Right off the bat we walked in and saw a sign that due to a staffing shortage wait times may be longer...we were in no hurry so decided to stay. The food was ok, nothing to write home about...no special flavor you couldn't get at a chain like Applebees or Chilis. What blew us away was the fact that we had to go searching for our waiter every time we needed something, it wasn't lack of staff or too busy it was they all hang out in the back. It looks like my kind of place. A craft beer bar and grill. Ideal for a meal and a beer. However, looks can be deceiving. In the middle of the day when they were not busy was my time to visit with my sons after touring Fort Smith National Park Site. We always sit and eat at the bar everywhere we go and my boys have done so their entire lives. Well at Bricktown Vadonna the bartender seemed uncomfortable with us sitting there, but took our orders and served us. No one else anywhere near us. While eating she panics and tells us to hurry because her boss has arrived and she will get in trouble with us sitting there. My boys got up and moved to a table while I sat at the bar observing. I did not like it. I would describe their house brewed beers as terrible. I ordered a Kolsch which normally is perfect for a hot summer day. It was below average and while drinking it I learned it was only 4%. Vadonna poured it in a type of mug that no other craft beer establishment would serve a Kolsch in as well. I sampled a couple other house brews and thought they were are lacking. That was about the time we started get rushed to pay and vacate the bar. I would give the establishment one star except my boys told me their food was good. read more

It was one of the few non-chain restaurants open on the holiday so we stopped in for a late dinner. Boy, are we glad that it was. Our food was amazing. I had the fried chicken and, while surprised that it was a cutlet, it was delicious. The mashed potatoes were divine. Even the string beans were tasty. My dining companion enjoyed the bison burger and thought the max & cheese excellent. What a great find! The atmosphere is really great. The beer is even better. We tried the pork fries, they were delicious and definitely enough to share. The guy sitting next to us at the bar had a pizza and it looked super tasty. The dough, I believe is homemade. Will try that on our next visit. We stopped at the Bricktown Brewery for dinner one night while we were on a road trip. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and service. I said several times that I wish this restaurant was close to our house because we'd go all the time. My boyfriend had the rustic pepperoni pizza which he liked, and I had the Big Mike's Meatloaf. It was awesome!! Possibly the best meatloaf I've ever had! If you'd like to ask for a great server, ask for Erica. She took great care of us and was happy, cheerful and funny. I've been here a few times now and have had good experiences. The first time was to have catch up drinks with friends over the holidays. The second time was for dinner. The beer selection is quite vast with over 50 to choose from on the back of growlers you'll find on the table. With our first group, our waitress came around periodically and check in on us and our drinks. She was kind and split all of our bills up with no issues. When I came for dinner, we needed to wait a few minutes for them to prep our table so we grabbed a drink at the bar. We liked how the bartenders asked us for our names and wrote them down on a little white board to remember. Before we could finish our drinks, BB texted us that our table was ready! We ordered the Bricktown Chips which are crinkle cut chips topped with Gorgonzola cheese and bacon and the kitchen sink burger. I asked for the ham and onions on the side. My burger was massive when it came out with the bacon, tomato, lettuce, and cheddar cheese so I can't imagine if those two items were added to it as well! The burger was super tasty and I asked them for a medium burger so it was still juicy which I like. They have this sriracha BBQ sauce that I am a big fan of. Our waitress checked on us quite often and made sure we were having a good meal. She was very helpful when we asked for recommendations as well. They have booths, high tops, tables for 4 or tables for 8. I think this is a great place to take a date, go out with friends, or just grab a beer. read more

I was excited to see this place while driving through the small town of Fort Smith Arkansas. Or, maybe it was more about crossing the river and getting the F--- out of Oklahoma. The Brew Pub appears to be in an old bank building on the a main street, conveniently located within walking distance of the historic fort. The restaurant has an amazing setup and decor. Exposed brick and open spaces get me every time. There is seating both inside and out. The outside section is a partitioned off courtyard. The beer was really good but I would have liked more of a selection. Food was typical pub fair and fine. Service was a little slow, but the place was busy for a weekday lunch. This was a detour stop on our way back to Houston from Missouri. We went through all the small towns before getting to Ft. Smith. It wasn't really big like an ordinary brewery would be, but it was a nice place to stop and eat for a while. Many people come here for their lunch, but it wasn't so busy when we went. You can bring your dogs on the patio, as long as they stay outside. This was a really dog friendly patio place, and sometimes you'll see some pups out there. We were waited on by our waitress frequently, and she never ignored us. What made me happy was we were the only ones at that time for lunch. We sat outside, even though they do have inside seating. I had a burger that is apparently their signature item on the menu. It tasted better than some of the others I've had elsewhere. It came with some fried potatoes. Of course, there are other things such as drinks, which is what they're known for. My friend had a dark home brewed beer, which she claims was delicious. Go here for some good food, and a dog friendly patio. Free parking is located right next to the brewery. I recommend it if you're passing through. read more

Best veggie burger ever! Or so says my vegetarian friend. We actually made a detour to this establishment on our way home from Missouri to Texas so my buddy could get the veggie burger. So it MUST be the best ever. They have a dog friendly patio. Huge servings. Great dark home brewed beer. Affable and competent servers. We sat on the patio with my dog and were never ignored by the waitress even though we were the only folks out there for lunch. Nice free parking between the restaurant and the fort. In fact you could walk from the fort to the place for a bite. As brewpubs go this place has some of the BEST food. read more

I travel to Ft. Smith every now and then and have now been here twice...not disappointed yet. First trip, I had the Bleu cheese burger and my co-worker had a salad with fried chicken (not sure the name of it but she didn't see it on the menu this time). Today I had the truck burger (bacon mixed with ground beef...wonderful!) and my co-worker had the breakfast burger (burger with fried egg, bacon and hash browns on top)... Mine was great and she said her's was pretty awesome too. Both trips, the food was pretty fabulous. Love their fries: they're sort of thin and shoe-stringish but not crunchy....very salty. The menu had some pretty cool items that I wish I would've been hungry enough to try (bacon on a stick...cheese curds...apple crisp lie)...but it was lunch and I couldn't even finish my whole burger and fries. Their drink menu was pretty exciting looking too... But I was on a work lunch so.... Atmosphere and decor was trendy and fun. Prices were decent (my truck burger meal was $13). I had the trucker burger, which is a 50/50 beef/bacon blend, but it was so dry it seems like they pre-cooked the bacon before mixing it with the ground beef. I did not enjoy the burger. The sweet potato fries were pretty good. I had the Bricktown Brown ale, which was so-so. I have to compare this burger to Slater's 50/50 in Pasadena, California, which is 1500 miles away but its the only other place I've had a 50/50 bacon/beef burger and it was about 100x better than Bricktown. You can't even compare them, really. read more

Cheese Curds, enough said! Generous food portions, presentation is nice and food was on point! We stopped by our way in from out of state on a whim and was blown away by the food - So much so that on our way back out of the state a week later, all 5 of us in my family suggested we revisit. This place also has a cool atmosphere and friendly staff. Husband had chicken tenders that were huge, kids had burgers and tots and I chose the Cobb salad on 1 visit and pizza on the next.
