Newmark Grubb Acres

Newmark Grubb Acres

We recently signed a commercial lease brokered through Newmark Grubb Levy Strange Beffort with Jim…read moreRose. While working out the details of the lease we expressly stated what our intended start date was because we didn't want to overlap rents. Mr. Rose stated he understood that and it would be the date we asked for. Unfortunately Mr. Rose did not include that in the contract. So our lease started before we asked and we had to double up rent. Costing us an extra $1,600. He took advantage of our naivety so that he could close the deal and had no regard for our wishes or well being. Only of his and his client's. When trying to remedy the situation, I called Mr. Rose asking for an explanation and he feigned ignorance of the entire matter completely. I requested a copy of the original draft of the lease, he promised to get that over to me. That was four weeks ago and I have received nothing. If you work with this company please avoid going through Mr. Rose if possible and be advised that he is not listening or caring about your interests. Only his. I would also be cautious working with this company in general if they allow their brokers to conduct business in this manner.

I moved into Avia fairly recently (past two months), and I like living at Avia. The rent is quite…read morehigh but what places aren't expensive to rent. Avia has gym and a lot of other features to the apartment complex. The leasing office people were easy to deal with, especially moving from out of state. The only few things I have noticed were that the facility (common areas) are clean but aren't great, the bathrooms are clean but the trash gets piled up next to the elevators and door because people take their own trash and put it there, but it sits there for a day or two with out being picked up. The stair wells I've noticed are not getting cleaned. People must hang out in the stair wells because there is pizza and cans in the stairway and also someone's clothes just thrown on the floor. The hall ways for the units I think get vacuumed once a week but honestly it should get vacuumed more often. I use the gym frequently and the equipment you can tell at the bases (bottom of the machines) are not wiped down, there is so much dust dirt and grime collected with equipment. It's a bummer they don't actually wipe down the equipment the windows additionally are fairly dirty and the doors are all glass. . It's a pretty apartment and centrally located near smiths and trader Joe's. I personally was a condo manager in VA, and from the TKE (elevator company) there are some obvious issues for the fact that the elevators are always squeaking, I have worked with TKE with my own job, and either the elevator techs are not actually doing preventative maintenance on them as they should or the elevator needs to be looked at more closely. I don't think they are unsafe it's just not normal to have a building be build from 2020 and the elevators should be making so much noise. Over all though, I do like living here and if those couple of things were worked on it would be an excellent place to live

I used to be a tenant at Library Square till I moved to Seattle. Was really impressed with their…read moreprofessional appearance and passion in helping tenants. There are few things that's important to me while choosing my ideal apartment. Staff: Even though most of the time people don't need to deal with the leasing off staff besides paying the rent or getting their packages. But Issa and Lani are more than just the leasing office staff, they know which room that you live in, and they welcome you like how your family would do when you get back home. Most importantly I felt free to address any issue or problem I might have, and they are proactive so you don't need to keep following up with them. Cleanliness: Whether the apartment is clean or not is a big thing for me too. Especially the common area and the grass area. Grass is the easy spot to tell whether the apartment staff pay enough attention to keep it clean, especially for apartments that allow dogs. Well it should not be that way, but some dog parents just don't pick up their puppies poop. They always keep the grass clean, and if there's something messy or anything smells bad, they would clean it right away. I know that Traci works really hard to keep everything clean and she does check the building everyday to make sure everything is good. I was also impressed with how quick they are to get the work order done so that I don't have to wait. Last but not the least, if you don't know there are many people got their car broken into in this area. Some apartment might have cameras, but they don't really work sometimes, since most of the time people don't really check that while looking for an apartment. Season by far has the best security and access control that I know in town. All their cameras work. You get what you pay especially for a safe and comfortable place that you can call home. I cannot wait to move back to the seasons next week.

He said the gal will be right with me. The lady in the office was on the phone and didn't even acknowledge I was there. I sat there for about 5 minutes and still no help from her. I was listening in on her phone call and it was all personal. Nothing about business. So I left. The maintenance man asked what is wrong and tried to get me back in. I told him it seemed like her personal call was more important than leasing an apartment to me. I won't recommend this place. I went out of my way and wasted my time to be ignored. I recommend seeing Jordan at the Southpoint location. Very courteous, acknowledged me and helped me right away. Go see Jordan.
