Wonderful Ambience and amazing presentation! The black sesame latte has 3 shots of espresso and a black sesame foam topping. It was way too strong for me but otherwise good.. they remade for me with one shot and it was still strong but much better.. the taste of the espresso was very good though not bitter and it had a nice smooth taste just a bit stronger than what I prefer.. The chestnut cheesecake was a bit underwhelming. The cheesecake was very dense, almost too firm and lacked flavor . It tasted more of a plain cheesecake and was not quite creamy enough in my opinion however the cream topping on top was great with the sprinkles of chestnut.... The lotus chocolate strawberry tart was amazing .. a nice variety of flavors, not overly sweet it had strawberries in the center with a dark chocolate layer above the crust and a light airy chocolate cake topped with a creamy filling... Wonderful date spot .. cozy and inviting great service ..

Wow!! The selection and wide variety of flavors of cheesecake and tarts was unbelievable! The presentation was stunning and the flavors were also spot on!

So glad this place is not closer to home. I would seriously be in trouble. My friend suggested we try this place after our lunch outing. Having no knowledge or expectations prior to coming, I didn't know what I was walking into. Dessert heaven, that's what! Displays of endless tarts and cheesecakes. So beautifully garnished and decorated. I was quite literally overwhelmed. The young ladies at the counter did their best to recommend their top choices but it was still hard to decide. I opted for a black sesame cheesecake and a couple of cookies aka huge discs. The cookies were just ok to me but wow that cheesecake was delicious. Suble nuttiness and just enough sweetness. I had to remind myself to stop from eating the whole piece in one sitting. Loved it. Highly recommend!

Food is presentable and staff are friendly and the vibes are great but this slice tasted off for some reason. I'm not sure if it was the extra black sesame or lack of cream but it was weird all around

The food here was enjoyable, I got a berry cheesecake. It is lightly sweetened, the fruit did a lot of the lifting when it came to having the sweetness you expect with a dessert. However, it was good, and it is standard for Asian desserts not to have that much sugar so I went and expecting that. They have a large array of options, my friend got a yuzu cheesecake and that was great as well. I would actually say I preferred it because it felt like two desserts in one, and the citrus did a lot to cut through the taste of the creamy cheesecake and was an enjoyable contrast. I'll definitely be back for the tiramisu options and to spend some more time in the café.

The cake base is as hard as a rock.

This is the worst cake I've ever eaten. This is the worst cake I've ever eaten. Disappointing The cake base is as hard as a rock.

Cute dessert shop with lots of tart and cheesecake options. Good hangout spot for some after dinner dessert. While the desserts are beautiful and have a variety of flavors to choose from, it's a bit much. There is no way I could eat one slice of anything by myself. We tried the green grape tart and the haagen dazs tart. The green grape one was good but the grapes old and were not crisp. I don't like my grapes mushy like that. The haagen dazs tart was good, rich with all the chocolate but delicious. We also tried the black sesame and earl grey tarts and those were delicious! A little goes a long way so after a couple bites I didn't need any more. Good place for sharing and trying different flavors. You do get a huge slice for a very reasonable price.

I wanted a slice of cheesecake but wanted a non traditional one so I decided to finally try out Petit Four. I opted for a slice of the passion fruit basque cheesecake and a chocolate"cookie". I really enjoy basque cheesecakes and this was no different, the cheesecake was really dense and wasn't overly sweet and I though I wasn't crazy about the passion fruit seeds I appreciated the overall flavor. The cookie was unlike anything I've ever had, it was honestly pretty bad, super dry, dense ,crumbly and it had nuts in it which wasn't indicated anywhere. On top of that the cookie didn't have a good flavor profile, i would not recommend at all. Reason for the three stars was the frigid/unfriendly service while there. Upon walking in I wasn't greeted, I initiated the hellos and thanks you's; the two young ladies there didn't seem to want to be there or offer good service and it showed so I definitely won't be back. With that being said the cheesecake was good but not good enough to tolerate that type of atmosphere.

Oh lalala, these desserts are not petit at all, and are so beautifully made. We came here after brunch on Sunday, to enjoy some cake and catch up with some friends. We sat in a nice corner and enjoyed the ambience. I tried the tiramisu, but they do have so many flavors to choose from. The staff is more than happy to help describe the flavors and ingredients, super helpful and friendly. As for the cake itself, it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, however the flavors were a bit bland and it didn't really feel or taste like a tiramisu, which is fine since it's a version of its counterpart. I think the cake could have been made a bit creamier and a bit more coffee flavor would have really helped amp the flavors and texture. The soaking of the cake needed more time and it was a bit chalky.

