Listen!!! I live in Atlanta, and every time we visit 30A, this spot is an absolute MUST. The name might make you hesitate, but trust me--the seafood is SOOO good!!! The boils are incredibly flavorful and never disappoint. Now I will say, I can get two clusters of crab legs in Atlanta for cheaper--but the flavor here makes it worth it. We had a party of ten, and everyone loved their food... except for the smash burgers. A few of the guys ordered those and weren't impressed. But the Philly cheesesteak? Huge and delicious! And the shrimp and crab boils were perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor--I added sausage to mine, and it was a great choice. Our waitress was amazing--we actually had her last summer too! She has the sweetest Southern spirit, and I just adore her. She handled our party of ten effortlessly. We'll definitely be back... but that's no surprise--we come every year! read more

Outcast Bar at Grill has a similar menu to Outcast Seafood. They have a smaller number of seafood items, but offer the staples (Fried Shrimp, Grouper, Catfish Baskets, and Shrimp or Crab boils). They also offer 'traditional' grill food here such as burgers, etc. We ordered a Shrimp Boil and Grouper Basket. Overall, the food was good. They were out of Calamari for the day, which is a starter they offer. They seemed to be limited on how much grouper they had available but had enough for us to eat. There wasn't a wait time for us (a group of 7) and we went at 5:15. They seemed to get busier closer to 6:00. Inside, the setting is darker and a little cramped. Waited a while for a table because 2/3 fryers were down. Would have preferred to wait inside at a table and at least be served drinks while we waited so for that reason I gave it a 4/5. It wasn't really busy inside, it a typical bar atmosphere -loud and lovely! The seafood boils were great, great flavor!!! it does come with one corn and one potato I feel like it should come with sausage for the price that they charge instead of you having to pay for all the extras. My husband had a wrap and said it was one of the best wraps he had and he really enjoyed their local beer that they make for them. He said it was better than corona! After reading the reviews, we decided we had to try this place out. It's located in a small shopping center and looks like a place that may attract more locals than tourists. Menu is mainly bar food with a twist. We had the smash burger, pretzel bites and a grouper basket. The smash burger was very good with 2 patties on a toasted Hawaiian roll. My SIL said that the grouper excellent and very fresh. He also tried one of the local beers which he enjoyed. Our server was very friendly and made us feel like one of the regulars! Service was out of this world! Made it worthwhile all on its own. The jalapeño poppers are a must, and the chicharrones were pretty damn tasty. Had a watermelon cocktail that I enjoyed so much that I drank 3 of them. Kind of a dive bar feel to it, even though it is in a strip mall. Felt family friendly too. Everyone that walked in was sat quickly and taken care of. These guys are efficient as hell. Only thing that made us sad was that they were out of crab legs. Fried shrimp that are seasoned perfectly, crispy and delicious! I upgraded from fries to sweet potato tater tots, 10/10. The cocktail sauce that comes with the basket is very horseradish forward so it definitely clears your sinuses with the first taste the servers work as a team so everyone is assisting you at once. There's a long and popular bar here, tvs and the staff is friendly and hard working. You can smell the fryer from the parking lot. The variety of steamed seafood pictured on their online menu was reduced to two offerings on our visit: a shrimp boil or $59 for two snow crab clusters. Went with the local grouper entree - herbed rice was perfect. Grouper was blackened nicely if slightly chewy/dry. Couldn't taste the lobster in the lobster cream sauce. Friend had the Caesar with grilled shrimp, which were large but didn't seem fresh which would be nice being we're on the gulf. Seating was scarce on a Monday night, so come early. read more

After 45min and still not receiving our food we had to get up and get back to the kids. At one point our server said it would be right out, and yet never appeared. A pleasant surprise! I'll admit I was skeptical as I walked in AND I like this place. Really good food and nice servers that know the menu. We go off to a slow start with service, but once they got to us they were great. We had multiple servers checking on us and all were super polite. The food comes out as it is ready vs. for the entire table so that's a bit odd to me, but not offensive. We started the mozz sticks which were solid. Kept going with the outcast double smash, such a good burger. Loved the bun, the sauce, all of it. It is not a smash burger. It's just a double patty burger so don't look for the crispy edges you may be craving. Grouper sandwich was also very good and the 3 piece chicken tenders. The tenders were quite tasty, but a little on the small side. Sweet potato tots are so good definitely worth a get. Finally - cool place, a bit "divey" in the best way...little on the loud side. I asked if they would please turn it down and the lady waitress was so rude - said she couldn't turn it any lower - not true. She didn't offer to change the music or anything. My family and I stopped by Outcast for dinner and overall we had a pretty good experience. I ordered the crab boil and it was delicious but it came out 30 minutes after everyone had finished their food! All of our entrees came out separately which was fine with us because that meant our food would be fresh. But it was a bummer to sit and watch everyone finish their food and still not have yours. I had the house Mexican lager and it was great! The wings were crispy and the chicken sandwich was huge! Found this on Yelp and saw the great reviews so we tried it. It did not disappoint. We wanted to watch a game and the place is full of tv's. Want a game on a particular tv? They will change it, no problem. As recommended, we got the wings and they were great. I also always get a tuna dip if it's on the menu. This one was great, served with old bay crackers and topped with jalapeños. It was also a large portion. The servers were so friendly and truly care and want to do a good job. Our first trip to Outcast and it won't be the last. If you aren't a "bar person" (we aren't), no worries! The staff here are super welcoming, friendly and attentive and the food was GREAT! We sat on the large outdoor patio (with our dog - big plus for us!) and had the jalapeno poppers (SO good) and the Blackened Bleu Salad (Huge salad, full of strawberries, blueberries, walnuts, blue cheese crumbles - comes with homemade (SO good!) raspberry vinaigrette (a bar & grill that makes their own dressings & sauces?! What?!). The wait staff was extremely nice & attentive (brought our dog a water bowl without us even having to ask!) - we will definitely be back. Our only suggestion (and it isn't major!) would be to put some pull down shades up so more of the patio is out of the full sun. Really great experience - highly recommend! read more

First of all, walking through the doors of Outcast is like walking through the "Cheers " bar and being Norm, and everyone knows your name!! This is totally a local bar and it's amazing! We were welcomed by Kit, and it felt like home! She guided us through the menu, and what an awesome experience! We started with calamari, and what an incredible dish! The garlic aioli was nothing short of amazing! They make all their own sauces, and they are so incredibly delicious! With the expertise of Kit, we ordered the Black and Blue Burger and it is was a taste bud explosion! We cannot wait to come back and enjoy more of this delicious piece of heaven. There were already open tables set for parties of 7 and the lady said they wouldn't be able to add a high chair. After giving multiple options to the lady and hearing all of her excuses it was clear she didn't want our kind there, so we left. We also saw another party of black people go in and ask for a table and get turned away as well. What a disgrace. We absolutely love the food at Outcast Bar & Grill Santa Rosa Beach & were regular customers with a group of friends several times a week since they opened, but will NOT be going back. They now have horrible loud music that they refuse to turn down at all. It is impossible to have a conversation with anyone at your table & the wait staff say they will be fired if they touch the volume. Everyone in our group has complained, but management doesn't care about their regular customers. SO SAD TO SAY I DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more
