This place had been on my list to try for a while so we were so excited to eat here. As soon as we walked in, the first thing our group noticed was how quiet it was with some very faint opera playing. We were a bit taken aback and felt like we all had to be quiet as if we were in a library- Not a big deal, though. Just an odd vibe. Then when we started ordering, our server was giving us all like this death glare. It was so uncomfortable. I asked if they had a specific item on the menu and she started saying that half the menu is discontinued in a tone that implied I should've already known that. But I figured that maybe it was just a one-off strange delivery and brushed it off. After we finished eating most of the dishes, we waited for a while for the last dish to come out. Since it was really taking a while, we thought maybe it was forgotten and asked our server nicely if she knew if it was still coming out. Her reply was a rude "I know. Our chef is really slow" in such an annoyed tone with the same death glare. No polite "sorry it will be right out" or "I understand, our kitchen is understaffed" or anything with good service manners. She really didn't want to take any accountability and just blamed the chef in such a callous way. Our whole table was a bit shocked by it after she walked away. She really seemed like she didn't want to be working there or that she was too good to be there serving us? Very pretentious and prideful attitude. I just felt I had to post about it because it is crazy to me that someone with that attitude is working in the service industry. I believe her name was Haley? I think that's what our receipt said, but it was a few days ago on Sunday so I could be remembering wrong. Anyway, the food itself was decent. The omelette rice was pretty good, but the sauce was overpowering with tanginess. We all really enjoyed the beef curry. The kimchi carbonara was sadly not very good. I think there is a lot of potential for this place to thrive, and I do hope they can find ways to improve their service. I probably wouldn't recommend it after such an uncomfortable experience, though. read more

The past two times I've been here the vibe has been completely off. I'm not sure if management has changed, but it's a completely different place than it used to be. When they first opened it was always busy and more of a cafe vibe where you order at the counter and then go find a seat. Many people would come to study or chat with friends, a very lively environment. Sometimes they would even have vendors come (it's a big space). Now, it's more of a bar/restaurant feel. In the recent times I've stopped by, the ambiance was quiet with little to no customers, spa music playing in the background, and drone videos of mountains and various other nature scenes. They also don't have the dividers anymore that separate the space so it's just one giant room. The food itself is decent but it's not worth coming back for the price and the awkward vibe. When the actual food matches the photos! We eat with our eyes first. These crepe cakes were very good, sweet but not overly sweet. My son and I drove from wylie to come for brunch. Not knowing their kitchen closes 1 he before, we could not get any food. We did not ask, but seeing how disappointed my 6 year old was, the cashier had put a cheese croissant so that he could eat something before the sweets. The coffee I got was very delicious, hanryu lattee! My friends got the okay bae, which wasn't the best but it's not unbearable, I think it's more florally than coffee. The kimchi carbonara was the star. Everyone loved it! It does have a slight spice kick to it but it's something we crave! Loved: -Spacious- There are many restaurant sized tables, a large bar with outlets, and free wifi. Great for dining, hanging out with friends, or co-working -The croissants were delicious. The cheese one would have been better if there was an option to have it heated. -There are lots of Western and Korean food options on their menu, looking forward to trying more of them next time. -Great modern & traditional korean decor, and jazz music really set the vibe Suggestions for the future: -They didn't have decaf coffee options yet. Would be much appreciated by caffine sensitive folks like me :) -The bathroom was quite dirty, but it's understandable since it looks like they're still setting up -Would appreciate if you use less plastic and more reusable tableware. OMG! The bakery items were delicious! I ordered the strawberry croffle. That was my favorite! The strawberries were sweet and the cream had just the right amount of sweetness. The crown on the Churros Mochinut was cute and tasty and not overly sweet. The Brownie Croissant was different. The Mango Slush has lots of fresh mango chinks bit it was a bit sweet for me. I'll see if they can make it less sweet next time. Definitely need to come back. And it was great great to see the KPop girls group, Craxy, there. Got to do a meet and greet with them. read more

