My husband and I had our wedding here in February and it was perfect! We utilized the glass area next to the club that you can add on for our ceremony and held our reception on both the inside and outside. We had a smaller wedding only about 100 people but it was perfect for what we needed with extra room to spare. We set up our own tables and chairs and brought our own decorations. It's definitely a do it yourself venue but for the price and being on the bay we couldn't pass it up. Limitless places for pictures as well!! read more

The space was perfect and allowed us to have a photo booth trailer on the lawn, taco station, big dance floor on the deck, room for the DJ, couch seating with a propane fireplace, bar access from the inside and outside areas, custom ice cream sandwich station...oh and probably the best views in San Diego looking out over the beautiful Mission Bay at sunset! Went to the Tower beach Club for the first time the other night to watch Steve Poltz perform. It was the first concert in over a year and was perfect. The seating is great so that there are really no bad spots. You can even mingle in the grass next to the deck. Food truck provided which is fun and helps another local out, and sodas and craft brew inside. The views of the bay are wonderful with boats passing and it all came together at the end with fireworks from Seaworld. If you enjoy outside venues, especially small intimate ones where you feel like you're with family and friends, then this is the spot. Can't wait to see what they have next. read more

We attended our first live music event here since COVID changed the world. This place is AMAZING. It was the best possible live music outdoor venue we could have dreamed of. Board has been A-OK for the month I've had it. It's a beast, for sure, even at 10'. It's awkward to carry because it's unbalanced and makes carrying it to the beach a pain in the ass. The tail just wants to drag ass hard on the sidewalk. I am able to catch waves on it and have fun in the water, though, which is the best part for me. Felt like the guy at the store was telling me BS most the time to get me to buy the board, which, fair enough, he's a salesman. But then I came home and re-read the reviews and noticed that he and his family/friends wrote most the reviews here on Yelp. The "cool" shop someone spoke of is an old windowless office the size of a bedroom, with clutter everywhere, including knick knacks from these salesmans' old business ventures, including poker chips. So far, the product itself is how I rated it, A-OK. It floats and surfs. I was less impressed with salesman style approach for being a local shop. (Compared to many of the mom and pop surf joints around town, who include wax, or a leash, or something with a $650 purchase.) Not sure how I feel about the vent screw that Eric K. mentioned. They did warn me about it and I understand how it works, however, it feels like a ticking time bomb. It's only a matter of time before I forget to unscrew and it gets too hot out. This review is for the iSUP, which is also posted on Amazon, where I bought the boards. I think the Tower iSUP is a great value, good quality board, that does pretty much what the Tower web site says it does. I spent quite a bit of time researching SUPs for a family trip to visit my mom, who lives on an inland lake in northern MI. I wanted to to have some stand up paddle boards to play with on the lake. I opted for an inflatable, because it would make storage easier, we could travel with them if desired, and we were just going to flat water paddle. I bought 2 (because the price is reasonable), hoping I was right that these were as good as Tower's somewhat overhyped web site says they are. I couldn't be happier with the boards. They were easy to unpack, I found the simple instructions easy to follow (really, how hard is it to blow up a board, screw a fin on, and assemble a paddle?). The pumps worked fine, but is a lot of work getting them inflated. I had an air compressor, which made it a lot easier. Amazon sells a 'High Pressure SUP Inflator Valve' by Slingshot Sports' that I bought for this purpose, which I highly recommend if you have an air compressor and an iSUP. I inflated mine to 15 PSI (just over the recommended 11 psi), since they are supposed to take 25 PSI, and it performed great. The boards are amazing rigid. I am 190 lbs, and didn't feel any bend at all. My feet were high and dry, even in 1-2 ft choppy waters. The boards track pretty well, and paddle as easily as the 10'6" epoxy boards I have used for flat water and ocean paddling. One exception may be going upwind into some chop, where they thickness makes it harder to cut through waves. I am a regular ocean surfer, and while I didn't ocean surf these boards, I don't think they would be the best surfing boards. I know they are capable of surfing, since we caught and rode some huge boat wakes and did some tow in wake surfing on the iSUP. But they were tough to control on the fast, small wake, and not nearly as much fun as our 6' fish glass board. The paddle is serviceable, but one must recognize it is an inexpensive paddle (this is clearly stated on Tower's website). It was easy to assemble and adjust, and nicely fulfilled it's purpose. If I was going to use this as my main SUP (which I would if I traveled and SUP'ed a lot), I would buy a higher end paddle. But for what we did it was fine. The paddles do sink (also clearly stated by Tower), but take a minute or so to do so. So it isn't like if you fall off the board and drop the paddle, it will be at the bottom of the lake. I cut off a small bit of a swim noodle and made a float, but took it off in a couple days as it just wasn't needed. My wife and 3 boys (110-170 lbs) were SUP'ing all week, and we had a great time exploring the beaches on our lake. Friends and neighbors who had never seen SUPs couldn't believe they were inflatable, and borrowed them to try them out. One neighbor bought 2 for their house after trying my boards. One guy that used them was likely 250 lbs, and he also had no bend issues and paddled easily. Nearly all of these people were novice SUP'ers and were off and paddling in a minute. My 74 year old mother even took a lap. Tower seems to take a fair bit of abuse from various web sites and reviewers, but I don't see why. In my opinion, they make a good quality product at a really good price. I am very happy with the purchase, and think these boards are a great value. read more

