Mugwort cheesecake and sesame cheesecake
Amaya R.

The desserts were so good ! I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of cheesecake and tarts, it was all very unique. The workers were quick and helped me choose between their best sellers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a great relaxed spot to eat with my girl friend[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Wow!! The selection and wide variety of flavors of cheesecake and tarts was unbelievable! The presentation was stunning and the flavors were also spot on!

Matcha Tiramisu

I stopped by here over the weekend, as it's been on my list of places to try in the area. I was impressed by how spacious and open the bakery was inside! They even have a ton of children's highchairs if you want to bring your family. Now for the sweet treats, this place has the widest variety of cheesecakes I've seen in the area! The employees were friendly and fast! They boxed up my cakes before I was even done paying. If you like cheesecake, this is your place! I'll admit I'm not a huge cheesecake person so I opted for the strawberry tart and matcha tiramisu to share with my husband. I also got a citron cookie but I didn't love it. My husband really enjoyed it though! Every single piece is beautiful and fully loaded with tasty toppings. I will say the pieces are generous for the price at just under $10 a slice. They are BIG. The strawberry's and cream were delicious. Strawberries were super fresh and still crunchy. I really enjoyed the matcha tiramisu as it was really flavorful and not too sweet. Their cream is really good. Very light and creamy. I can't wait to return and try either the black sesame or melon tart.

The food here was enjoyable, I got a berry cheesecake. It is lightly sweetened, the fruit did a lot of the lifting when it came to having the sweetness you expect with a dessert. However, it was good, and it is standard for Asian desserts not to have that much sugar so I went and expecting that. They have a large array of options, my friend got a yuzu cheesecake and that was great as well. I would actually say I preferred it because it felt like two desserts in one, and the citrus did a lot to cut through the taste of the creamy cheesecake and was an enjoyable contrast. I'll definitely be back for the tiramisu options and to spend some more time in the café.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Wonderful Ambience and amazing presentation![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The black sesame latte has 3 shots of espresso and a black sesame foam topping. It was way too strong for me but otherwise good.. they remade for me with one shot and it was still strong but much better.. the taste of the espresso was very good though not bitter and it had a nice smooth taste just a bit stronger than what I prefer.. The chestnut cheesecake was a bit underwhelming. The cheesecake was very dense, almost too firm and lacked flavor . It tasted more of a plain cheesecake and was not quite creamy enough in my opinion however the cream topping on top was great with the sprinkles of chestnut.... The lotus chocolate strawberry tart was amazing .. a nice variety of flavors, not overly sweet it had strawberries in the center with a dark chocolate layer above the crust and a light airy chocolate cake topped with a creamy filling... [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wonderful date spot .. cozy and inviting great service ..[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Sesame cheesecake, red velvet cookie, and cranberry orange cookie

So glad this place is not closer to home. I would seriously be in trouble. My friend suggested we try this place after our lunch outing. Having no knowledge or expectations prior to coming, I didn't know what I was walking into. Dessert heaven, that's what! Displays of endless tarts and cheesecakes. So beautifully garnished and decorated. I was quite literally overwhelmed. The young ladies at the counter did their best to recommend their top choices but it was still hard to decide. I opted for a black sesame cheesecake and a couple of cookies aka huge discs. The cookies were just ok to me but wow that cheesecake was delicious. Suble nuttiness and just enough sweetness. I had to remind myself to stop from eating the whole piece in one sitting. Loved it. Highly recommend!

Food is presentable and staff are friendly and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the vibes are great[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] but this slice tasted off for some reason. I'm not sure if it was the extra black sesame or lack of cream but it was weird all around

Oh lalala, these desserts are not petit at all, and are so beautifully made. We came here after brunch on Sunday, to enjoy some cake and catch up with some friends. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat in a nice corner and enjoyed the ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried the tiramisu, but they do have so many flavors to choose from. The staff is more than happy to help describe the flavors and ingredients, super helpful and friendly. As for the cake itself, it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, however the flavors were a bit bland and it didn't really feel or taste like a tiramisu, which is fine since it's a version of its counterpart. I think the cake could have been made a bit creamier and a bit more coffee flavor would have really helped amp the flavors and texture. The soaking of the cake needed more time and it was a bit chalky.

