As we looked at the state of the plumbing around my house, I confirmed my suspicions that my plumbing was in pretty bad shape and I opted to get a full re-piping job done, instead of an expensive band-aid repair. The very next day, they ripped out my old pipes and installed new PEX pipes with copper valves. The before and after is incredible. So this review is a little bit late...OK, maybe it's a lot late, but I'm doing it anyway because he deserves it. A few weeks back I needed a toilet replacement. I submitted my request on YELP and allowed them to do the work for me in identifying different companies. Luckily YELP made smart suggestions because I found Brian. He was prompt, professional, clean, offered the best price and was very knowledgeable. He explained everything and even offered to show me the completed work and explained why additional work needed to be done. He had to leave to purchase additional parts for my poor old toilet but returned quickly to finish the job. He even accommodated my later scheduling needs. I decided to give the thumbtack app a try & that was a huge mistake! (**IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ THE WHOLE REVIEW JUST SKIP TO THE LAST 2 PARAGRAPHS**) When using thumbtack, I had booked three appointments with three different companies. One company was a no show & the other two canceled at the last minute. I so not recommend the thumbtack app for service providers. After sending my request through YELP, I was quickly contacted by Brian from LBs Hydro Jetting. I discussed my kitchen & laundry drain issue with him. I needed to have the drain "hydro jetted" to clear all the "gunk" out. Our discussion was via the YELP app & also by text. Brian explained everything to me so I can understand the process easily. His price was very affordable compared to other hydro jet services that I contacted via YELP & thumbtack. We scheduled the appointment for the very next day. Brian showed up on time & began work right away. Brian did an excellent job in clearing out my extremely clogged up drain with the hydro jet. He actually used the hydro jet 3 different times to reassure me that everything was cleaned out....& it definitely was! He also attached a cover for my drain b/c I was missing mine. He didn't even charge me to put the cap on the drain. Now with the drain cleared out, I can run my washing machine without having my entire backyard flooded with water & "gunk" from the drain. These days it is very rare to find a company or an individual who isn't trying to "rip off" or take advantage of middle class people like myself. Boy, I got a story to tell! A MUST READ. I had a shower drain clog that I expected to be a quick and easy clear for plumbers. I hired the first plumber (big shop) and they tried just about everything, snaking it twice and hydro-jetting - no luck. They finally gave up and said my pipe is cracked and the only way to fix it is to trench costing thousand of dollars. I decided to call back those that had given me a quote earlier but didn't use on Yelp to get an idea what re-pipe job would cost. Brian is the only one that picked up my call at 5:00 PM. I explained the situation to him but also told him I was really hesitant to spend anymore money to just have another plumber to tell me the same thing as the first guy. He said no problem but he said let's not do the re-pipe unless it's absolutely necessary and insisted I allow him to snake it himself first. He charged me a really low price (knowing that I already spent a bundle with the first guy) for the snaking and even willing to include camera inspection, if required. Mind you that I didn't want to spend a $1 more snaking because I thought I had to re-pipe. I decided to take a chance on Brian because he sounded really sincere and he genuinely wanted to help me. However, I was hesitant at first because he was new on Yelp and had no reviews at the time. I decided to take a chance and gave him a try since I needed a re-pipe quote anyway. He arrived in an hour and went straight to the snaking. GUESS WHAT? HE CLEAR IT ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT. WOW! Let me started with a big complain about they did not advertise themselves as they should be! If I could find Brian last year, I could definitely save myself a lots of trouble & money. Over all, working with Brian is like a breeze. I had to find a plumber in emergency, cause the pipe for my water filtration system bursted due to the bad application from my last plumber (who I find from thumbtack with a five star review, not answering my phone to honor his warranty, sign ) However, due of this emergency, I was able to find Brian, a plumber I can finally trust with. Brian arrived as we chatted on yelp, only 20 minutes later he got to my house and start to find the problems. I won't say it's hard to find the problem, since all the water shot out the dirt had made its way to become a small pond with a small fountain; however, to fix the problem, Brian has to dig the whole things out, only find my last plumber did not even bother to meet the code requirements. I was really angry about my last plumber, cause I paid him a great price for his crappy job. Brian had offer me a more economical plan, and a more through plan. I feel comfortable to choose the more pricy plan which includes to swap my main line. I asked him to fixing it in the same time because I really don't want to deal this one more time. I had my mind to change