I worked with Diane for my recent wedding 10/20/18 at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City - and I could not recommend her more highly. She is a beautiful person, with a lovely spirit and sense of humor - and a true passion and talent for flowers. I met with her three times, for an initial consultation and then twice closer to the wedding as the now-in season flowers began to arrive. Each time, I had her undivided attention and a relaxing experience, as if we had known each other a long time. Her husband was in the shop when I first went for a consultation, and though he didn't know me, didn't know if I'd be working with them, he congratulated me and wished me a wonderful wedding and marriage. As deliveries came in during my visits, everyone was happy and relaxed and seemed like a well-organized team. She really listens to preference and vision, and adds a beautiful flair that I couldn't have imagined. She worked within my budget, and included flowers I would have thought would be beyond it. Bouquets, boutonnières, wristlets and centerpieces were stuffed and fluffed full of countless varying roses, dahlias, ranunculus, lisianthus (had never heard of these but Diane was so right about how beautiful they are), and so many other flowers. They all smelled gorgeous. My guests were able to keep the centerpieces in their display compotes which I loved and had never seen before (usually you need to remove the flowers and return the compote/vase). As my church is very ornate, I didn't need flowers for the pews, and Diane completely agreed - she never tried to sell me on anything unnecessary. On the wedding day, she was prompt, prepared and sweet - everything was a breeze. She wrapped my grandmothers rosary into my bouquet beautifully. I so appreciated her integrity and enthusiasm for making my wedding even more beautiful and special with her flowers. She is a lovely person and great businesswoman - I highly recommend her, and look forward to working with her again in the future for all flower needs, big and small. read more

I was referred to this shop by Amanda's Restaurant for my baby shower and I cannot rave enough about how positive my experience was with Flowers by Diane! I had a very simple shower with flower centerpieces and a balloon wall. I showed a picture of the arrangement look I wanted and they were able to recreate it within budget using flowers in season. Diane and her team were extremely kind and helpful and treated me better than my wedding florists (and we spent a ton of money on that! Yuck!). Everything came out beautiful! My poor boyfriend has been wasting his money on Dianne's flowers for over two years now. Out of about at least 8 different arrangements I would say maybe 50% of the time they last more than a day or two. Because flowers are usually for an occasion or nice gesture, I try my best to make them last as long as possible. I felt the need to write a review after getting the last arrangement for our anniversary. The shop called him to replace a specific flower in an arrangement he selected and Diane's decided to put in sunflowers that were literally half dead. They did call for consent however to me it seems like they just try to get rid of bad flowers and shove them into random bouquets. Not to mention this is not the first time they had to "replace" flowers that are on the brink of death. To make it clear, the whole bouquet of flowers don't die but parts of them do. Extremely disappointed to see another arrangement go bad after only one day. read more

I'm definitely not a flowers guy. However I needed to get some this past week and I initially chose Diane's because of it's location. I'm glad I did. The person working there was extremely helpful, especially with a 23 year old male who's clueless about flowers. She helped make an arrangement that exactly fit my budget and couldn't have been more friendly. I don't buy flowers often, but when I do, I choose Diane's. I ordered a corsage for my Mom's 70th birthday tonight. I requested it to be pink and white and I was told no problem. Today when I picked it up it was all white, with maybe what appeared to be one blush tone flower. Cynthia who was working was super sweet and offered to add some hot pink baby roses if I would wait. I had about 30 mins to spare before a hair appt so it was fine. She remade the corsage for me and from what I could see in the store it looked great. I paid $25 plus tax and was on my way. Once I got to the salon where it was bright I realized that one of the larger roses was brown and just about dead. See photos. I did not have time to go back so I had to pull out the dead flower. I ordered flowers for an event from Diane recently and was terribly disappointed. This was a birthday party for my spouse that was in a nice restaurant. Despite sending Diane pictures of what I wanted, the decor of the restaurant and specifically naming the flowers, the flowers were delicate, insipid and pale and more fitting for a bridal shower than a man's birthday party in an Indian restaurant - which really made me think that these were "leftover" flowers from a bridal event. We said no pink, but there was pink all over my arrangement - hot pink and greens would have been okay, these were pastels - whites and pinks. I have provided this feedback directly but there is no resolution from the business. What stood out was the lack of honesty in the response - Diane included flowers in the arrangement like snapdragons and calla lilies that we had not discussed and I did not want. I asked for hydrangeas, green mums and green berries. I have bought flowers from Diane before when she had a store in Hoboken but this time felt that she didn't listen to me at all and has provided no resolution. read more

