The Spinach/Artichoke Dip and Prime Meatloaf is beyond wonderful. The atmosphere and service are great, too.

We ate at BrickTop's during our vacation to Sandestin, and it was absolutely amazing! The restaurant has a very nice, upscale vibe on the inside that felt perfect for a special dinner out. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip, which was extremely great. For a drink, I ordered the prickly pear margarita--it was amazing, perfectly sweet, and came with a salted rim. It was a bit too much salt for my liking but that did not take away from me enjoying my drink! For our main courses, my husband and I both ordered the house-made meatloaf. It was incredibly flavorful, perfectly portioned, and came with a side of delicious mashed potatoes and 2 crispy onion rings. My daughter ordered the steak frites, which was cooked to perfection and served with fantastic french fries. Everything we ate was delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was top-notch. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Sandestin! Very disappointing, below average Mother's Day brunch experience for my family. We waited for 20 minutes before being asked for our drink/food order. When I asked our server about the food he was unfamiliar with the menu. He was also inattentive after the meal was delivered. The food was just as disappointing and well below average for the prices charged. The chicken tasted refrigerated and lacked flavor. Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. Hopefully BrickTops management team can fix this so future customers have a better experience. read more

Someone posted it was dress up but it was crawling with beach attire! We wanted a more dressy place for our 25th Anniversary and was tricked into this place by some very wrong post! The oysters on the half shell were so tiny they were more like the size of clams, the prime rib only came with a baked potato that was cold & no salad & no bread! Everything was extra & costly! Even the bread pudding was bland & dry no bourbon or rum sauce at all! We asked to be seated in a quiet area but then they placed a huge loud party right next to us when the large dining room was empty with plenty of other tables! Amazing food, excellent service. We have been several times and every dish has been excellent. Items we have tried ALL so yummy. Apps: Shrimp, Deviled Eggs, Artichoke, All salads are good. I went to this restaurant-Brick-tops about a year ago and it used to be very good. Food and drink, service. I was there for Mother's Day dinner last night. I had crab butter sushi that was on the Mother's Day special menu. It was just so terrible. I couldn't believe how bad. Waiter said "they say our sushi is best in town". To me it was the worst thing ever had. You can't even call it a sushi. $24 a little sushi. Nothing but imitation crab with over watered rice. They were not even sushi rice. They shouldn't try making sushi when they don't know what is sushi. It was just a worthless piece of a plate. I asked the waiter if they are real crabmeat. I knew they're not. But the waiter said they are real. I don't know if I ordered the worst thing on a menu but they use imitation crab and calling them real crab, I don't trust anything else on the menu. Then I ordered a key lime pie. I remember how good it was then. But last night's pie was completely different from the last time and that was the worst key lime pie. Horrible look on a plate, no decoration or anything, it was not even sliced clean. Tasted like overpowered key lime. We couldn't even finish half of it. We love Bricktop's but it is difficult to believe that the ahi tuna tartar is no longer on menu apparently because it is labor intensive. With a popular dish, restaurant should find a way to keep it on menu, especially at a fine dining restaurant. Bartender, Shane, provides great, fine dining service and is amazing at recommending dishes and cocktails. To me not 5 star due to food runner not reviewing dish for presentation. I usually order the sprouts but was delivered totally burnt brussel sprouts. When presented to the table, everyone was shocked except the food runner who looked at me as if I had a problem. We came based on a recommendation from a local we met while playing golf. It is a cool vibe which can be considered a dress up place or casual. They have a great bar inside and outside, both could be considered intimate. Everyone was very friendly and our waitress was so sweet. Food was good but it's not somewhere where I would be dying to come back to necessarily. We got some spinach dip for an app which was great. I got the chicken Milanese that came with alfredo, which was good but like I said it wasn't anything I would be dying to come back to but I would come back. First time there for lunch We were not disappointed I had sushi "Hollywood " roll. It was very good & presentation was also very nice. Husband had ahi tuna poke bowl, he said was very good but maybe a bit more dressing on the side. Other friend had salmon spinach salad, his was also very good. As a local, I had high hopes for this place. The service here was great from the moment we walked in. The menu is pretty diverse and the wait staff seemed knowledgeable. Our challenges when we went were two fold, and had to do with the menu items we selected. 3 out of the 4 of us were not thrilled with our dishes (the fourth only had a wedge salad). Two of us each had a slab of BBQ ribs - the flavor was ok and the meat did fall off the bone, but it was dry as if it was sitting under a heat lamp for a while. One of us ordered the chicken piccata, which came with fettuccine Alfredo - the portion was very small for the price (pasta especially, about the size of the palm of my hand), and the chicken was cold when it was served to our table. The pasta was very good though. When we mentioned the cold chicken to the waiter, we weren't really offered a solution until he came back later and we pressed further. Our waiter was very nice though, and gave us a replacement (which was warm and tasted very good). I probably would not be thrilled about returning to spend ~$200 on a meal for 4 people. read more