the main ever since I bought the house, I know is quite a cost, but it's about the time for the house, and the earlier I swap it, the earlier I enjoyed it. I guess what I'm trying to explained here is Brian did not try to over sale or push me into chose the more pricey way, instead he offer me the cheaper fix to save my money, for me the problem is to find the plumber I could trust. Here is couple reason Brian gain my trust: 1. On time Especially for the first time, I was desperate with the leak, all that water goes to the waste, and our California is in drought, heart breaking for not notice the small leak earlier. But he's not only on time on the first day, but during our little projects, he updates to me his schedule ahead. Seriously, most contractor say that they are going to do that, but Brian actually does that. 2. Clean I totally understood that plumbing jobs can be really messy, but a clean look indicate that he is more attention to the detail and more likely to resume the look before the start 3. Explain and listened to the problems Because Brian is helping to figure out the most cost efficient way to fix the burst, he eplained throughly with all the details. He make sure that I understand the scoop of the works, and gave me the reason why he choose to do so. This patient really is the key to avoid the misunderstand between us, especially when English is not my native language, really appreciated! He also fixed the last plumber's mistake, Brian correct the water loop and now we finally get filtered water inside my house as we designed! 4. Not pushy, and shared my concerns As I mentioned repeatedly that Brian is always tring to safe me the unnecessary cost, and I can feel his devotion and passion about what he do. He spend tons of time to make sure I understand what he would do, and almost no time to over sale me anything. 5. Priced right I don't generally bargain with my plummer as long as they do they're job right. But Brian lyft the bar, as I said I had always want to redone the mains, during the years of seeking a plumber, I've always ask them for the main replacement quote, none of them beat Brian's offers. 6. Joist invoice Paper invoice always have been my nightmare, for me that hand writing invoices is horrible to deal with. I really enjoy that Brian choose joist to send me the quote & reciepts. Everything he does is clearly showed on the invoice, I don't have to guess their handwriting. Overall the experience with Brian is so great that we actually hired him to swap our water hearter. so we have had recurring issues with our garage laundry sink backing up over the years. it is connected to my kitchen sink too which can also back up. when doing laundry we often have had to prepare to use buckets to remove water from overflowing. normally we have the sink "snaked" but we decided to get it done right this time and do a complete hydrojet. so i started Yelping and got about 10 quotes. anyway so glad we went with brian and LB hydrojet. he's a young man getting started but he knows his stuff, very polite, respectful, and went out of his way to get to me right away (within an hour) and got the job done. his price was also very good compared to the others. anyway very happy with brian's quality, price, and attitude. thanks again brian! if i could give you 10 stars i would! read more

This rating applies partially on one part of the job - could be misunderstanding - Brian said it's better to open up the wall and make connections there and as long as you have the paint the wall would look like it was before the job, and he was correct however, I understood he was going to do the paint while he thought I will. The plumbing job was good but my wall looks like shit because I am not a painter and don't have few hundreds more to hire a painter for an hour job. I woke up on a Sunday AM and discovered a stream of water in the garage. It was easily traced back to my 6 year old water heater that had started leaking internally. I reached out to the company who originally installed it to try and give them the business since the first experience was good but they were unresponsive. I reached out to another plumber I've used in the past and he still hasn't responded (as I write this it's been 5 days). So I started messaging folks on Yelp. Brian was one of the first to respond and asked that I give him a ring. We chatted and we went over the issue, and he recommended a few options that he could do today. Granted this was 11am on a Sunday and made me feel like he dropped everything to help. He gave me a very reasonable quote for the entire water heater replacement and associated pipes and a new stop valve as the old one was original to the house. He stopped by exactly at the time he said he would (1pm) and completed the job in a couple short hours later. Brian layed down canvas and was very thorough and cleanly. He even had the garage floor wiped down as it was basically flooded...he didn't need to do that! End of the job, the quote was exactly what I was billed. What I appreciated most was that he took care of this repair quickly, did exactly what he said he was going to do, was clean and courteous and very reliable, all on a Sunday afternoon. We had a foul smell coming in from our kitchen sink and it was unbearable. We rent a condo, so I had another plumber from the association come over and look at it. When he failed to show up the next day as agreed, I was desperate for someone to come fix asap.
