Purchasing our dock as a dockominium was one of my best decisions this spring. We had rented the dock for eight years and with everyone fleeing NYC marinas, Half Moon Bay Marina is quickly becoming the most sought after marina in the entire tri-state area. We have a 35 foot slip that has 9 feet of depth at low tide and the storm protection in this protected harbor is unparalleled. During Hurricane Isias, it was as calm as a placid lake in here. The WiFi is always perfectly strong enough to stream movies and the season goes all the way until the end of November. I can't thank Steve and his out of this world staff enough for making this oasis of a marina so enjoyable all season long. On a side note, Steve is such a beautiful person through and through. He also has lots of independent mechanics on the docks to assist your varying needs. Best bang for your buck and most scenic marina around in NY! read more

Happy as a lark in this watery oasis. Super strong WiFi, Outstanding wind protection, 9 feet of water at Low Tide, and the best customer service in the tri-state area! Steve the dockmaster runs this operation on the Hudson River, because of his attentiveness to every detail, you will feel like you're the only guest or seasonal boater there. We have rented a slip here since 2011 and couldn't be happier. Fortunately, the dock slips have an amazing amount of spaciousness between the boats, so it's perfect for social distancing. Another nice feature is their extended season, which runs from March 15 through until the latter part of November. The premier swimming beach with very clean water, is also literally adjacent to the marina. Highly recommend this marina to anyone who wants a Safe, and family oriented atmosphere. Truly a hidden gem on the Hudson River. Gorgeous location with deep water, and excellent wave wall. Such an easy and beautiful train ride to New York City from the Croton Harmon Train station that's an easy walk from the marina. The staff at Half Moon Bay are terrific, especially their manager, Steve Plotkin, who's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Can't do enough to make you feel at home. In addition to helping us and our guests find everything we needed in the village of Croton on Hudson, Steve even gave us great advice on purchasing half-priced Broadway show tickets in Manhattan. He even arranged for a full day of unbelievable stops and sights for us in NYC. Can't recommend high enough! read more

Best wind protection at this marina than anywhere in 3500 miles of cruising the past 4 years. We stayed with 5 other boats during Hurrican Isaias. The sea wall at Half Moon Bay Marina is just phenomenal. We really loved eating at the Greek restaurant ( Piatro) that's maybe 1/4 easy walk from the marina. Tavern at croton landing and Ocean House Seafood are both not to be missed. The prior reviewer saying it isn't deep water and other nonsense must be a competitor. Half Moon Bay far exceeded the stellar reputation we had heard for year. A huge thank you to Steve, Margaret, Peter and all their staff. We can't wait to return. Stay safe! read more

Just read a misleading review from last summer. Half Moon Bay Marina has never had any depth issues whatsoever. The bay here as well as the approach is 3 feet deeper than any charts show and the markna has at the least 8.5 feet at peak Low Tide. The pool has never been offered to transients unfortunately as it isn't the marinas pool. It's part of the adjoining condo complex. They do sell inexpensive passes to seasonal marina tenants, or marina dock owners. We have rented a seasonal dock herr for 8 years now, and have had many friends of ours stay overnight. Their overnight rates have never been higher than 3.40 dollars. read more

Absolutely gorgeous, Marina -Everything here well maintained and 9 to 10 feet of water at low tide. The staff is extremely helpful.. (Steve) we'll most definitely be back to this Marina anytime we're on the hudson, I highly recommend!!! Steve and his staff go above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our stay. Lots of great restaurants within easy, short walk, and Croton Harmon train station is an easy, quick walk as well. Express train to Grand Central was very inexpensive and only 46 mins. So many wonderful eateries and restaurants a short block or two away. Uber also has a great presence here and there are over 50 places to choose from to eat. Perfect and powerful WiFi for streaming movies. Perfect shelter from winds with their impressive sea wall. Our boat draws 8 feet and we never have to worry about coming back to the marina at a certain tide. Low tide in marina is always 9.5 feet. Spent our third season here and can't say enough good things about this watery oasis. Definitely recommend to anyone. read more

I have had the pleasure to own a boat slip here since 2008 at the marina and loved every minute of it, it's so important to keep your vessel at a location where you never have to worry about the unknown possibilities because Steve the doc master has you covered along with his staff and one of the great advantages is they have a diver on staff , I will also add that where the marina location site is so assessable to all land and water. Super strong Wifi and Exceptional Wind attenuation. Excellent Sea wall blocked 98 % of the wind during Hurricane Isais and the marina was as calm as a tranquil lake. Don't miss the great Greek restaurant Piatro. Over 25 great and very inexpensive restaurants are a real close walk ( less than 2 blocks). Don't miss checking out the famous Croton Dam and New Croton Dam 2.5 miles from the marina. Highly recommend Half Moon Bay Marina to anyone! read more

Incredible views, and outstanding sunsets! Perfect location to visit NYC by train from the large train station next door. Phenomenal array of great restaurants to walk to from the marina. We never met anyone as conscientious as the marina manager, Steve Plotkin. Was so refreshing to have a deep water marina- Very hard to find deep water marinas on the Hudson after Hurricane Sandy. Stayed here 10/17 on our return trip down the Hudson and couldn't be more impressed with the easy to walk to restaurants, the staff's attentiveness was world class. Wifi was outstanding all over the marina. A group of 5 boats were able to stream movies from different areas of this marina oasis. This marina really is just like being at a paradise resort. I have been at this Marina for over 10 years. I believe it's the nicest marina on the Hudson: deep water, wide slips, no commercial activities. It's a beautiful place to keep your boat. The dockmaster, Steve Plotkin, is one of the hardest working guys I know. He works very hard to keep the Marina ship shape. We had an extremely pleasant stay here. The staff is wonderfully helpful, with lots of advice about local places. They even arrange half off for rental cars. A big sea wall protects the slips from wind and waves. The onshore facilities, with showers, gym, etc, are top notch. We will definitely by revisiting this place! read more

Steve the dock master was fab. He answered the phone day before I arrived in my 44 ft sailboat to assure me there was a berth for me. He also sent photos of the berth and pen drawing of how to round the point as you can't see the marina before the point as it's tucked in. Facilities great! Steve made it very friendly! read more
