We found Dr. Bijoor to provide a second opinion and we are so grateful for her expertise. Dr. Bijoor has the newest innovations that enabled us to reduce the work for our son. She took a long-term, more thoughtful approach to the issues and the result was an easier in-office procedure. The entire staff was phenomenal. The COVID procedures and safety measures are extensive. They are friendly and helpful in every way. After listening closely to the dental issues, they were able to book an appointment sooner than expected. During the visit, they were clear about what insurance would cover and what we would be responsible for -- all before the procedures. Also, it's worth noting that she avoided some procedures that the first dentist insisted were necessary, which was less risky for our child. She carefully explained her recommendations and ensured I understood why her medical plan differed. This practice is outstanding and I strongly recommend Dr. Bijoor, Ruth, Maria and the entire staff. Dr. Bijoor is one of the best doctors that I have dealt with in any medical setting. She always treated me and my younger siblings like family, and even came into the office on a Sunday in an emergency for me. Her staff is always kind and her hygienists do a thorough job. I highly recommend this practice, only thing is your kid won't want to switch to an adult dentist when the time comes! read more

Dr. Bijoor came highly recommended by a trusted midwife, and she released a lip tie for my 1 week old son. Dr. Bijoor was patient and recommended the procedure but did not pressure us to do it. In the end, it didn't seem to make a difference in terms of nursing success, and I don't know if it was necessary. But that's not even the reason for this 1-star review. Dr. Bijoor's billing staff is either dysfunctional or fraudulent. The office is in-network with our insurance, yet we were charged almost $850 out of pocket for the procedure because our 1 week old baby "wasn't on the insurance yet." Apparently, this is untrue. Babies are retroactively given benefits. I have spent HOURS on the phone with Dr. Bijoor's office and my insurance company over the past 8 MONTHS to try and get refunded. The billing person is only in the office 2 1/2 days a week, and the bookkeeper is there 1-2 days a month I believe. And they don't seem to talk to each other. After hours of sitting on the phone doing the math with their billing person, we finally figured out the amount I am owed and she said I'd receive a check. Didn't happen. I finally started leaving messages for Dr. Bijoor directly, and that's when a got a phone call that the check is going out. I received it a few days later... it was $100 less than I was supposed to get. Now I'm waiting YET AGAIN for the bookkeeper to be back in the office. I believe that the office took advantage of me as a sleep-deprived new mother who was worried about her baby. I should NEVER have written the check. BEWARE THIS MAY BE A SCAM. read more

First time in was not bad except one of the flavors they use did not agree with one of my kids. It was than supposed to be written down not to use. Next visit we go to months down the line to get a check up and while doing cleaning they end up using the flavor he hates and my child had to go to the bathroom to get sick. I didn't like it and upset me watching him miserable. Apparently it wasn't written in the book. So I now see them writing it in the book not to use the mint. Wouldn't you believe in not even 10 minutes later while they start to do polishing guess what flavor they used again? Mint! So my kid gets sick and upset stomach again. I kept my cool but needless to say I was not very happy. After that I decided it is time to find a new pediatric dentist. The attention to detail wasn't there for me. read more

I can't say how The dentist or the hygienist is because we never got to see them. This review is just for the scheduling staff. Poor miscommunication between staff resulting in me almost getting to the office to be turned away. This is only because I caught the mistake and not them. Will never be going to this practice again. It takes a lot of work to prepare some kids to go to the dentist. I don't appreciate being jerked around like I have all the time in the world to waltz back in almost two hours later with a toddler. read more

I implore you to very carefully consider whether to take your child to this dentist. We took our kids here on multiple visits where a cavity was identified and corrected. However, we became suspicious when on every visit Dr. Bijoor identified more "issues"...the last straw was when in one visit, she identified additional "cavities", recommended sealants for his teeth and also said my son has a speech issue due to the tissue on his tongue (which she of course was happy to surgically correct). I felt like I was being sold a used car...on the back of my 7 year old child! While suspicious, the latter issue she identified caught my attention as my son is special needs and has seen specialists for his speech, none of which said his tongue was an issue. When confronted with this information, Dr. Bijoor stood by her recommendation which was later refuted by both my son's developmental pediatrician and speech therapist. The best part of this story however is that we took my son to another dentist who said there were no need for any cavity work, despite Dr. Bijoor's instance only months earlier. Again, I think the facts speak for themselves and I have been considering filing a complaint with licensing authorities. This place is a marketing machine, not a dentists office. read more

I normally don't leave reviews but what I witnessed the other day in this office was disgusting ! My child had a dental appt here and I just have to say the staff is beyond friendly & warm. Ready to answer any questions and really help make the experience a smooth one. However the other day the dentist was yelling at her staff infront of me and although you don't know the dynamics of any office but that should've not been happening in front of a parent nonetheless a child. It's puts everyone on eggshells and adds stress to the child. The chemistry and energy between staff should be a vital piece of the experience and lots of employers tend to forget that. Most people don't use Yelp for Medical professionals but, reading these reviews, I felt I had to write one of my own. We have a 4 week old newborn. My lactation specialist identified a tongue tie and a lip tie that were making his latching during breastfeeding more difficult and painful than it needed to be. I was looking for a pediatric dentist in Westchester with a laser (not someone who would clip with a scissor). Meeting with Dr Bjoor was a breath of fresh air. She said the tongue tie was super mild and she wouldn't recommend correcting it. However the lip tie was significantly limiting his ability to flange his upper lip (not her opinion alone, it was obvious). She said we could go to a specialist in NYC who would cut both but we trusted her suggestion and she was right!! Two days later, breastfeeding is going great and our son is thriving. We are lucky she didn't jump to do two surgeries for no reason and advised us against it. Great Dr, great experience. Thanks!!! read more

What can I say? There is not enough words to say how much I really appreciate the entire staff. Dr. Bijoor took to my son very fast and is dealing with him with kid gloves (he has a sensory issue and has not let anyone in his mouth until now). The rest of the staff is amazing as well. I would give them 20 stars if I could. I have said thank you time and time again but they will never know how much I appreciate everything they did. My son had a wonderful experience with Dr. Bijoor at Briarcliff Pediatric Dentistry. After a traumatic filling our previous dentist continued to neglect several dental issues my son was having in an effort not to traumatize him. While I of course didn't want my son to fear the dentist, I am currently in school to be a dental hygienist and the more I learned about current dental practices it became clear my son was not receiving the best care. If your child has an emergent issue or is fearful of care this practice is the place for you. Dr. Bijoor's use of lasers and NO2 helped keep my son calm and pain-free during procedure, they indulged his curiosity and showed him the equipment and gave him time to process the experience. He actually got up from the chair asking to come back. Also, as a dental student I appreciated that Dr. Bijoor's treatments are in line with the most current standards of care, where as his previous dentist was more "old school." Furthermore, the staff (Demi, Ruth, Jessica, and Liz) were all wonderfully helpful and friendly. read more
