We have had great experiences with NE Computer Techs. The first time I called them, they were able to diagnose my problem over the phone at no cost. Embarrassingly, the problem was that my power cord had been nocked slightly loose. But they were very nice about it, and their advice was free. Later, when my wife's computer was irreparably damaged, Kyle offered her a refurbished machine at a good price, which is still serving her well today. Recently, my aging desktop had been blue-screening multiple times per day; I spent weeks trying unsuccessfully to solve the problem. I brought it in to Kyle the same evening I called him, and within 48 hours I had it back, working better than the day I bought it. He backed up my data, replaced my failing HD with a better SSD, thoroughly dusted it out, put on a fresh install of windows, and added malware protection to cover me until I reinstalled my own. All of this came in at the very reasonable price range he quoted me when I brought it in. Over all, NECT are communicative, honest, fast, and very knowledgeable. Look no further - You've lucked out and found the best. They will go above and beyond to fix your computer problem. I called and spoke with Kyle. He was on a job and told me he would call me back when he was done. He did and offered to pick the computer up at my home. The computer was setup and running and told him I could show him the exact problem. He said yes, that's the best. He couldn't fix it on the spot, so he took the computer to his shop. He returned it the next day, and low and behold the same problem. He immediately said it's your monitor causing the problem. I had a spare monitor but not with HDMI. He left, and without saying a word, he and his wife ran around store to store looking for an adapter to connect my spare monitor to HDMI. He found one, called me and told me he wanted to be sure his diagnosis was right. He returned a few minutes later, installed the adapter and problem fixed - It was in fact the monitor causing the problem (on and off black screen). He had my computer up and running a day after I initially called him. He said that he likes to treat his customers like family. In my lifetime I've never experienced service like that. Words cannot express how grateful I am to Kym and Kyle. I was without a printer for eight months -- eight months! -- and I called NECT with this outrageous question: Do you make house calls? Kyle's response: Yes! I was so gobsmacked that for a nanosecond I was speechless. Then I babbled on and on about how old I am and how much I needed this for work and to make a very long story short, we bonded immediately, and he and Kym showed up exactly when they said they would -- same day, as a matter of fact -- and within five minutes Kyle had the printer, um, printing. Well, while they were here, could they get my second printer working? Yes! A week later, I'm still in awe, My office was a mess, as was I, and Kym did much to make sure I didn't trip over anything . . . and Kyle organized a thousand cords and wires. Kyle was a lifesaver! :D Earlier today I bought an open box monitor. The monitor came with a soundbar, which was missing a NEMA 5-15P to IEC 60320 C5 cable (see attached picture). Since it's the apocalypse and all of the stores are closing early, I was frantically searching my nearby Walmart (closes at 8:30 pm) and Target (closes at 9 pm) stores. No luck. No sales associates knew what cord I was even talking about. Luckily I did a quick Google search and found these guys, which Google says is open 24/7. I called N E Computer Techs at 8:45 pm. I described the cord extremely poorly, "not a normal 3-prong, like the triforce but circular" and Kyle immediately knew what I was talking about! (He calls it the "Mickey Mouse" cord.) Probably one of the best customer experiences I've ever had. My computer was basically unusable and Kyle and Kym came in on their day off, only a few minutes after I called in with my problem, and had it working again in 30 minutes.
