We can't thank you enough for everything you did to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. From start to finish, your professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail made us feel so supported and cared for all thanks to Cassidy and the Brick team. Every moment was seamless, beautiful, and full of joy--all thanks to your incredible team. You didn't just provide a venue/planning service--you helped create memories that we'll cherish forever. We feel so lucky to have worked with the best wedding venue and planner ever! Thank you for going above and beyond and for making our dream day a reality and I can't wait to get my photos from the beautiful venue to post them online

BRICK is fantastic. We opted to pay for wedding coordinator services with BRICK very early on in the process of planning our wedding. We were lucky enough to have Lindsay as our coordinator and we have nothing but good things to say about her. Lindsay was imperative to making our day a success and really keeping all vendors in line all the way through the end of our wedding day. She was so funny, helpful and readily available for any random questions that we may have had. Lindsay! We love you bro! BRICK as a venue itself is so so great, it's open and ready to be made into whatever you want for your special day. Pricing of the venue is also great in comparison to other venues that we looked at. Parking is ample and location is unbeatable. We would highly recommend using BRICK for any special occasion!

My husband (still getting used to that!) and I had our wedding at Brick on 5/23/25 with the help of Cassidy's expert coordinating and Sabrina's top notch staff. It's impossible to imagine anything better than our experience at Brick! The setting, the ambiance, the care and support of preferred vendors: everything was perfect. Even the weather which showed off in true San Diego fashion! We will cherish our wedding memories always thanks to the incredible team that brought it to life!

Gorgeous venue! I attended a wedding Friday and this was a lovely space! It seemed like it would fit a decent amount of people. I want to say this wedding was maybe 100 people. It was big and spacious and I loved the brick element and the garden lights up top. It seemed very customizable to what every couple would want. We had cocktail hour outside - next to traffic was slightly weird but still nice with the band the couple hired.

Wow!! BRICK was awesome. The location of the venue was perfect. Close to the airport, hotels, brewery, restaurants, and a karaoke bar. It made the entire weekend very enjoyable to plan different events for our guests. We opted to pay for the month of coordination at BRICK and worked with Lindsay. She was great!! We met often, and she was very thorough with all the details. We often changed details about our timeline, and were very particular about specific dances and videos we wanted played on the projector screen. She was able to make all of our dreams come true. We were blown away when we entered the venue the evening of our wedding. It was beautiful! The ambiance was incredible with the brick walls, string lights, candles, and greenery throughout. It felt so magical. We also booked all of our vendors through the recommendation list BRICK provided. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants to custom build their venue. It's such a great spot to have a romantic ceremony and an epic party! 10/10!

Pros: * Amazing Venue; love the brick decor * Plenty of Parking * Easy to Find * Open House showcased a lot of great vendors Cons: * Time limit on parking; according to Brick employees, it is not strictly enforced Extra: * Great Wedding Venue option

We used Brick for our wedding venue in February 2024 and I can't say enough good things about the venue or the team. I really liked that we could take the space and customize it exactly how we wanted. It was more work on our part than going with a venue that had preset vendors but the entire Brick team made the process seamless and super easy to navigate. It also made our special day more "us" because we chose the vendors we wanted and not every vendor is going to match every couples needs/personality. I definitely recommend doing a planning service with them if you choose this venue as the attention to detail is impeccable and takes alot of the pressure off the couple. From day one I knew that the team had it handled and would take care of any issues that came up throughout the planning process and the day of. They clearly communicated what needed to be done, kept us on a timeline to make sure everything was completed on time and made sure the day of that everything went seamlessly. They have a great list of vendors they provided which allowed us the option to choose what worked best for us and suited our needs. We couldn't have been happier with the vendors we chose and all in all everything came together exactly how we wanted it too. Thank you to everyone at Brick for your hard work and dedication to making our wedding everything we imagined and more!

I am so happy I chose BRICK for my wedding. They made everything so easy and the location was perfect! My guests loved it and the whole vibe of the building was amazing. Lindsay really helped with making sure everything ran smoothly! Picture credit is Roses and Reeds photography

You can decorate the space however you want so it's very customizable. They also allow any outside vendors for food and drink which is a plus because I know some venues make you work their list of food vendors only. I found the staff very easy to work with. We communicated via email the weeks before our party and they answered any questions I had promptly. The only con I had this place was the parking situation. I toured this place in the late afternoon after work when things were nice and quiet, so I didn't think the parking was bad at that time. But on weekends at around noon, it gets really crazy. Factor in the weekend crowd and if there are any other events taking place in the area, it is a nightmare. Some of my family members weren't able to attend my event bc they spent 40+ minutes driving around. I would definitely recommend getting there early or ride sharing, or maybe hosting your event later in the afternoon to avoid the crowds. It was also pretty warm. They do have air conditioning, but since it's an indoor/outdoor space, it's hard to keep the cold air in. It's not the venue's fault for the hot and humid weather we have been experiencing though. Just something to be aware of. Overall, my party turned out great. I would recommend, but just really assess the parking situation.

