I was happy to get a 5:15pm appointment, so this way my hubby didn't have to miss any work and he was able to take me to my appointment. Finally got in to see Dr. Coxx and within 20 minutes he extracted 4 deeply embedded ingrown nails that I would have never been able to extract by myself. I had my first appointment today and it was a GREAT experience. Everyone from the front office staff, the nurses, nurse practitioner, ultrasound tech, phlebotomist and scheduler at the end were all SO kind, so personable, so empathetic and really made me feel welcome. They made me feel heard and taken care of. I know they see women like me all day, but not a single one passed up the chance to congratulate me on this exciting time in life. I contacted another Podiatrist, who asked if Dr Peterson had shared with me that it would be a difficult surgery? No, I shared, he actually said it would be an easy fix. I have been trying since Oct 2016 to obtain a copy of my records so I can review them myself and share them with my current Podiatrist. Finally, a week ago, I was given paperwork regarding the surgery (1 1/2 sheets and a photocopy of foot - not even the real x-ray but a photocopy!) I have called SO many times and the Dr Peterson simply does not return the phone call. When I stop by his office, I am informed it is NO longer his office that he just works out of the office which is now owned by another Podiatrist. The front office sympathizes with me and said they have shared with Dr Peterson the many times I have called. If they could help me they would, but his records from prior are not stored there. I'm going to contact the State for assistance as well as try one more time to speak with Dr Peterson. I have informed the front desk, that I need them to share with Dr Scott Price, Podiatrist. This surgeon is aware of the poor job he did on my foot and offered to discount a second surgery! I would NEVER let him touch me or anyone else I know for that matter. So, to be helpful to others and hopefully stop him from doing BAD surgery to anyone else. BEWARE!!!!!

They wanted to do consultation. That's what I was there for but they said they needed their own Xrays etc. I told them I had just gotten some. They explained it as being they needed theirs and it was part of the exam. Then I got charged a bill because insurance wouldn't pay. So beware what wording they use. It was not part of exam but a charge which they knew or should have that it would not be covered twice.

Yesterday, November 14 in honor of Veteran's Day I received extensive dental care free of any charge at Horizon Dental in Chino Valley AZ. The entire Staff was friendly, professional, and gifted. Sure, others say nice things to Vets these days, and I always appreciate it, but everyone at Horizon Dental went well beyond the call of duty. I hope I can find a way to pay this amazing kindness forward.
