I've visited Bricks & Minifigs Pasadena multiple times, and every visit has been consistently great. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about LEGO. My kids love digging into the mix bins and building whatever they imagine, and the store has always been incredibly welcoming about it. We've never been pressured to buy anything or rushed out -- it's always a relaxed, positive experience. I'm planning to bring in some unopened sets to sell, and I appreciate that they offer that option. My son and I love sitting down to chat and build a Lego set. Some of my best memories with him. We also love creating new ideas with the massive collection we have accumulated over the years. This store was a good spot to stop when we had an idea but needed like 10 of a specific brick or like a cool looking wall from another set. We will never be back. The franchise corporation allegedly stole another man's giant collection and refused to pay him or return the sets. They do it because they can and fighting them would be too costly in time and money for the guy they allegedly stole from. My son and I weren't going to spend 10's of thousands of dollars, but we were going to spend plenty. I think there are tons of people like me out there that are forever gone unless everything is made right and there are major changes in leadership....I think corporate misjudged the cost/benefit of thievery in the age of the internet. read more

I go to this Bricks & Minifigs occasionally to browse and I've purchased from them several times. I've also done a few trade ins as well. It's a great shop for those who like Lego or even those who are just trying to buy a gift for others. If you like Lego but are too lazy to build, you'll like how they have stuff that's already built. I initially came here because I had a project that I needed to finish by the next day. Regular LEGO stores mainly sell complete sets and are very limited when it comes to specific parts. WHAT YOU WILL FIND HERE -Retired LEGO sets that LEGO no longer sells in their online or retail stores. -Sets that are new in sealed boxes -Sets that have their boxes but have been opened (the shop goes thru and verifies that the parts are complete) -Sets that are missing their box but have been verified to have complete parts -Sets that are already built -Minifigures sold individually. -Old gift with purchase sets that are no longer available from Lego. TRADE IN You can bring your old sets here and if they are in acceptable condition, they can make you an offer for them. They typically have to be retired sets that Lego no longer sells. SERVICE They've been friendly and helpful on all of my visits. VALUE Most of the prices (for unopened sets) that I've checked have been consistent with market prices. PARKING The closest parking is on the street (metered). There's also a parking lot in the back. I think your first hour is free. read more

If your looking to buy or sell this is probably the place you want to be!! I was impressed with the specialty items and just really everything that was available in the store. I was window shopping for Birthdays and Christmas, man do they have lots of accessories, for mounting and displaying your sets or mini figures. I do like how they buy and resell sets giving you a chance at something that has been out of circulation for a long time. Overall experience 5 stars the staff greet you when you walk in, they were super nice when asking them questions and very knowledgeable of inventory. I built up credit here with trades initially, but the prices were always high and the bulk selection was always severely damaged. The trade values steadily went down and it just became a chore to shop here and spend the credit even when I stopped trading for more credit. They would occasionally get an influx of vintage sets but they were usually priced to stay on the shelf. I know a lot of people are posting negative reviews because these stores are paying their corporate partner money that is now being used to hire global law firms to intimidate the same community that fueled 95 million dollars in annual revenue BUT The truth is these stores were always overpriced and shameless. You don't need a controversy to stop shopping here. It's like those sneaker consignment shops, designed to legitimize the eBay vampires that gut fans on the resale market. It's not pleasant to shop in a den of vampires. And that's all Bricks and Minifigs was designed to do: suck revenue from the resale market. Plus, now that it's been revealed that Lego has no relationship with BAM, whether "authorized" or otherwise, it's clear that these stores really are just thinly veiled collections of eBay vampires hiding behind a brand steeped in misrepresentation. Prices seemed decent, maybe you could find lower prices if you hunt endlessly online, but these places are more like Lego thrift stores (in a good way). They have some current sets and some people might be looking for more, but understandably it wouldn't make sense for a mom and pop franchise to compete with big stores (much like used game stores) I've been into a few of these stores, and since these are franchises they can be slightly hit or miss. This one stood out for its presentation, and you could tell there was a regular crowd interacting with the owners. Also lots of families. read more

