I will def not be visiting this location anymore. The server attitude was very dry ( seems like she didn't want to be at work), she barely listened to our order as we were placing it. I ordered for myself a simple burger. Meat and cheese only, well done. I should have known it was going to be an issue when she didn't understand what well done meant. When the order came out, there was lettuce, onions and sauce on the burger. I sent the burger back just for them to remove the toppings and return the burger where you can see where the sauce was wiped off and the cheese still had the onion marks. Sent back once again (after speaking to another waiter) because there was sauce on the burger just to be brought back a third with another piece of cheese on top the old cheese and when flipping the burger, you can see the same sauce where they attempted to wipe it off again. The original waiter came by and her exact words "you okay?" As she kept walking. Upon being turned off and wanting to leave I asked for a manager. A lady came out who brought my drink out and said she was the manager who claimed the lady who took the order said that was not ordered at first (which is the only way I eat my burgers) and thought "a medium cheese" was what was ordered. We were not checked on not one time while being here until something was wrong a second time. Def won't be coming back to this location. And let me not forget to mention there was no menu given for my toddler that was with us and then I had to ask for a coloring sheets. Back in my day the service used to be great at restaurants, but after this meal in disgusted. My food came out so late my son started eating the cheese in "hoodie" and drinking his own pee. Dined at Fatboys last night started off with the Mac n Cheese Bites and onion strings. The Mac n cheese bites were so good. Crispy on the outside and warm and gooey on the inside. Pair it with their fat boy sauce takes it up a notch. Even if you eat them plain there still just as good. The onion strings to me were only ok. They were over seasoned , but my friends enjoyed them. For dinner I had the 10 boneless wings. 5 in the garlic Parmesan and 5 in the Nashville hot. I liked the garlic Parmesan ones over the Nashville hot. First bite into the sandwich was horrible, the bun was dry and lackluster, the fish was over seasoned but perfectly cooked. What's funny is I ordered a al a carte piece of cod at the same time as ordering and it was fresher than the sandwich itself, explains that our food had been sitting... My family and I had dinner here last night as our first night in town, we came here because the wait for other restaurants was over an hour, and we ended up waiting for our food for an hour, the food overall was pretty good all though I wouldn't recommend the birria tacos because the flavor wasn't there. The waitress made this experience extremely uncomfortable not attending to use as much as we needed, we got refills before we got food, we had to wait a while for to-go boxes and she gave us the wrong bill after explaining in detail that she could only split two bills and didn't want to mix them up so she was very precise with taking orders.....she still mixed up the bills which was only a $6 difference (she took so long to come back) we just paid and left. This was my first time at a Fat Boys. I may come back to drink and snack but I probably won't bring the family. The food was mediocre. It was served hot, but we were the only people in the restaurant so I would have been surprised if it wasn't. We had the Philly Cheesesteak Eggrolls and pulled pork slider with Mac n cheese. If you like Mac n cheese you won't be disappointed. It was pretty good. The pulled pork was a sweet for my taste but Philly cheese steak egg rolls were served with nacho cheese sauce like you get at the fair or a baseball game from the push down dispenser. The burgers and fries are amazing! We went on a Thursday evening about 7pm. They seemed short staffed but kept seating people. We ran out of drinks before the food came and asked for refills, three times, we did not get them until we were paying. We asked for a box to take part of a burger to go, my son ended up finishing it while waiting. Sidewinder Fries: I have had fries like these before and they were not as good as the ones at Fatboys. These had the right about of crispness while still maintaining a fluffy inside. They were seasoned nicely. Blue Island Tea: Not a bad cocktail. It had a good blend of sweetness. It was a a fine fruity drink. Between the cost of the restaurant and the hickup in service I could not rate Fatboys any higher. I think the food is ok, but would not wait in line for it. In the busy season Destin is always packed with peaple and finding a resturant that is not $20 a plate can be hard. Mood: late night food Omgggggg! The Philly cheesesteak is 10/10 delicious. I would and will order over and over again for a cheat day meal. It had the right amount of mushrooms, onions, meat& cheese. Not sure what kind of fish it was but it was not grouper. Didn't taste bad but some know grouper while others might not and assumed they are eating grouper. Solid hamburger and wonderful service. Next time I think I will add a little more pizzazz to my hamburger as I pretty much got a basic one. I did ask that they add avocado to it, but the avocado was pretty ripe soft avocado always makes things a little better. I didn't care very much for the way. The fries came out. When I told my husband the name of the restaurant he goes this is probably gonna be good. The location is in a strip mall with plenty of parking. I loved the front door. One of the reasons we choose this place was good the gluten free bun option. My husband ordered the original on the gluten free and I ordered the sunrise on the gluten free bun. I will say their gluten free bun was pretty good. My fried egg was a little over cooked as I like it more runny. Our waitress was pulled in a few directions so our service was sporadic but the food was good. Omg I absolutely love this place!!!! We ordered via door dash since we had spent all day at the beach. Our order was delivered about 40 minutes after being placed which was fairly fast. I ordered the mango habanero wings that were SOOO GOOD! They were hot but not too hot. My husband got the grilled chicken sandwich which was also just as tasty.