OUTSTANDING! I bought a 14' Xplorer board from Tower and have been thrilled. Board has exceeded expectations--- have even tandomed with three people on the board and over 450 pounds. I LOVE Tower SUP. The staff are so nice, and everyone is friendly and not pushy. I just got the tower 9'10, and have taken it out at La Jolla shores. I am not very experienced at paddling, but everyone working there was really helpful with techniques, getting the board on and off of my car, etc. No one pushes you to buy anything, and they seem to genuinely care if you enjoy your experience. I love the 9'10. It is super stable for the length, and the carbon fiber paddle is amazing. The deck pad is comfortable enough on your feet, and even for those of us who aren't good enough to start on their feet (ME!), the pad is comfortable enough to kneel until you are stable on your feet. Looking forward to taking it out again this weekend and hopefully spending more time standing! read more

I am a big fan of tower sups. They are high quality products for a significantly less than buying in stores. For those of you who haven't used sup they are very easy to balance on and use. In addition they provide a great work out whether it be paddling or using the board as stability for abs or yoga. The staff are knowledgable, friendly, and readily available for questions. I personally like to suport local and/or small businesses and tower completes both of these criteria. I wouldn't buy from anyone else. They've got a customer for life in me. read more

We bought two boards in August. One inflatable, one regular. I was worried about the inflatable for obvious reasons. I LOVE it! Both shipped super fast and are awesome. When we got them we noticed one paddle was missing a part. We kinda just made due, and then forgot. When we emailed this week to order just this part, we fully intended to pay for it, after all we waiting so long to call. Surprise! New paddle because they don't sell the part we needed. I use my on a lake in MN. I'm 5'11" and 175 and have never used a ISUP. We bought the 9'10" Adventurer. I liked the idea of an affordable easy to transport board that is good for beginners both big and small. My research led me to Tower. Getting going: Very easy to blow up except towards the end you have to get a little busy with the pump to get it to the suggested 11lbs psi. You almost have to go to where you feel its totally full before the needle on the pressure gauge starts moving. So, don't quit pumping and wait for the need to move. Once it starts moving you only have a couple more pumps (hard ones) and you're good to go. Underway: I stood up on my Tower board immediately and was cruising the lake in no time. On my return trip I hit some moderate chop and a little wind. I made it home no problem but it was a little tricky but kind of expected. Now that I know how great these are I will maybe buy a longer one for more speed. My kids used it no problem and it was so nice and easy to deflate and throw in the back of the car after a great weekend. Thanks Tower! read more