Cute dessert shop with lots of tart and cheesecake options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good hangout spot for some after dinner dessert.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While the desserts are beautiful and have a variety of flavors to choose from, it's a bit much. There is no way I could eat one slice of anything by myself. We tried the green grape tart and the haagen dazs tart. The green grape one was good but the grapes old and were not crisp. I don't like my grapes mushy like that. The haagen dazs tart was good, rich with all the chocolate but delicious. We also tried the black sesame and earl grey tarts and those were delicious! A little goes a long way so after a couple bites I didn't need any more. Good place for sharing and trying different flavors. You do get a huge slice for a very reasonable price.

Sophia J.

You can never go wrong with cheesecake and tart! They have ending choices of cheesecake and tarts to choose from. They service is okay and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance of the cafe is super spacious with lots of tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One thing about this cafe is that the price of the cheesecakes and tarts depends on the fruits so be aware that they are not all same price.

Cake display Shelf

We were strikenly wowwed by the sheer visual display of their cakes. Their cakes are known to be towering high and very voluptious! Tiramisu* Cake Slice Visually awestruck but flavor is a bit lacking. The sponge layer is not built using lady fingers. The flavor profile is more similar to a mocha cake rather than a tiramisu. Lacking a bit in the coffee flavor that is paramount for typical tiramisu cakes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Theres still plenty of seating and the staff are friendly to answer any questions you may have.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I wanted a slice of cheesecake but wanted a non traditional one so I decided to finally try out Petit Four. I opted for a slice of the passion fruit basque cheesecake and a chocolate"cookie". I really enjoy basque cheesecakes and this was no different, the cheesecake was really dense and wasn't overly sweet and I though I wasn't crazy about the passion fruit seeds I appreciated the overall flavor. The cookie was unlike anything I've ever had, it was honestly pretty bad, super dry, dense ,crumbly and it had nuts in it which wasn't indicated anywhere. On top of that the cookie didn't have a good flavor profile, i would not recommend at all. Reason for the three stars was the frigid/unfriendly service while there. Upon walking in I wasn't greeted, I initiated the hellos and thanks you's; the two young ladies there didn't seem to want to be there or offer good service and it showed so I definitely won't be back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]With that being said the cheesecake was good but not good enough to tolerate that type of atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The cake base is as hard as a rock.

This is the worst cake I've ever eaten. This is the worst cake I've ever eaten. Disappointing The cake base is as hard as a rock.

Do they actually have good petit fours? I didn't see anything about that in any reviews. thanks

Yes, their petites have a very light taste. The Oreo cream cheese was a hit and I liked the lemon cream cheese, but wish it had a stronger lemon taste. The honey dew tart was okay, but lacking flavor.

As we were waiting, we noticed that 4-5 tables were done eating and paid their bills. All got up and left, the staff quickly cleaned the tables. The cleaned tables were empty for another 15 minutes. The lady that took our names down took a while to call the next customers. Seems like we were waiting just to wait...she sat one party down and waited another 10 minute to sit the next group... anyways, after we waited for a good 40 minutes, we were finally called to be seated. Sat down and was immediately served with water and took our order down. Time for the food review: Chicken popcorn - nice crisp and texture, but lacking flavor. Felt like it needed a dipping sauce. Pork lard rice - disappointing, bland Pork intestine with green mustard - this dish was okay.. Crispy garlic salted fish - fish was nicely fried and flavor was good. Probably the best dish so far Crispy pork chop - this is the reason why we came here.. we wanted to find a dish like May Ice cream. Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. The pork chop was extremely salted. From the skin to the pork itself. Walnut shrimp - this dish was foul. Who puts sprinkles on the side?! Tasted like I was eating an ice cream shop. The shrimp was also dry. Overall, not worth going and waiting. Food was lacking.

