There's no other way to say this... I know the statement is going to sound hyperbolic but I think this is the best pizza in Salt Lake City and there is some good pizza here! It's Detroit style so it's very deep dish but this is seriously stellar. It will surprise you. They make this one pizza that is outrageously beautiful with whole artichoke hearts. It's like they bring out a piece of artwork and sit it right in the middle of your table. You don't even want to touch it because it's so beautiful. Sadly, it's delicious enough that it must be devoured. Also, the BRICK WALL is an exceptional take on a traditional combo pizza with peppers, sausage, olives, pepperoni and all that good stuff. They make a barbecued pork pizza that's also excellent. Everybody here is super friendly and welcoming. It's one of the last real "pizza parlors". It hasn't been turned into a children's playground or theme park. You'd feel just as at home sitting here and drinking a beer or watching the game or playing pool or something... Friend recommended this place and was surprised that I've never came across it! For it being the first time here I had a great experience. Staff was on top of it and food was brought out quickly. Their pizza is Detroit style deep dish! It looks so good! I definitely want to come back to try it! I got their cracked tots and pepperoni briquettes. Drinks were good. I got a lime Ricky it was a little too sour for my liking but it wasn't bad. My friend had the mai tai and I like the flavors in that drink better. Only downside is their parking, they have a lot but you can't park unless you have a handicap pass. Otherwise all the other parking is for carry out. So you will have to part in the street or in the neighborhood. read more

I was on the look out for weeks on end for a Hawaiian style pizza--and finally landed at BC for lunch today. The ambiance of the place threw me back to the taverns of New Jersey and Pennsylvania famous for a very different style of pizza. We didn't order the Polynesian today instead something called THE BRICK HOUSE with a Caesar salad---a quite delicious rendition. Our server Jami was friendly and made a bit of easy going conversation, had a warm personality and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. I'm a California native so I grew up on hand-tossed crusts with sauce, cheese and lots of veggies, meats, and even seafood on top. Shrimp pizza anyone? But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the occasional deep dish! Deep dish done wrong is very bready with about the same amount of cheese and toppings as you'd get on a thinner pizza. I don't enjoy it, but people who like a lot of bread might. Deep dish done right is a little like eating two thin pizzas stacked together. Yes, a little more crust, but you're also getting substantially more cheese and toppings, and who doesn't love that? What a relief, Bricks Corner not only does deep dish right, but introduced me to something delicious that I haven't had before, Detroit, not Chicago, style deep dish pizza!! So what is Detroit-style pizza you might ask? I did exactly that to our server. I found out that it involves roasted toppings that are laid atop the cheese on the pizza. The cheese layer is substantial and it's all cooked in a high-sided, deep-dish steel pan until the cheese bubbles, caramelizes, and crisps around the edges. The dough has higher water content than most, so the crust becomes porous, chewy, and crispy underneath! Yum! So delicious! Interestingly, the Detroit-style pizza sloping, high-sided steel pans were originally used in car manufacturing plants to hold parts for assemblers. Now they make them to cook pizza! My Michigan-born wife gives it her seal of approval and we're headed back for more! Not bad guys, not bad! read more

All were super filling and packed with ingredients but I was hoping for a bit more flavor. Next time I come, I'd love to try one of their dessert pizzas and sit in on trivia night. Right off 700 E, Bricks doesn't have a lot of parking available but there is plenty of neighborhood parking. I've never had Detroit style pizza and so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's a different pizza experience but the pizza was good. I ordered the Sweet Salty Pig and The Importance of the Fried Cheese (mozzallera sticks). I will say, expect to eat some cheese. The bread is unique and fluffy on the inside with a very crunch on the outside. The service was fast and friendly. It's a small space but it feels really nicely spaced. I'm not sure if this is the greatest place to watch sports. For me, the TVs are pretty high, not big enough and the colors are a bit off. read more

