental procedures and were able to get my next to dental appointments done at once, so so far a high rating! Only draw back is when you walk in the lobby area looks a bit shabby and small and sorry third rate. I had some misgivings when I saw the building and entrance, but the staff made up for it!
