    Brian's salad with chicken

We got a reservation for Friday evening, they sat us out back which I highly recommend because we not only saw the local gators that hang around the area, but were also so excited to see an eagle in his perch right across the water! Food-wise, the Cuban quesadilla was delicious. I had the Brian Salad with chicken for an entree. Honestly, the chicken was not good at all. No taste except burnt and also quite dry. The salad itself was very good though and my husband enjoyed the salmon very much. Bread pudding was a very generous portion, almost too much. Very very tasty.

Brian's Place is such a gem -- a true family-owned restaurant that delivers memorable dishes. We started with the grouper cake, and wow... it was awesome. The light sear on the outside gave it the perfect little crunch before getting into the tender, flavorful fish inside. From there, we went all in with the Grouper Three Ways and the flounder special. The flounder was stuffed with crab and artichoke and was absolutely delicious. The Grouper Three Ways was delightful as well -- each preparation brought out different flavors and textures that made the dish feel fun and elevated. Entrées came with a choice of soup or salad, and I went with the pork and pinto bean soup. Comforting, hearty, and full of flavor -- definitely worth choosing. I'll be honest, it's not the cheapest spot in town, but they offer an early bird special that is totally worth giving a try. Great value for the quality you get. And don't sleep on the drinks! They have a really nice seasonal menu that rounds out the experience perfectly. Highly recommend Brian's Place if you're looking for fresh seafood, thoughtful dishes, and a cozy, family-run vibe. Will absolutely be back!

Finally got around to going to Brian's on Paella night! Located at 3430 Shoal Line Blvd Hernando Beach Fl Brians always Parking was ample, wait was non existent (I am a party of 1) but with parties of 2 or more I suggest reservations. Lisa was the hostess and she was very courteous and hospitable, my waitress Victoria was also awesome! Paella night is usually Wednesdays but this Wednesday he had Hogfish paella! I started with a house salad and garlic bread. The salad was crisp and a great start and the garlic bread soft and warm. The star of this evening was definitely rich, savory and aromatic hogfish paella, flakey hogfish, tender mussels and clams, with succulent shrimp and flavorful rice mixing in a harmony of spice! I savored every bite of the Hogfish paella and wished I could save some for lunch tomorrow but it was just too good not to enjoy all of it in the moment! I'm telling you folks Brian's does not miss when it comes to great food and relaxing ambiance!

A gem of a place right in Hernando Beach! Been here many times...the interior of the Restaurant has been redone, due to the horrible storms we had...it is absolutely beautiful inside! The food and the service was wonderful..some of us ordered off the early menu and the choices were great..I had the Grilled Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and it was delicious! My friends had the Paella and Steak and were all happy as well...looking forward to coming back really soon!

We didn't make reservations on a Tuesday evening, but I noticed many people did. The dining room is a little small so it's probably a good idea to reserve a table. We got the coconut shrimp, roast pork mole and blackened salmon. All very good and cooked well. The have early dinner specials T-Th for $17 definitely worth it!

We were cheerfully greeted upon walking in and seated immediately. Small place with tables, small accommodating bar, nice decor and Italian music playing, are we in Italy? Our server, Gina came right over and greeted us and told us the daily specials. They have a very nice selection of entree's to choose from, something for everyone. Extensive wine list as well. She took our order and got the ball rolling. She brought us warm bread, olive oil dipping sauce and butter, as well as our salads, you pick either soup or salad. Salad was fresh and the Italian dressing was so good. Our food came in a timely fashion, hot and made to order. I ordered Fettuccine Amatriciana, large portion and it was delicious. Husband ordered Rigatoni Susanna, again, a huge portion and we shared a side of homemade sausage in tomato sauce, he enjoyed his pasta and the sausage was fantastic. Gina took good care of us, too full for dessert, and she boxed up my leftovers, Hub devoured his!! Prices were reasonable for this wonderful restaurant and the service you receive, a real gem of a place and a local favorite!! Give this place a try, make a reservation, you have been warned!! Driving by it looks like nothing, inside is a large seating area, a bar area and then doors to go to the outside where on the weekends at least there's live music. I took a step outside to get a picture of the pizza oven, what a beauty! I did not know it was the owner, but I asked the guy if I could grab a picture of it and in an Italian accent, he said get a picture from over here you can see inside. Our waitress was very knowledgeable, friendly and fast, And she had some large tables. The pizza was absolutely delicious. I asked the waitress while looking at the menu, I saw that they said some homemade pasta. She told me that they make all their pastas, breads, sauces, and pizza dough on site. We will have to come back and try some other meals, but the wood fired pizza was phenomenal. I had seen this place on the socials, and one time working my way back home when the expressway was shut down...I drove by it, and would've never noticed it if I hadn't known the name. The place is definitely doing the business, but you need to go. It is a hidden gem. One of the better pizzas in the drivable area for sure! The owners are from Italy, need I say anymore. Oh, I almost forgot that they have a nice selection of beers on draft. Seriously, reef donkey for five dollars. It only made the pizza that much better! And the sidenote when you get mushrooms on your pizza, you get a mixture of delicious mushrooms, all fresh, even shiitakes. The red peppers are freshly cut, and the onions are sautéed, which just adds another layer of flavor. And definitely when we go back I am getting some meatball sliders, cause we got meatballs on the one pizza and they were so delicious, just a tender flavorful hold together meatball but not dense! Well, done, my friends! You have a new loyal customer.

I ordered a Stromboli and specifically requested that olives be removed and anchovies substituted. Without my authorization, the restaurant added an extra $4 charge--despite the fact that no anchovies were included at all. They removed the olives (which costs them nothing), failed to add the anchovies, and still charged for them. That is not a mistake; that is a billing failure at best and dishonest at worst. The food itself was unacceptable. The Stromboli was soaked in oil--literally dripping grease--to the point of being unappetizing. The flavor was bland and lifeless, with no seasoning and no balance whatsoever. The peppers and onions were large, raw, and barely cooked, suggesting a complete lack of basic preparation or culinary care. This establishment simply does not know how to make a proper Stromboli. By the time DoorDash fees were added, the total came to nearly $40 for a large Stromboli, which was grossly overpriced even if it had been prepared correctly--which it absolutely was not. This was my second attempt after a prior disappointing pizza order. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. That was a mistake. Equally troubling is DoorDash's role in allowing unauthorized price increases with no customer approval or accountability. That alone is reason enough for me to cancel my DoorDash subscription. In summary: poor food quality, incorrect orders, unauthorized charges, and zero value for the price. Avoid this establishment, and avoid DoorDash's lax oversight, unless you are prepared to overpay for an inferior and misrepresented product.

Saturday night visit and things not going well for Mike and Franks…read more.. I normally get pizza or wings (best wings in the area) but decided to be adventurous and order some pasta. I couldn't decide on one specific item so I order the Taste of Italy; meatballs, ravioli, manicotti and lasagna. My food arrives and I'm deciding what to dig into first and only see three items. The lasagna is missing. Grab our hostess attention and she takes the plate away. She returns with the plate several minutes later, still no lasagna, but says the lasagna will follow shortly. Others and myself are finishing our meals when the lasagna finally arrives. That's when we hear the hostess telling the table next to us the only thing they could order was pizza, no wings or pasta dishes could be ordered. We were very thankful we got there for pasta whatever the issue with the kitchen was. We were hearing someone called in sick. Sad that one individual was able to shut down a majority of the restaurants menu. Hopefully a one off bad night as we've had a number of good experiences. Will return again, maybe outside of the busier hours.
