I don't understand how these people say he is great. great prices yada yada yada... i came there to ask how much it would cost to replace my laptop screen.. check out the answer i got. the girl there, who has no clue.... said i had to bring my computer in so David can open it up to find the exact model number to buy the replacement.. i think she should take a computer course.. something called SETTINGS tells you everything you need to know about the computer. i then proceeded to tell her i already had the new screen, i just needed someone to put it in and how much it would cost. check this out for a range she gave me... 174.00 to 280.00 dollars.. seriously? what a way to lose customers and business David.. keep her employed there. i got it fixed for 125.00 go figure. read more

Nothing but good things to say about say about this place. My laptop stopped responding to my keyboard and John took me in right away and fixed it in about 10 minutes (after trying for hours to debug it with Google's help). He also addressed a couple of other issues that he found. Next time I'll just skip the Google self help method. Thanks John! read more

Brickcomputers bought a few chargers from me, another small business computer store, on ebay. David Dion waited for a month after receiving the items, then opened a dispute with ebay that he never received the items. Mr. David did not realize that I had made a mistake on the tracking number putting it into ebay. thankfully, I keep meticulous records so I found the tracking number updated ebay tracking and checked USPS. And what do you know? The item showed delivered within a few days as expected! David Dion now has to cancel his ebay request. No response from David either, as expected from someone who tries to scam people and businesses. I'm sure it doesn't bother David because this is likely how he scams scam all his suppliers and customers but I'm going to make sure people know who they are dealing with when they come to Brick Computers. Cheers David! Don't be a David Dion and try to scam other small businesses when you do all your business online with your business name and full name. Way to go David. read more

I love this computer place. Dave the owner really knows his stuff. One November I needed computers (3), a server with remote access, and a network for my small business & I needed a computer set up for my father (who is in his eighties) at his home. Dave was so helpful and patient with me and my questions. He had never met me and for all he knew I was kicking the proverbial tires. In the end we came up with a good game plan for both projects that I needed and since I'm a bit flighty when it comes to computers (I so want to be a neo-Luddite.) Dave went out to my Dad's to set up his new computer and transfer files for me (great 28" screen too) and came to my work and set up and streamlined the new network. Since then, my wife has needed to replace her lap top (after a horrible experience with a month old $2,500 DELL - which reminds me that she needs to review them and give them 1-star). A week doesn't go by that she doesn't tell me how much she loves her computer from Brick. Then one Christmas I told my wife I was ready for my first lap top and again we (really she, since it was a gift for me) visited Brick and she purchased a small Acer which was perfect for my limited needs and travel. From time to time we need a mouse, or cables or a printer and Brick is there for those needs as well. And their service is top notch. If we have a problem Dave or one of his staff steps in and helps out in whatever capacity we need them. Why anyone would go anywhere else in this area is beyond me. I always love the local, small business - everything is just more genuine. There's nothing like walking in or calling and an owner knows your name. And Dave knows our names. A General Note About Supporting Your Local Small Businesses: I know some people that pick the brains of small business (or the big box stores) and then go on-line to buy something to save a couple bucks (which is not always the case by the way - Brick, as an example, has GREAT pricing). But even if that business is a couple bucks more expensive - customer service, convenience and honesty have to be worth something. read more

This place is awesome. Very honest and fair. I went in with screen issues with my laptop and spoke to John. Talked for a while about the issues. Basically told me it wasn't worth fixing. He could have very easily charged me to take it apart and replace the screen but that it was an older laptop and not worth the expense. Good to know there is someone we can trust with computer issues! read more

This is a great example of a small business that provides excellent service and are extremely competently. I brought my failing dLink NAS into David after exhausting all avenues (including the manufacturer) of trying to recover data and David was able to quickly access and correct the issue and all the while provided fantastic customer service. My computer was hacked and my info sold in eastern europe - needless to say I needed all kinds of help - Dave was there every step of the way - don't know what I would have done without him. Who would of thought that there would be a full service computer company right here in ipswich (on route 1 right over the border from rowley) I bought a laptop there for my son going off to college and the service was great and the price was super reasonable. They even fix computers too! Thumbs up on this one! read more