This is a small little hobby shop for builders of bricks! They had so many different types of Lego sets to build and some already built for purchase. There are two entrances to this location. One on Lake Ave. Street parking requires payment on Lake Ave. Its the first shop on the right, as you enter through a door into a building. Or you can get 90 minutes free parking on the "back" off of Mentor Ave/St. If you parking there, it's South of Del Mar and the entrance you're looking for is next to the Sensai restaurant. The parking instructions in the back is a little tricky... you do NOT have to pay for parking for the first 90 minutes you're there!! As soon as you are about to hit 90 minutes, go back to the paying meter machine, enter your car information, pay for your parking, grab your ticket and out it back on your dashboard. There IS a parking monitor that walks around and checks your car! The staff are extremely friendly and are very helpful. As we were walking around with our nephew, they offered to hold our sets as we kept walking/looking around. They have a small room called The Vault. In that room, they have discontinued sets and older sets for sale. Now, keep in mind there are some boxes that are bent out of shape, so it's not in its prime condition, but they are unopened. In the middle of the room, they had two large sections where you can purchase small little accessory pieces that they either sell per piece or per set. There are these 8-10oz plastic cups that the guests can shove as many pieces as they'd like into it for a set price, or simply get the pieces that they need or want. We came with our nephew and he chose specific pieces, but my husband and I filled the rest of the cup with the smallest pieces to cover the area that still had some space. They also had medium and large gallon bags that can do the same thing. The price range can be $$-$$$. So be careful of who you'd like to bring with you, haha. read more

I came here today to possibly sell or trade a set of mine but I was turned away because I was told that they only take discontinued sets. Where does it say that?! I asked the lady. There's a sign at the door she tells me. How absurd is that. What they think people in Pasadena are the only ones that buy Lego? But I checked online, I tell her, and she says it's on their website. I tell you no such information is readily available not should I have to go out of my way to find such information. They claim to practice sustainability, but they don't. And they're liars. They seem to have nice things, but they seem to be grossly overpriced. read more

An amazing location with an amazing owner who has established a great community hub in Pasadena

Although we felt a bit nervous the entire time we were in the store - it had more to do with the odd parking situation in the lot behind the store more than anything that was going on inside the store. A parking attendant we spoke to said, "Yes, it is free to park for 90 minutes, but first you must pay." Uh, then it isn't free. So, we just parked anyway and set a timer so we would be out in plenty of time. We were greeted as we entered, and we headed straight for the bulk. The lady behind the counter complimented us on our matching Lego shirts. We were coming home from Madera, CA after four days of hosting a Lego booth where we got to help kids of all ages free build Lego, so we were looking for pieces for the 2025 fair. This store was great for what we needed, and we paid and headed out for the rest of our road trip. We liked our experience and will definitely be back on another of our trips. And - our vehicle was fine - no tickets or anything. Just odd verbiage on their signs and info from talking to the attendant. If you're in the area and looking for Lego sets, pieces, or minifigures - give this store a shot. Highly recommend. read more

I love Bricks & Minifigs. And the fact that they're constantly getting new old sets and figures means that chances are every time you go you are going to find something different. I love taking my younger boys here to look at the mini figures while I look around at all the old sets I had as a kid (or wanted as a kid) as well as the newer old sets I couldn't afford when I was a poor college student (& would now get in trouble by my wife if I bought & brought home). You can tell the staff all are huge fans of Lego and love to see the smiles on kids & adults alike as they roam around the shop. My only 'complaint' is that I wish it was closer to where I lived. It's a good 40 minute drive for me which means I can't come in as regularly as I want. But then again, that might be a good thing for my bank account! But that's a personal problem and obviously it's not their fault. All I know is that whenever I find myself in Pasadena I make sure I come over & check out what they have in stock. read more