I bought the Adventurer 2 inflatable paddle board and I love it! This board inflates easily but I just keep it inflated and transport it in the back of my 4Runner. It sticks out of the rear window a couple of feet but it's OK for short distances. The board might not track as well as a non-inflatable but it is light weight so it's worth it to me. Be cautious of the quality of these boards. I purchased two of them at the same time and used them (very few days) on my sailboat on Lake Superior. One of them has been fine and the other has very narrow overlap on the seams and blows out a seam every time the board is inflated to the Tower specs with their pump. read more

I purchased a 9'10" inflatable SUP. The package arrived quickly with all of the parts, strap, and paddle. The whole package is a very good price for an inflatable SUP. As for actually surfing on this board, it is not really designed for catching waves, and is really best for floating and paddling. That's what I've been doing so far. Weehoo! The only con to the whole package is the heavy paddle that is sent. It is rather heavy and awkward in my opinion. I have a QuickBlade and would suggest buying a nice Werner or Quickblade paddle in lieu of the Tower paddle. Sorry guys! Maybe the Tower team should offer swapping the paddle as an option? These are just FUN MACHINES! I have 3: the 14' & 2 9'10" Adventurers. All inflatable models - Because I don't live near the water. I keep the 14'er on my boat & use it for everything from SUPing to being a floating island/raft while we swim off the boat. Just Securely Tether It. We take the 2 Adventurers on our adventures, travelling. Just came back from Rhode Island. We were the envy & curiosity of many. This was the viable option to renting off the beach & is our investment for years to come, for lakeside camping. My brother in law is now actively inquiring about his future purchase. We had So Much Family Fun, Taking out the kids, surfing to the beach [ I recomend removing the tail fin for this]. & just having fun. Re: oean beach use, the flatter, calmer the better. You ride well above the water balance is a little trickier than with the solid SUPs as they ride more "through" the water. The inflatables are more forgiving when you fall { & you will}. I fell on the board [several times]. I didn't risk or receive injury due to the nature of this board -& It's Tough. I recomend: a set off roof racks [removeable wide kind] for multiple day useage. & that you get 1 or 2, because everybody wants a ride. Lastly, PFDs / a leash should be a must for safety. In addition, the Tower staff is great, very helpful & accommodating. I even had an opportunity to communicate with the Tower President. It doesn't get any better or responsive than that! Affordable paddleboards that are less expensive purely because they are a direct manufacturer to consumer product (think tuft & needle of paddleboards). I have the mini and it so easy to transport. Their shop on Garnet is their office and not necessarily a full blown retail shop, but we were able to swing in and get a paddle which is what we were looking for while on vacation. Was helped by a super sweet girl who shared some details about the #fivehourworkday and even gave me a book written by the owner which I am loving. I love supporting companies making great products while also taking great care of their employees. I'm a huge fan and recommend you check them out! read more

My personal experience with this company was by far the absolute best in terms of customer service and prompt replies to all of my questions. I have recommended Tower to all of my friends here in the Miami FL area. As to the product itself, I purchased the 11'5" Tower SOCIAL. I love everything about this board, especially the classic surfboard design. At 62 years of age, I've taken up stand up paddle boarding as a means of finding peace and serenity following a huge loss in my life (the death of my wife of 42 years). Got my Adventurer iSUP 3 weeks ago, and so far I'm very happy. We spent the day on the lake today with friends and neighbors and they all had a blast trying out my board. I was afraid that the price was too good to be true, but it's an excellent board for the money. My friend has an iSUP from another company that cost twice as much as my Adventurer, and she likes my board better. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the shipping process was slow - 8 days between placing the order and shipment - and they couldn't tell me if my board was going to ship out of the current batch. But, they are a young company and will probably get this straightened out. I also ordered the light weight, one piece carbon fiber paddle, and I couldn't be happier with it. At $189, I think it's a steal. read more

My husband and I recently bought two beach cruisers (no motors) and love them. They arrived promptly and were well packaged with easy assembly instructions. They are quite sturdy and really fun to ride. Fat tires are rugged enuf for navigating local streets but not too knobby to make peddling tough. Seat is comfortable. Handle bar position is great for casual riding. Rubber chain makes riding so smooth. All in all, very pleased and highly recommend. read more