Brought them home and I've never thrown some drinks out so fast after a sip. I went to get boba right after this because of how disappointed I was. Their matcha latte is just so... BAD. The type of matcha they use isn't flavorful at all. In an artisan environment like that, I would have thought they use fresh ceremonial matcha. Honestly Trader Joe's is even better than this. The color was literally.... not really your typical green?? It was just so diluted. All I tasted was oat milk. I was better off going to Starbucks, and that's not even the best matcha. I know what matcha lattes taste like and IT AIN'T THAT!! I know Americano is with water but I had no idea that a Americano can be even more watered down lol. It was just not good. We also got a croissant and honestly... Only get it during opening hours. They get so stale and hard to eat. During soft opening my friend did find mold in her's so beware. None of this are the baristas' faults btw. Super friendly customer service, the recipes just need to be heavily improved. No pictures cause I threw everything out so quick. My husband and I have come in everyday (that they are open) for the past week because it's that good and they have a wide variety of food so it never gets boring to order. 20/10 recommend going - whether you want coffee or to hang out. Another reviewer was spot on but unfortunately I didn't read beforehand and had the same experience. Dining room was void of tables. There were 13 customers inside about 11am on Sunday morning. There was ONE employee and although the menu has at least 7 different breakfast sandwiches, there was NO food available. WHAT? LOVE THEIR EGG SANDWICHES! That should be the headline for this review. We always drove pass it and we finally decided to check out this place. Location is pretty easy to find. A lot of parking space which is A PLUS! When you enter the restaurant.. it gets a little bit disoriented. The flow is confusing because they have a bar where you order your food, the waiter wont come to you and take your order, you need to wait in a line to order (which is weird because the concept is a sit down restaurant? But treated like cafe dining?) and they also have a sushi bar, and some coffee corner? And outside have this empty bbq section? And there is a very hot dining room because they are not air conditioned?! Very disorganized. But it's the least of my concerns. I honestly only come for the food and their pastries. We order carbonara kimchi pasta and a couple egg sandwiches. LOVEEEEEEEEEE IT SO MUCH. Pasta is creamy but not overwhelming. SO SO GOOD! Egg sandwiches are the best seriously! I saw the omelette rice on yelp and it looks good so we decided to give it a try. However, despite the bar environment, it's not kid friendly (no high chairs or boosters). We asked for some food recommendations from the waitress, she did not give us any useful tips, she did not even know all the details of dishes on the menu. Bought the signature latte. It was just okay; nothing special and wouldn't order again. Ordered a plain croissant because there is a huge sign outside that says "coffee and croissants." I was told they weren't ready, but would be ready in about 5 minutes. 10 minutes later, I was told it would be another 10 minutes. I left with a plain croissant 31 minutes later, AND IT WAS BARELY WARM! I would have never returned, but I was told that the place converted to a full bar after 5. I actually went back at 5:15. Good thing first. Their food was great. One of the better omuri rice in the DFW region. Now, the service was horrible. The server was impatient and rude. It took us longer than normal to order since we have a small kid at our party; I'm talking about 5-10 minutes (we asked her to come back to us after 30 secs of indecisiveness.) I was not sure if the water was self-served or not, but after 10 mins - we just went and grabbed water ourselves. She did not come to the table or come back to check on us once after she served the food. They had the audacity to charge an automatic 20% gratuity on our bill for a party of 4 adults and one kid. Normally, I really wouldn't mind - but this level of service is not 20%. Also, I don't remember seeing that listed anywhere, but i might've overlooked it on the menu. Lastly, their gratuity is on top of the tax (20% of food subtotal + tax), granted it's only a dollar more, but this is not the right way to do business. Was excited to go because I love croissants. Went to grab breakfast with my family. Decor was interesting - coffee shop/restaurant/bar all fused into one. Lady who was training to take our order did not understand me well (seemed like she was European?) - you need to put someone who can easily interact with the customers. They had cortado and made it well - one of the few places that actually have this, thus the two stars. The other coffee was just meh, my kids' yogurt drink left much to be desired (it tasted like really sweet sugar water with a teeny tiny amount of flavor). Went today for the ktown street food event. Food was good and very tasty. The bulgogi was very good. Self service rice and side dishes. Also had the odang soup which hit the spot on a cold day. After lunch we went to the coffee area and had brain's coffee and omg the coffee was so good...i think i might have to drive out there tomorrow to pick some up again. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this restaurant. I ordered the cheese and ham croissant out of the case and had them heat it up. It was a 10. I enjoyed it so much. I went back for a second one. My family members ordered the croissant sandwiches with egg, and they were very generous with the egg and bacon and cheese. The croissants are as good as it gets. I got the drip coffee from Guatemala and it was a 10. They play the perfect coffee shop music of slow jazz. Decor is really nice. I highly recommend. read more
