We came into the Brickhouse hoping for brunch and their bottomless mimosa deal, which we were told right away did not exist anymore because they were short staffed! Moving on, we were one of the first 5 tables in the restaurant and saw people come and go while we waited 2 hours for our food!! Horrible service..mediocre food. .just a really unpleasant experience. If there would have been bottomless mimosas we may have been more willing to sit there for 2 and a half hours! Have heard it has been great lately...maybe just not Sundays! read more

As a local to Grand County, I try to support the local business. My wife and I were in the mood for a cocktail before some grocery shopping. We decided to stop in at Brickhouse and give it a try. We usually stop in at the Roadhouse, but we weren't close so we tried something different. Unfortunately, Brickhouse came up way short. My wife ordered a margarita (9$) and I ordered a mojito (9$). Her margarita was very sweet and my mojito was terrible. On the menu, it says mint leaves muddled, but there was no mint in the glass. I still tasted it and it was awful. I asked about the lack of mint and the bar tendress replied she used mint syrup because they were out of mint. It wasn't her fault, but they should just remove the item from the menu. I don't blame the staff. It's usually management who is responsible for failure. read more

They serve up a nice variety of sandwiches, burgers, salads, soups and more. Ingredients were fresh and service was really friendly. We stopped in looking for a beer and snack. Asked to sit outside and after waiting for someone to come take our order for about 10 minutes, another party came out, sat down and was immediately waited on. We gave up, walked back inside and sat at the bar where we got served immediately. Nice vibe, cool place, decent prices, and great (bar) service! We loved our visit to Brickhouse 40! The five of us found a high table near the fireplace and settled in for a comfortable, cozy lunch. We started with a couple of apps which were delicious, the caprese salad and the pears. Beautiful presentation and delicious taste. The service was fantastic, attentive but not overly so with plenty of time to discuss who was sharing and decide on our orders. I highly recommend the avocado chicken sandwich (my mother-in-law very much enjoyed it) and the stromboli. My best friend is celiac and was very happy with the BBQ GF pizza. It was HH so the $5 wine and beers were also a big hit and the price tag was perfect. The atmosphere, food and service were a win-win and we highly recommend this stop if you are passing through or fortunate enough to stay nearby. GREAT SPOT-we'll be back next time. read more

The poutine appetizer was decent, but kind of soggy. The burgers were requested at medium rare, but came out well done and very dry. The chicken entre was ok, but also dry. Not too impressed with the food. The worst thing was that my teenage son came back to report that the bathroom was "disgusting." It takes a lot to get that moniker from a teenage boy. Hubs and I hadn't been here since pre-Covid and were anxious to get out. We both got the Beer Cheeseburgers. They were Huge (1/2#) and can't Jed perfectly EXCEPT the cheese tasted like Velveeta (a processed cheese product but NOT real cheese) ! It almost ruined the otherwise outstanding burger for me! Took 1 hour to have our entrees served when there wasn't a wait. I ordered a steak salad. This was served with fajita meat that was mainly gristle. Disgusting. Had to spit most of it out into my napkin. My husbands steak was decent. Sides were lackluster. My 7 year was super impressed with the grilled cheese which is why I gave this 1 star. Chef offered a free dessert due to their inefficiency and we declined because honestly who wants to wait more time for most likely a crappy dessert. Never again. read more

This place has change a lot in the last few years. Overall, it is a good option in Granby where there isn't much. They have a great Old Fashioned and over the years have had a changing menu with on and off good eats. We ate there with our neighbors last fall and had a great time, good food and drinks. The service is slow, but I attribute that to covid shortages. The staff was very kind and courteous. read more