Pretty neat first experience. Lots of sets, both new and vintage that I have not seen elsewhere. Great selection of Minifigs and pre-built sets as well. Street parking in front and parking lot in the back with EV option is amazing. Beautiful Colonnade building as well. The unit itself is a bit small but they fit in a lot in that space! Have not traded here but from what I hear is a bit aggressive. Will be back for more eye candy! read more

A great place for any Lego Fan! I noticed this store right on lake and thought I should go in and take a look, given I'm always tempted to buy a set here and there. I was greeted with a wave of nostaglia and joy! Bricks & Minifigs have a mix of current and past Lego sets available for purchase as well as a glass case of minifugures and a trading area to trade in any old sets you might have. I was so happy to see so many sets from 2014 to now. They had a great selection and it made me excited to add to my collection and even revisit some oldies. The staff were super helpful and are able to answer questions about any specific sets you may be looking for. I had a great time exploring and I will definetely be back when its time to buy my next set or go window shopping. Parking is locatd in the back area like other shops on lake. If you feel like getting some extra steps in, there is a structure near the Macy's accross the street. read more

This store just opened on May 4 so we were excited to check it out. We've been to other Bricks and Minifigs around Southern California but we wanted to see this one since it was so new. Overall, the store is nicely laid out and they have a good amount of inventory. But when we asked if we could get a quote to sell a used Lego, the lady (who I think is one of the owners) was so rude and curt. At other Bricks and Minifigs, I've sold other Legos and would usually get an approximate price for cash or in store credit over the phone. This store wouldn't do that even in person and although I understand that they would like to look at the Lego before making an offer, the lady was just so rude when speaking to us. My favorite LEGO store ever, anywhere. They buy used sets, and they sell bulk and vintage sets.

So I've been to this store three times now, and each time I've gone I receive no welcome in greeting. Usually I'm okay with that, but this time they both looked at me and stared right back down and kept on doing what they were doing. After minutes in the store I noticed they would welcome other guest so that obviously offended me. I also was trying to trade in some sets that I was curious about, And after I got done discussing the price I kindly declined the offer. I start collecting my things and it's clearly notable that I was starting to leave and no goodbye or come back again. I don't get how you could have such a horrible attitude working AT A LEGO STORE. Both employees are not at all welcoming and the tone of voice they have does not match to what it's supposed to be. In order to have customers come back again, you got to have nice customer service. Again I don't understand what could be so hard to be nice or have good customer service. If you can't do it find another job, for gods sake ITS A LEGO STORE!!! read more

Walked in a few minutes before closing to check the store out for the first time and as soon as the clock hit 7 PM the employee demanded we get out the store even though others were in there and we were still browsing... not good for business at all. I love that this store has opened in Pasadena. I took my son to visit a month after they opened and they were very friendly. The store is colorful and we enjoyed the Lego displays, as well as the selection of older Lego sets that are not easily found elsewhere. read more

The two guys that work there seem nice, but the lady who works there is just the worst. Brought in a value of $600 worth of Legos (and I know this because I sold everything later on WhatNot for this price) and they took 40 whole minutes to offer me $75. I countered with $120 (because there was a prebuilt UCS A Wing for $250 that I really wanted), and the man seemed willing to negotiate but the lady quickly butted in and came back at $78, only $3 more from her original offer. Honestly a huge waste of time, but I shouldn't have expected much more from bricks and Minifigs. Nice selection of figures and sets but everything is marked up like crazy. If you truly want to buy stuff at a reasonable price, I'd suggest the bricks and minifigs in Santa Clarita, though I wouldn't recommend selling to them either because they all lowball like crazy. read more

We have been to other Bricks and Minifigs and brought items to trade. When we got the quote for the trade price at this Pasadena store I was shocked. They offer way less than any other Bricks and Minifigs, which totally took the fun out of it. We don't always bring trades, but we will trek to the further stores in the further and avoid this one. We just enjoy the other stores more, but we do wish this new store good luck on their journey. read more