They told her to come in at 5pm, and they would make it right then to her specifications. She was super excited until they decided to close early on Friday. What can I say, Flowers by Diane is my go-to "I'm sorry" place. Each time (luckily only about a handful) Diane or someone there makes me the best arrangements and for a pretty solid price. She sells flowers, I don't know anything about flowers I know women love them and they cost money that is about the extent of my knowledge. So, when I walk in she usually asks "what's the occasion" or something along those lines. I've had to say well it's a "I screwed up and I'm sorry hun" occasion...and BAM Diane rocks an arrangement that makes all forgiven. She has dug me out of a few holes. She is fast, reliable and really solidly priced. Last time I went in I asked for one red rose, not only did I get a rose she made it spectacular and for only $5. To me, worth it, the rose lasted quite awhile too. Fellas, if you messed up, forgot a birthday, skipped a holiday or just want to say I love you check this place out you'll be forgiven. read more

I went to Flowers By Diane today to buy 50 roses for my wife's 50th birthday (which is today.) I walk with a cane so carrying them was a big concern for me so I brought a good sized duffel bag hoping that the boxes would fit in the bag. Diane was very busy and could have easily asked me to return later to pick up my roses when I said I would like them now but she did not, she dropped everything to help me and before she even started the order she made certain that she had boxes that would fit in my duffle bag and went to great effort to also make certain that she could keep my order down to two boxes without disrupting the integrity of the flowers.. She offered me a seat and as I waited we had pleasant conversation. The phone rang many times (a young woman works for Diane and answered the phone), but even if they wanted to speak to Diane she told the young woman to ask them if she could call them back in a few minutes while she focused on my order. To top it all off, instead of putting the usual "baby's breath" in with the roses she used these lovely white flowers and did not charge me for them even though they are typically an extra cost. Very pleased and will go to her shop again. One additional note: As I read some of the other reviews I would like to say that it is not necessarily the florist's fault if flowers die in a couple of days; there are a number of other factors which could cause that to happen. read more

I used them before but they really screwed up my Valentine's Day order this year. I place a $100 order of flowers, chocolates and a stuffed animal for my wife. I would have gotten this anyway but since I was traveling out of the country this was particularly import. Flowers had not arrived by 7pm so I called. They told me they saw my order but it was still on the truck. Finally they arrived at 8:15pm but didn't buzz our apartment. Instead they called from an unrecognizable cell phone saying they couldn't get in and try again tomorrow. Tomorrow is not Valentines's Day! Horrible experience. Diane was extremely rude and aggressive. I will never be ordering flowers from this place again. I ordered flowers to be delivered on Valentines and the flowers were not what I ordered online. The flowers were kind of droopy and some of the decorative pieces had been replaced? I called and left a polite message during working hours to ask about what happened, and Diane had the audacity to call me back late at night with the rudest attitude. Before I had a chance to introduce myself, she started going off on a monologue about what she did right and how she couldn't possibly be responsible for what happened and making me feel guilty for god knows what? I felt very uncomfortable speaking with her and I really feel cheated. Please don't risk ordering from here for important occasions. Popped into this flower shop last minute to pick up flowers for a friend's birthday. My friend is obsessed with dark calla lilies, which is usually a hard find when it comes to flowers. Luckily this shop had them! They also had gorgeous Picasso calla lilies to accent the dark ones. Customer service was excellent also for being able to accommodate my walk-in order, I think her name was Cynthia, or whoever the super cute girl is that works the evening shifts on weekdays, she was great! read more