Came during the soft opening in September 2025 with excited expectations based on what we've heard, hoping to find a new go to Taiwanese spot. Unfortunately we didn't find what we were looking for. I admit this was the soft opening and things may improve, and for their sake I hope they do. Biggest issues for us were lack of flavor in the meat and multiple proteins being overcooked. The sauces they used had the flavor but it seems like the meat just wasn't given the time to marinate because the meat itself was bland. That coupled with proteins being a bit dry from being overcooked and you don't have a good combo. If they can tweak their prep process to let the meat marinate then it would solve most of the problems though. The best dish was the fried pork chop rice by far. A bit on the sweeter side so it just depends on how you like it. The bok choy it came with was basically raw though had more crunch than the pork chop. Service was also a mixed bag. The server was super nice and helped give us recs but it just seemed like they were still getting the hang of working in a restaurant. A glass of water got some food in it so the server took it away but they never brought us a new one. Again, soft opening so I give that some grace, but food has to be more on point for a new restaurant to make it. So all in all, there are definitely some kinks to work through for them. Normally I wouldn't write a review for soft opening but given that there are old reviews here plus food quality missed the mark more than I think it should've, I think people on Yelp should get a heads up.

We…read morewalked into a bright, casual space where the focus is really on the desserts being made fresh. Watching the taiyaki being prepared adds to the experience since the fish shaped pastries come out warm and freshly cooked, creating that contrast between hot pastry and cold soft serve that defines the shop's appeal. The signature Ahboong is the main reason to visit, combining creamy soft serve with a freshly made taiyaki cone. The soft serve has a light, smooth texture that feels less heavy than traditional ice cream, and there are plenty of flavors to mix and match. Matcha, ube, cookies and cream, and other rotating options give plenty of choices, while fillings like custard, red bean, and Nutella add an extra layer of sweetness. The taiyaki itself is one of the highlights, with a slightly crisp exterior and a fluffy inside that pairs really well with the ice cream. The warm pastry melting slightly with the soft serve makes the whole dessert feel more complete and satisfying. Service is usually quick despite the popularity of the shop. The ordering process is simple, and the fresh taiyaki preparation makes the wait feel worthwhile. Even when there is a crowd, the shop moves efficiently, and the desserts come together quickly once ordered. The staff handles the steady flow well, and the overall experience feels smooth from ordering to eating. Somisomi feels like a dessert spot built around the experience as much as the food. It is a great place for a casual sweet treat, a late night dessert run, or something fun to share with friends. The combination of warm taiyaki, creamy soft serve, and creative flavors makes it one of those places that feels different from the usual ice cream stop, offering a dessert that is as enjoyable to watch being made as it is to eat.

Orders are placed through a kiosk, and you simply pick up your order when it's ready. I ordered the regular upside-down ah-boong ($6.95) with cookies 'n cream and ube ice cream. I couldn't remember if I had ever tried black sesame before, so I chose it as my filling. It's difficult to describe the flavor, but it paired surprisingly well with the ice cream and added a unique touch to the dessert. When placing your order, you can select a topping. I chose a macaron and Oreo crumbs. One helpful tip: the toppings that are added at pickup are complimentary, but the kiosk doesn't give you the option to select them during the ordering process. The shop has a fun atmosphere that reminds me of a skate park, with plenty of seating and standing room for customers. Overall, I enjoyed everything I ordered and found the price to be reasonable. I would definitely return when I'm in the area.

If you're dining in the area, you can choose to skip the restaurant dessert and come here. On my most recent visit, I ended up eating outside due to comfort issues. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Heads up! The shopping strip is very busy, and parking can be a challenge. In the front there are many crêpes behind glass cases. It's like a wall of food art. Inside you'll find an open space with a few tables, tons of dark wood, an open kitchen, but on my most recent visit, it was uncomfortably warm. It's was pretty outside (early March), and there were a couple of benches, so I sat outside. 1/2 Star. Service - I think this is the new trend, but you now order through a kiosk. Now, there a lot of positives, because you can take your time and scroll through the selections. But for me, there's something about interacting with someone and asking for opinions. On the other hand, it allows the staff to craft your crêpe in the open, which is cool to watch. 1/2 Star. Food - Full Disclosure - I went with my daughter so I'm basing this review on her opinion. She went with the Chocolate Banana. Now, it was loaded, and the folks at T-Swirl Crêpe do not skimp on the ingredients. Each crêpe is carefully crafted from fresh batter. My daughter gave her approval. When I asked her how did her Chocolate and Banana crêpe taste? "Like chocolate and banana". Thumbs up. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. While the very warm temperature inside made it too uncomfortable for me to stay inside to watch the staff construct the crêpes, my previous visits have been great. I just hope the A/C kicks in when the Texas summer arrives. 1 Star.