You can never go wrong with cheesecake and tart! They have ending choices of cheesecake and tarts to choose from. They service is okay and the ambiance of the cafe is super spacious with lots of tables. One thing about this cafe is that the price of the cheesecakes and tarts depends on the fruits so be aware that they are not all same price.

We were strikenly wowwed by the sheer visual display of their cakes. Their cakes are known to be towering high and very voluptious! Tiramisu* Cake Slice Visually awestruck but flavor is a bit lacking. The sponge layer is not built using lady fingers. The flavor profile is more similar to a mocha cake rather than a tiramisu. Lacking a bit in the coffee flavor that is paramount for typical tiramisu cakes. Theres still plenty of seating and the staff are friendly to answer any questions you may have.

This Korean style cafe offers a wide and unique selection of tarts, cheesecakes, cookies, and macarons. We tried the fig and berry tarts along with the tiramisu cheesecake and everything was delicious, just a bit on the sweet side, so I'd recommend sharing rather than finishing a whole slice on your own. I definitely want to come back to try more flavors and maybe grab a macaron next time. I also appreciated how easy they make it to share by providing extra forks and plates. The cafe is very clean, modern, and spacious, making it a great spot to sit down and hang out. I didn't get a drink but my sister got the black sesame latte and she really enjoyed it - it wasn't too sweet!

Do they actually have good petit fours? I didn't see anything about that in any reviews. thanks

Yes, their petites have a very light taste. The Oreo cream cheese was a hit and I liked the lemon cream cheese, but wish it had a stronger lemon taste. The honey dew tart was okay, but lacking flavor.

They had bento boxes and dessert similar to Meet Fresh, and it was more of a casual, hang out spot. This new store is next to Ztao and they are more of a sit in restaurant. Their menu was short and when I asked if they had bento boxes, the waitress didn't really understand my question. Their menu consisted of.. 1. Main Entree $14.99 that came with rice, noodles, or congee 2. Soup $3.99 three options 3. Sides $4.99 several options No dessert menu, only a little stand on the table with taro pudding that costed $8.95. We ordered their braised pork chop, daikon meatball soup, and pig ears. Like I mentioned, food was good, but nothing special. You can only order the side and soup if you order one of the main entrees. This new store is nothing like their old store, just fyi.

Located in a Carrollton's popular (busy) Korea town, Somisomi is a must visit if you crave sweet, fun deliciousness. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - On weekends, Somisomi is packed, loud, and full of energy (introverts be warned). It's an open area with creative, communal seating in the front and standard tables in the back. But the star is the open kitchen where you can watch the army of staff expertly craft taiyaki, soft serve, and sweet treats. 1 Star. Service - The line on my Saturday night limit went to the door, but it moved quickly. You can order through a human or a tablet (same line). Once you give your name and number, the team will expertly craft your order. They are swift and friendly and will call your name as soon as your order is ready. 1 Star. Food - While there are a number of items on the menu, my go to item is the taiyaki. Originating from Japan, the warm/hot cakes are shaped like fish and filled with your filling of choice. I always order 5 - 2 custard, 2 Nutella, and 1 random. The warm vanilla cake is soft but be careful! The filling is hot. Pro Tip - split your fish in half, allow the creamy custard or hazelnut Nutella to flow out before taking a perfect bite that's not too sweet but 100% delicious. I'm also a fan of the Ube soft serve with an upside-down fish cake. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Somisomi may be a chain, but it's my kind of chain. Sweet, Japanese themed desserts will also hit the spot before or after a big meal. 1 Star.

If you're dining in the area, you can choose to skip the restaurant dessert and come here. On my most recent visit, I ended up eating outside due to comfort issues. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Heads up! The shopping strip is very busy, and parking can be a challenge. In the front there are many crêpes behind glass cases. It's like a wall of food art. Inside you'll find an open space with a few tables, tons of dark wood, an open kitchen, but on my most recent visit, it was uncomfortably warm. It's was pretty outside (early March), and there were a couple of benches, so I sat outside. 1/2 Star. Service - I think this is the new trend, but you now order through a kiosk. Now, there a lot of positives, because you can take your time and scroll through the selections. But for me, there's something about interacting with someone and asking for opinions. On the other hand, it allows the staff to craft your crêpe in the open, which is cool to watch. 1/2 Star. Food - Full Disclosure - I went with my daughter so I'm basing this review on her opinion. She went with the Chocolate Banana. Now, it was loaded, and the folks at T-Swirl Crêpe do not skimp on the ingredients. Each crêpe is carefully crafted from fresh batter. My daughter gave her approval. When I asked her how did her Chocolate and Banana crêpe taste? "Like chocolate and banana". Thumbs up. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. While the very warm temperature inside made it too uncomfortable for me to stay inside to watch the staff construct the crêpes, my previous visits have been great. I just hope the A/C kicks in when the Texas summer arrives. 1 Star.