Best Detroit style pizza I've had in Utah. They have some really unique pizza options and I'd recommend trying the Italian beef as it was a surprise favorite if you like that style of sandwich. Yes yes yes! This pizza place is serving delicious Detroit style pizza and loads of other tasty appetizers. We went at an off time and were greeted, seated, served, and waited on by the same person who was working every part of the service. Kudos to her. She was hustling and had a good attitude. Out came the apps. Wow those cracked tots are fantastic. The fried mushrooms and pickles were solid. They both came with the same dipping sauce which was pretty tasty as well. I'm not sure the exact name but it reminded me of a zesty ranch. The pizza was top notch. For the first time in my pizza eating life I had a new topping to me- salty crispy brussel sprouts. I loved it. As a side note, they offer a popular lunch special and the salad that came out next to us was HUGE. I would highly recommend this place. We've been here several times and always enjoy our visits. The product quality is stellar and we usually don't have any trouble getting a table although parking can be a bit of a challenge. On our most recent visit, a Sunday afternoon, we were seated immediately in a comfortable booth and our server, Jill promptly asked for drink orders. Bar service was pretty slow but to be fair, keeping staff seems to be an industry wide challenge as of late. Luckily, having to wait for drinks at Bricks is offset by the interesting selection of cocktails. Our favorite by far is the roasted jalapeño pineapple margarita. It isn't particularly spicy but the flavor is divine. Maybe the best margarita ever. Shout out to Tony, it's creator, who unfortunately doesn't work here anymore. We normally go for the more traditional pizza offerings which never disappoint but this time we ordered the special, Persian Pie. It was absolutely delicious and featured Persian spiced meatballs, kalamata olives roasted tomatoes and peppers, feta. So interesting and inventive. My only complaint being that there wasn't enough mast-o-khiar sauce on the side and there could have been a few more meatballs. Stopped in for dinner last week. What a great neighborhood establishment. We were quickly greeted and seated. It's a causal vibe with great energy. They were extremely busy and take out appeared to be just as busy. Our server was great. She was friendly and checked on us often. We shared a large Caesar Salad, which was fresh and a large portion. We ordered the Sweet Salty Pig pizza, which was really good. Lots of ingredients piled high and full of flavor. Overall, it was a good visit and made for a great date night. I came here to say with my daughter for a mommy daughter pizza date. We tried the pepperoni pizza and it was yummy. My pizza loving daughter could only eat 1 piece because the pizzas are Detroit style and super filling. Detroit style has the cheese and toppings on the pizza and then is topped with the sauce. The ambiance reminded me of a Harley Davidson or a bar. Maybe not super kid friendly but my daughter did get some things to color with which she loved. Our waiter was nice and helpful. We did go on a Thursday night and it was trivia night so it was a little loud but if I would have know I would have participated. The food is super great!! My favorite was the Brick house! We encounter a grumpy customer on our way in, so we were a little worried even though we had plenty of time to eat. Rachael quickly put us at ease and did a great job. Very customer friendly, made sure to visit us from time to time. The drinks, salads and pizza all can out well timed and sooner than we anticipated given it was a fairly active Sunday night. This is one of my FAVORITE pizza places by far. The pizzas were damn delicious. I normally don't care for Detroit style pizzas - and maybe because I hadn't found a great place until now, but this place is awesome. I've been here a couple times and have also done takeout. The crust has a nice crisp, and the cheese and sauce balance is perfect. The portions are big but the reheated leftovers were still tasty! Went here Friday 3/25/22 around 6pm. We came right on time where there was plenty of seating options because after 6:30 the restaurant was starting to pack. Parking is tricky as you have to park out on the street in a residential area and walk to the restaurant. It's a hipster vibe with tv around to catch some games going on. We were a group of 2 adults and 2 kids. We ordered the side portion size of the corner salad and really glad we got that because their regular size salad is massive. The side portion was plenty to share between me and my husband. Beautifully presented salad, fresh ingredients and great tasting vinaigrette. It also came with a side of toasted pizza crust that tasted great! There isn't a kids menu so we went and ordered the OG cheese pizza for all of us to share and it was plenty for the 4 of us. Kids got their slice, me and husband ate two slices each. It was my first time trying Detroit style pizza and absolutely loved it, the crust was crunchy and puffy, red sauce very delicious. We decided to order the cookie skillet for dessert. The cookie was a little burnt but kids enjoyed eating it with their ice cream. Great pizza place. Recommend and will be back! read more

My husband and I love Detroit-style pizza - a love that we recently found while living in Denver - so, when we stumbled upon Bricks while visiting friends in Salt Lake, we insisted on going! In all honesty, Bricks had a lot to live up to, as our favorite pizza place of all time serves Detroit-style pizza in Denver and has won so many awards. So we had very high expectations when we decided to go to Bricks. We arrived at around 9:00 PM on a Saturday night and were seated & served immediately. I ordered the Rosemary Gimlet on Rox - a refreshing, strong cocktail - and for food, we split mozzarella sticks (AKA the Importance of the Fried Cheese) among the table, and my husband and I split the Cheesy Mushroom Afgoo. The mozzarella sticks were divine - this is a must order as these were truly the best mozz sticks I've ever had! The pizza here is like nothing I've ever had. The actual crust looks crispy like Detroit-style pizza, but it's super light tasting - literally tastes like air! The toppings were amazing though - those mushrooms & cheese - yum! But unfortunately, it was not the Detroit-style pizza we were expecting. My husband and I love this spot! We live up the street and walk to dinner here probably once a week. The service is EXCELLENT, at this point the staff probably knows us! Tydo and someone whose name starts with a C (sorry i can't remember your name but you're awesome) who works mostly behind the bar are memorable and great servers. Who doesn't love some good pizza? Bricks is more of a pan pizza, lots of bread and cheese and while it's not my usual choice for pizza it's so so good! I went a cheese pizza, and ordered to go. It was very busy when I picked up. Parking can be a bit tricky and you may have to park back in the neighborhood and walk a bit but luckily if you have a take out they do have a couple spots for pick up right out front. The pizza box seemed on the smaller side but don't be fooled. You get 6 square pieces. I only managed to get through 2 pieces before calling it and saving the rest for left overs. Inside was busy, and there seemed to be a bit of a wait for a table on a Friday night. But I will say it would be worth it! Or you can always order ahead and take it home. The crust was really good (super crunchy and crispy on the outside) and I loved how they pile the fresh toppings high. I know, I know - who orders salad at a pizza place? But I loved my wedge salad with the balsamic drizzle so much that I'd totally order again. The location is tucked into the neighborhood and there are just a few spaces in their tiny parking lot. Leave a little extra time to find parking as you might need to walk a half block or so. Pretty good service and seems popular. Only thing I wish is that they stayed open later!
