Guido's was a recommendation from a friend that lives in the Springhill area. We ordered a small Guido's Special pizza. The thin crispy crust is delicious. The mount of toppings and sauce was sufficient for the size of pizza. The cheese sticks we ordered were basic cheese sticks, nothing outstanding. The restaurant was not busy so we were seated and served right away. The seating was comfortably spaced and lighting was sufficient. We would return again for pizza if we were in the area. Haven't been here in quite a while. Ordered anti-pasta and two large cheese pizzas. The anti-pasta was a lot of old looking lettuce had more of the ends the hard pieces than the leafy greens. The pizza was good. The service was excellent and the place was warm and welcoming. read more

Early Saturday dinner at the beloved Guido's. 5:30 reservation, although we didn't need it was the place was pretty empty, seated right away. Order water and an antipasto salad for the table and peruse the menu. This my third visit to Guido's I knew I wanted pizza but was wanting to make an attempt at the Lasagna. So I did just that. Lasagna comes served with soup or salad so I pick tonight's special chicken pastina soup. Antipasto salad is good, enough for the four of us at the table. Good choice on the soup, very flavorful. Lasagna arrives and it is HUGE, covered in a marinara sauce. Nicely done, great combination of meat, cheese, pasta. Great flavor. Pizza arrives, large sausage and cheese thin crust. Love the sausage but not a fan of the pizza sauce, lacking flavor for me but everyone else enjoyed it. The food was plentiful so we took pizza and lasagna home. Service is not overly attentive but adequate to get through the meal. Overall a great meal at Guido's. read more

We've been here a few times and it's hit or miss. The sandwiches lack flavor. Salt or some seasoning goes a long way The pizza I like because of the crispy thin crust, however my mother loves hamburger pizza unfortunately they only have hamburger meatballs and once again no seasoning makes it bland We did also order the guido special pizza without the anchovies. It was tasty but needs more sauce. We probably won't go back because of these issues as well as the bland service that we received. It's unfortunate because they could really have a great little restaurant if they would just add the seasoning! read more

Have been going to this restaurant over 10 years. Ive actually moved to Beverly Hills but love the pizza here. Went there Thursday and ordered, the waitress came out 30 or so minutes later with a pizza that was incorrect from my order. She apologized and said (they are going to make you the correct order and you can take this one home, I just brought it out to see if you wanted a few pieces until yours was ready. I said no thanks I'll wait for mine and take that one home. 40 more minutes and mine came out, ate it, got another glass of wine and when the bill came the waitress said oh I'm sorry they threw the other pizza out. Which she had promised me. However I didn't charge for the glass of wine! I asked for manager, nope I called later for manager, he'll call tomorrow. I guess don't hold my breath. We have been to this location a few times now and quite enjoy it. It's very easy to get to with convenient parking. The decor is slightly outdated but not in an old way, more so in a welcoming, comfortable way. The service we always receive is great! I swear the pizza tastes better and better every time we eat it! According to my Chicagoan buddy, the pie did not closely enough resemble Chicagoan thin crust. With that said, he didn't shy away from pounding slice after slice. Toppings placed under the cheese opposed to ontop which was an unexpected, but not detrimental, wrinkle. Overall, good flavor and only moderately greasy. read more

My husband and I have been patrons of Guidos since they were in Port Richey on 19 over forty years ago. Over the last year or two, the changes to "your" dining experience have changed and not for the better. The portion sizes have been significantly reduced ,while the prices have continued to go up. Not an uncommon story, but the selection of meals on the menu is appetizing, if you're lucky enough to have them cook the meal. I took the time to call before coming to Guidos because it has happened too many times before- I ask for the chicken piccata and I'm told that the meal is available and when I make the drive, somehow the chicken is all GONE! I have come to the conclusion that they prefer to make pizza only because it's probably less time-consuming and cheaper for them to serve with a higher profit margin. As a result, when you sit down and your family orders, all of a sudden they're all out of chicken. Tonight, they are very busy and have only 3 waitresses trying to serve the entire restaurant, including the bar area. I find the staff overworked and very abrupt, they lose track of who has come in first and serve people that waited behind you first ... and don't forget how long they leave you standing at the door. Yes, the pizza is good-... but whoever is running, ordering and staffing this business needs to return back to entrepreneurial school 101...my patience are gone with giving them one more opportunity to prove they know how to run an establishment that doesn't disappoint its loyal customers. read more