When we were in Sandestin last year BrickTops was just breaking ground, so we were glad to have dinner there last night. During the busy season I would highly suggest making a reservation on OpenTable. If you have a group of friends this would be a nice place to celebrate a birthday , baby shower, etc. I split a Cesar Salad with a friend and if you like dressing you get a lot on it. Next time we go will definitely try their Lobster Bisque. For dinner I had the Ahi Tuna and it comes with S Fried vegetables. The meal was the perfect size and I didn't leave hungry. My friends had the catch of the day and they both liked it. Service was good. My friend ordered an Espresso Martini and she let her know theirs are espresso forward and not creamy. If you want it creamy they can do that. She tried both creamy and not and liked both of them. They have an outdoor patio with tv screens. Definitely looks like a great place to have a drink at bar if you want a more casual vibe. We saw people in jeans and hats to shorts and polos. Will definitely be back. read more

BrickTop is all class. A great place to celebrate a special occasion with your favorite people or person. The space is beautiful and charming. The service was friendly and attentive. Of course, the food steals the show. We started with the tasty spinach-artichoke dip - yum, yum, yum! I had the blackened chicken fettuccine alfredo special, which was good. Although, my friend's chicken piccata and my husband's pork chop was even better. The dish of the evening was the toasted English gingerbread. I've dined inside at BrickTop's many times and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. However, during my lunch visit today this was the first time I experienced an issue with small gnats flying into our food and even landing in our iced tea glasses while we were seated inside. When I mentioned it to our server, I was told that the doors open frequently and 'this is Florida,' so bugs sometimes get in. While I understand that insects can be common in Florida, having them consistently landing in our food and drinks inside the dining room made the experience unpleasant. I'm sharing this because I've had good experiences here before and hope the restaurant can find a way to manage the issue so indoor diners can enjoy their meals without that distraction. read more

I have been to Bricktop's before, the end of last year and it was great. I went again on Monday night 5/11 with a large group of 14, so they sat us at 2 separate tables which makes sense and was not an issue. Our server had an attitude from the start (won't name him here). I have worked in customer and client facing roles my whole life (including restaurant) so am empathetic to the stress and grind that goes along with that. I have empathy and try to show some grace because maybe someone is just having a bad day but I am not the only one in our group that noticed it. He was condescending and rude. We just tried to accept it for what it was and enjoy the evening but when we tried to explain that the food was so salty it was not really edible he didn't care. It started with my friend who ordered salmon and broccoli... too much salt has a bad affect on her so she ended up trying to scrape off what she could but ended up eating her friends french fries that barely had any salt (go figure). My other friend and I ordered/split the chicken with capers and fettuccine and ran into the same issue... so much salt we each only had a few bites. When mentioned to the server for both entrees he didn't care. His only response was... "well maybe you should have ordered your entree without capers because they are salty". I told him that I LOVE capers and one of the reasons I ordered the entree but that didn't explain the saltiness of the chicken and fettuccine. It didn't matter he just walked away. We weren't expecting anything for free but just an acknowledgement or indication that he would share with the kitchen for future guests. I typically tip 25 to 30% for good to great service... even though I an currently unemployed due to a layoff. I rarely if ever have tipped less than 15% when that was the standard back in the day, but he was lucky that he got a set 18% gratuity because of the size of our group. read more
