With as many years as I have lived in the area this was my first visit. I enjoyed breakfast with a friend and had an enjoyable meal. This is a your straight forward breakfast and lunch diner type experience. Straight forward meals with very few frills. Eggs, omelets, Benedict's, pancakes , French toast with your typical sides. Small, quaint, the same vibe as having breakfast with your grandma. You definitely will be eating with atleast 5 of somebodies grandma or grandpa, since it's an incredibly laid back atmosphere that feels almost like a home. While the size of the restaurant is small, the portions are large and decadent. All of your favorite breakfast foods cooked right then and there for a very affordable price. The servers are incredibly kind and keep a nice balance between checking in on you and letting you enjoy your meal in peace. read more

Food is 9 times out of 10 great. Recently though, we've been really thinking of going elsewhere from now on due to the amount of flies all over the dining area and I would I my imagine the kitchen as well. I actually had a fly die in my coffee cup a few weeks ago. The waitress didn't even seem to care but did deliver me a new coffee. Service isn't the best, the seats are all torn and the place could use a really good cleaning. It's a shame though, because this place at one time was fantastic with much better service. If the food wasn't so good and affordable, I'd have stopped going a long time ago. PLEASE fix the unusual amount of flies you've got in your restaurant. This should be a health concern priority when it comes to the food I'm honestly surprised there aren't more reviews about this issues. read more

A go to breakfast spot for my family. You have to get there early, or it's always crowded. It's worth it though to get quality breakfast.

Not enough mask wearing in the kitchen. 3 employees were walking around without masks . BUT We have been meaning to try this restaurant for a while, breakfast restaurants are me and my family's favorites. Brick stones held up well. My Irish Benedict was good , had good flavor and was cooked well. My daughters and wife's pancakes were much firmer then they should have been instead of a airy fluffy consistency . We most likely won't be back but it was good . The manager or main waiter did bark at us in a yelling tone through the kitchen when we walked in which was really welcoming . I've heard so many good things about this place and we finally tried it. We got there around 11 and the line was out the door. So we're waiting... and waiting... and waiting. Come to find out the people in front of us waiting didn't watch for it to clear inside. ‍ So the staff noticed the line of people and had everyone come and and we sat quickly. So... make sure to check in especially if you're waiting outside. It's a small restaurant. Nothing fancy but it smelled great. Our waitress was quick to our table, quick to take orders, and the food came out fast and hot. I ordered the steak tips special for 9.95. You get two eggs, steak tips, home fries, and toast. Very yummy, steak was great. It is a marinated steak and has a bit of a sweet flavor, I wasn't expecting that but it was alright. My husband doesn't care for sweet so he wasn't as a big of a fan. He liked it enough to still go back and try other things though. All in all, for five people, our bill was $40. My kids were happy and full and it was just loud enough where my kids voices and sometimes loudness blended in with the sound of the restaurant. I do appreciate that when dining with kids. Haha We live pretty close so I can guarantee we'll be back and often. I'll update my review as we continue going. read more

This place has really gone down hill, last time we went it was just ok, not terrible, not great, this time it was just downright awful. I ordered eggs, home fries, sausage and toast, pretty simple order, right? The home fries were cold, not even slightly warm when they came out, the sausage was unlike any breakfast sausage I've ever seen, it was more of a bratwurst looking sausage. The service was great and went above and beyond for my daughter who is 19 months so they did well not to bring it too hot and added extra blueberries on the side which she loves blueberries! Ambiance is cozy and quaint. Feels like you're eating with family which for some may be uncomfortable but for me I enjoy it and like how friendly everyone is. 10/10 would recommend. For a small restaurant you'd think it would be jam packed with customers but they do a good job having the space to be able to get in and out without having to squeeze through which is another added plus!!! read more

Just came back from there. It was about 12:10. Place was full, but no one was waiting. Just my husband and I. We got quite a few of the staff look over at us while we stood there- but that was it. After waiting more than 10 minutes, not one of the staff even acknowledged us. No "we will be with you in a moment"...not one word. We left. I'm sorry, but just a few words and we would have waited. These guys nailed "basic diner breakfast". The menu has diner standards and little else, but what they do have they do well. Just don't go in expecting quiche and croissants! We arrived at 7 on a Saturday and things were still pretty quiet, but the tables were starting to fill up. I had a Denver Omelet and my wife had Blueberry pancakes. Side of bacon and side of sausage. Coffee was...well, hot and black. (I'm a coffee snob...) Even so, it complemented the meal. Service was speedy, the food was all quite good and portions were large enough we couldn't finish! This used to be hands down my favorite place in New Hampshire for breakfast. Unfortunately, after a handful of bad experiences and one final straw today, I will not ever be back. My mother and I walked in at around 10 AM this morning. The parking lot was less than half full. There were plenty of seats, but not a single table was clean. We gave up and sat at one that was covered in crumbs and ketchup... and proceeded to sit there being ignored for nearly half an hour. Servers breezed by without so much as acknowledging that we existed at least half a dozen times. People who came in 15 minutes after we did were being served food, and meanwhile no one had even come by to give us a menu or wipe our table clean. By the time we gave up and walked out, we still hadn't so much as been greeted by a single member of the staff. We drove across town to Friendly's instead, where we were greeted immediately, our order was taken within minutes, and less than ten minutes after that, we had our meals. This is not the first time I've had this experience at this location, but it is definitely the last. Even as a longtime customer, I can't justify or excuse this level of incompetence. read more

I was band from going back because my mother and I would request a specific waitress who is a family friend of 15 years which usually was not a problem, except when server Krista was working. Once her service was so horrible and her hair getting into food we asked she fix her hair and she refused, she got no tip and followed us out and said "thanks for the tip don't bother coming back" and few months later she was working And we were told we could not have our choice of waitress she complained to Hoe the owner we were very willing to move to the section we needed to be in to have the waitress we wanted but Krista was rude about it. As we moved tables I told her she did not need to be bitching about it. She told joe I called her a bitch and we were asked to leave and never go back. Last week I went to have breakfast for the first time because I was looking for a new place to eat. I ordered the big breakfast which was a great deal for what they had. I order my eggs over medium and the were over hard. When the waitress finally came to see how it was my food was cold and never once apologized for this happening but just said it must have been the new cook. I did tell her it was my first time eating there and said that it was not a good first impression. While sitting there you could here all the waitress were in the kitchen area complaining and using bad language. No one wants to hear your issues nor do they want this type of environment to eat in. Also the sugar was hard as a brick and the top of it had gross crust stuff all over it. This tells me that this place is not very clean. It will be awhile before if I return. read more

Essentially, a good place to walk in and seat yourself and have a decent breakfast. Nothing complicated, everything fairly priced. Small building, they must not have enough room for storage because they have crates of soda around the entrance. Some things like the table cloths are worn out, but that's a very minimal issue. The menu I had was in rough shape with rips and coffee stains. Again, just looked past this. First time I went it was crowded and busy; it wasn't until after 8 minutes of awkwardly blocking the entry/exit that a staff member told me and my party to go ahead in and choose a place. Second time I went it was quiet so finding a table was easy. One thing I find interesting is that they serve soda from bottles; probably due to an issue of not having room for a soda dispenser. The food was pretty tasty. I ordered the eggs benedict the first time and the eggs benedict with asparagus the second. Clearly it was yummy if I ordered it twice! :) Location is a 4 minute drive from my house so I will probably stop by more often now that I know of its location. read more