The lack of communication and the miserable spirit in that office are shocking. Before I continue, I do want to mention the woman sitting in the corner--I believe she works on the corporate side. She was a delight to work with and a breath of fresh air compared to the two miserable women who share the office with her.Let's start with your very first interaction when you walk through the door. The receptionist is essentially Wednesday Addams on downers. She has absolutely no personality and is not welcoming at all. I don't know if she and her desk mate went to the same class for blank expressions and terrible customer service, but they provide the absolute bare minimum. Talking to the receptionist on the phone is like pulling teeth without anesthetic. I don't know who hired these people. I don't care if you're miserable because the venue is falling apart and will probably be torn down soon; you still have a job to do. That job is to provide customer service, answer questions, and be polite. She fails in all of those areas. Now for the main event: Roslyn. This woman is the most miserable person I've ever met in my entire life. She is the absolute queen of blank stares, dismissiveness, entitlement, and withholding information. She is a curmudgeon who never has a good day, even when she tries to fake a smile. She was the absolute worst to work with. If we didn't have to hold our specific event here, I would have cussed her out or pulled her over the desk.I don't know if this woman thinks we can read her mind. We don't do her job, so we don't automatically know the required steps for planning an event at this venue. Yet, every single question seems to be a massive problem for her. Every breath she takes seems like a chore. She is one of those people who clearly hates coming to work every day, and she makes sure everyone who crosses her path feels that misery.I have worked with a lot of venues and put together many events. When I say I have never worked with a staff so miserable and incompetent, I mean it. Whoever is doing the hiring probably needs to be fired too, because this attitude is consistent across the board. I have watched them deal with other customers, and they treat everyone with the exact same miserable attitude day in and day out. When you're planning an event almost a year in advance, you have to contact the venue numerous times. You might think they just had a bad day, but no--every single day is a bad day for them.Management needs to do something about this. The way they treat customers is horrendous. I truly hope they meet someone worse than them in their own lives so they can see how frustrating it is to deal with that level of incompetence.Look, I know the venue probably offers a great rate, but you get what you pay for. You are definitely getting a Dollar Tree experience at Marina Village. My advice: keep looking. Do not give your money to a place where you are not appreciated or even acknowledged. It's just ridiculous. I don't even have the words to fully express my frustration with this venue and the two trolls at the front Also in the rooms : Old smelling musty rooms Dirty stained and torn "provided" chairs Several of the attendance to include myself left with FLEA BITES ! Carpet is old and musty and dirty in the rooms that were not previously "Ranch Events" spaces . They upgraded the spaces prior to not resigning the lease apparently . But you will be paying 3X the price for those rooms. Good luck if you want to risk it

You can bring in your own vendors (like me!), which gives clients more flexibility and control over their event. It's truly just a beautiful, open canvas of a venue. The built-in bar is spacious and perfect for bartending services, and there's ample room for setups of all sizes. Another huge plus: parking! The large lot makes it incredibly convenient for guests and vendors alike--something you don't find at many venues in San Diego. The owners are also fantastic to work with--responsive, accommodating, and professional. It is definitely more of a family-friendly type of hotel (actually, it leans more of a motel than hotel). So here's my two cents.: The good: The Dana is in a great location close to the water, technically overlooking a marina. There are two pools, one where they play movies, which is great for families and second pool located near the restaurant (I will have a separate review on that, so stay tuned). The second pool is really nice and offers a nice view of SeaWorld. At night you can catch the SeaWorld's drone show from the pool. The staff, especially the front desk team, was incredibly kind. They went above and beyond to make sure I had a good stay. The Eh: While my room was clean, it had a motel feel rather than a hotel/resort feel. If staying on the second floor, be prepared to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs since there is no elevator. The buildings also feel a bit outdated. It was difficult to truly relax because every time someone walked past my room, I could hear the footsteps and the room would actually rattle a bit. The walls are also quite thin, I could hear kids screaming next door. For one night after taxes, fees and parking, I paid nearly $400. At that price point, I expected a slightly more elevated experience. Because of the motel-like feel and the overall value for what I paid, I give The Dana 3 out of 5 stars.
