    Mardi Gras throws on SALE!!!
    Jen B.

This NEW location of Bridge House Thrift Store on Earhart is replacing the OLD Thrift Store on Camp St., so disregard most of the reviews that were written before 2017. That was the previous location, and incarnation. This location is super neat, has lots of furniture, a nice selection of household items, plenty of framed pieces, clothes, shoes and books. They are always having a sale on something. On my last visit I picked up a barely worn pair of basic flat shoes for $1! There is always a selection of books for only $1! They also had Mardi Gras throws for sale, in case you are riding in a parade. Many, many nice things in every category. It is my new favorite place to bring my donations as I feel much better about helping local folks in recovery than I do about 'donating' to the Goodwill Corporate complex.

its close, convenient, and they take everything.. i like clearing out clutter and down-sizing, and feeling good about putting recycleables to good use.

Bridge & Grace House provide amazing services to the City of New Orleans. Donation services span from household items to automobiles and RVs. Changing lives & making New Orleans a better place.

This is a great place to support. They have a good deal of furniture, clothing, and housewares. It seemed like half the store was on an amazing sale the day I visited. I didn't get anything that day, but I didn't have enough time to really look. I'll definitely be back. Not as large as the salvation army on Jefferson, but they still had great, quality choices.

    boots $26.95 before 50% off

I've been here twice and it seems like a great thrift store to find boots as I found a cute selection both times. The first time I left without a pair I liked and went back hoping they would be there but of course where gone but I did find another and didn't make the mistake again. They have a section to grab last chance items at $1. I will say the prices are high so once you take the 50% off that I received both days I went it brings the price closer to a thrift store bargain. I wonder if certain items are always 50% off as I see a slash through the prices of clothing and other items besides furniture I believe. Maybe the pricing is a way to make the customer feel they are getting a discount while making sure they make enough to support the cause? You must spend $5 to use your credit card or donate the rest to get to the $5 charge. I feel it's supportive for the community Grace House serves so I will continue to buy from there. Plus I want more boots.

This adorable mini lamp - $2!! And 7" tall, from top to bottom!! The perfect night light.

I like thrift stores and I can usually find something here. They also have great sales here. I go to the one on Airline Blvd.

Ultimately, Swap has singlehandedly eliminated my need to ever go to Lakeside Mall or Canal place, and has given me the wonderful ability of clicking delete when I get a sale notice from Banana or J. Crew because I know I can get the item at Swap in the same condition for less money. First, the owner, Michelle, is fabulous. It is like she has read every how to make your employees and people around you respect and love you book on the market. Or maybe it's innate for her. I don't know. Michelle is a genuinely kind person, who signs every single one of her business' emails with every single store associates name. In a world of faceless corporations, that means a considerable amount. Swap discounts items on a schedule. I know they do at 30 and 60 days, so you can take a gamble and watch an item if you are in love. Swap has only been open for a little over two years, and nearly half of my wardrobe went to be consigned there and the other half has been rejuvenated by it. My finds include Theory shirt dresses for 15 dollars, silk Club Monaco skirts for under 30, Coach wallets and wristlets, Tory Burch clutches for under 100, a Guess red peacoat that was Blair Waldorf worthy for under 70, banana republic silk tops, etc. How did this happen you say? Michelle opened her store in a section of town that has wealthier liberal arts schools literally 2,500 feet away (tulane and loyola) and is wedged in a wealthier part of new orleans. So, an influx of a revolving market with a disposable income. Brilliant! She works her butt off to get the word out about her store to New Orleans' ladies who lunch who then bring their garmets here. (Thankfully) There is no hipster ridiculous pretentiousness here (Im lookin' at you Buffalo Exchange) and they are always kind when you consign your items. I have never been treated anything but wonderfully by Michelle and her crew. If you are in the area, make a point to stop here. Honestly, I would work here for free if it were legal, but well, we both know there are labor laws. note: sign up for store emails because Swap loves coupons as much as you budget fashionistas do, and they also have an ebay edition of their store.
