To put it simply, this was a choice for breakfast knowing that we wouldn't need to wait. We arrived shortly before 10:30am. The feedback from other customers tells the story. I will say that our waitress, Liberty (Libby), added to my review to go from 2 stars to 3. She was upbeat & efficient. It did take longer for someone to come to our table than expected but she made up for it. Her smile & energy were up to par. See my photo for the Spicy Poblano Eggs Benedict - it came out looking gray & dead. It was burnt. I am not sure how they cook their eggs, but I figured over easy or sunny side up with a yolk running down. Was not the case. The English muffins were charcoal. I ate the home fries because they were edible. My mother enjoyed the pecan syrup but her pancakes were rubber. The servers are very pleasant, but I think that's as far as the consistency goes with this place. Been here 4 times and it's been hit or miss. Most of the time the service is incredibly slow. The food also varies in quality but most of the time I've eaten there it's been borderline undercooked (This time around, there was raw batter in the middle of my pancakes and my eggs were also pretty much raw although I asked for them over-hard) Take that as you will, but if I had any advice I'd just order a big breakfast from McDonalds and call it a day. read more

This location was a first time visit for my wife and I. She's a big fan of IHOP and looks forward to each time we are near one. In a nutshell, very well prepared food, presented well and hot. The staff was obviously short on coverage and experience. In spite of that everyone was very professional and tried very hard to be as quick and accommodating as they could. Stopped in around 8:30pm for dinner, there were a fair amount of people in the restaurant, we waited a few minutes to be seated while a waitress and the hostess finished their conversation. Our waitress seemed great at first, but once got our food, we never saw her until she brought the check over. I never got the extra toast I ordered and we were never asked about refills on our drinks. I think our waitress only had two other tables, so it wasn't like she was out of control busy with customers. We did see her buzzing around cleaning tables and refilling condiments on the tables but after trying to get her attention two or three times we just gave up. We hadn't been to an IHOP in years so decided to try this one. It was snowing so it was just opening when we arrived. As soon as I opened the door I knew it wasn't going to be a good review. There was trash in the alcove. The hostess/ waitress was very pleasant and showed us to a table. There was pieces of paper all over the floor through out the restaurant. Not sure if the vacuum is broke but a broom and dust pan work without electricity. The light fixtures have a layer of dust on them. The trash cans in the rest room were still full from the night before. I did see the dish washer washing the door to the kitchen area so at least some cleans here. As far as the food it was ok. I had the triple 2 but the pancakes tasted doughy but dry. My husband had the sampler and his eggs came out dirty. My eggs were clean but his should have been too. He did not like his pancakes either. If you wanted to change something in the order every thing is an up charge. Not sure if the lunch dinner time would be better. Right when my boyfriend and i walked in we were the second people in the whole restaurant at lunchtime. We got seated immediately and our drink orders immediately so i didn't even get to check the prices on what drink i was ordering so it ended up being a 6$ shake that had the currency of milk. We ended up finally ordering after 15 minutes of waiting siting in the empty room and then sat for another 20 waiting for the food. We then just decided to leave the food and pay for the drinks and the host asked why we were leaving and I said nicely that we just didn't have anymore time to wait and she said well then try mcdonald's. When we got in there was a wait we were told it would only be 20 mins. Well we waited over an hour just to be seated, when we asked why it was taking so long the host told us they were swamped half the dining room was empty and 3 tables weren't getting cleaned. Everyone working was in slow motion. Our drinks alone ( two chocolate milks and a water) took 5 mins to get to us. The manager had to come out and clean the tables herself half the staff was just sitting around. They only started seating people faster once people started complaining. Hair, hair, then some more hair. On first impression the interior looked clean we got seated right away only to find it probably would have been better not to have been seated at all. Waitress was unkempt and quite honestly sloppy. Took our drink orders my friend order OJ and I ordered the hot chocolate special only to find out special meant it came with black pubes, waitress was quick to take it back and get me a OJ which she charged us for. Upon further inspection there was more black hair found on the table. Paid the six bucks for 2 OJs and left without anymore hair infiltrating our systems, good riddance. read more

Came here this morning for breakfast. My boyfriend enjoyed his cinna swirl French toast, but he noted that it was very rich and didn't finish (which never happens!). My breakfast sampler was simply okay. The restaurant was quite busy, but our service was good. The main reason I'm giving 3 stars and not 4 was how dirty the restaurant was. The table next to us (along with many others) needed to be bussed. For the entire hour we were there, that table remained absolutely filthy. Beyond the numerous tables that needed to be bussed, our sugars on the table were wet-- to the point they weren't usable. And the salt top was clogged, so the salt wasn't usable. Perhaps the worst part of this dining experience, was the horrendous smell of wet dog-- a smell that persisted our entire meal. read more

We went in on a Thursday night, there was no one there to seat us. She finally came out of the back and seated us. When the waitress finally came over two of the drinks we wanted they were out of. We got our drinks and ordered our food which came out way longer than it should have taken, given the place was almost empty. The food came out and mine was cold. I had been to this IHOP when they first opened & had a bad experience. I thought if given some time they'd improve so I tried it again today. I was wrong. They've gotten worse. I went in the evening to grab a quick dinner. They were not busy, 6-8 tables with 3 servers. The server that sat me took my drink order. A few minutes later another came & took it again. Then after 5-10 minutes a third waitress asked if anyone had taken my drink order. I told her yes, twice, but I haven't gotten it. She took it a third time & then brought me the wrong drink. I have been here a few times and this was by far the worse. Ordered chicken tender( I know not a breakfast food) but got a single tender on four different plates and didn't receive the full six. A side of bacon was ordered for two of the five meals and a mere two pieces were given. Probably will just take myself and my family to the newington one and never come here again. We asked for a water and it came 15 minutes after the food came out. The pancake for the 5 year old looks like it was sitting in a window for an hour. Wasn't hot. Looked burnt. Etc. Skylar, the lady who sat us down was very unfriendly. She tossed silver ware down with knives in front of a two year old. I've drastically changed my mind about this location in the several times I've been there since it opened. The first time we went, my only complaint was that the servers were too attentive and overenthusiastic. Unfortunately, now they've gone too far the other way and it seems nobody here has a clue what's going on. After the experience I had on our visit earlier today, I will never be back. I ate here with my mother for breakfast this morning. She ordered the raspberry white chocolate pancakes and a side order of bacon. I ordered the New York cheesecake pancakes and a side order of bacon. We waited over half an hour... for pancakes and bacon. When they arrived, the bacon was stone cold. My order contained four pieces, hers had two. My mother had asked for the short stack of pancakes and was given a full stack. My pancakes were supposed to contain cheesecake pieces and be topped with strawberries. What I received was a stack of plain pancakes with a sad handful of mushy strawberries on top and drowned in about half a gallon of sugary sweet cream cheese icing. No cheesecake bites in the pancakes or anywhere in sight. It was so overly sweet it was nearly inedible. No discount was offered when my mother pointed out that her order was wrong and she was given a full stack. When our check arrived, the bill seemed exorbitantly high, so we asked to see the itemized bill again. We had been charged for a third full stack of pancakes and the server barely offered an apology. After this experience, I will not EVER return to this location. This was the final strike. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I am only giving 1 star because the other guests were entertaining to commiserate with. There were only two servers in the restaurant and I saw no sign of a manager. The one waitress that sat us was actually halfway decent, she smiled a bit. The other waitress took about 10 minutes to even get to us and when she did she didnt look at us or greet us. She just asked us what we wanted to eat. We told her immediately our entire order out of fear that we may never see her again for a long while. Twenty five minutes passed and our drinks (two sprites and 2 waters) still hadn't arrived. Service is usually pretty slow here. Once before was when it wasn't even busy. Had to send back a plate of eggs before due to them not being anywhere near cooked but our waitress was nice about it. It's usually hit or miss with this location but when you get good service, the dining experience is nice. I really go for my kids more than myself. read more
