I've been coming here for years for IDs, and when I buy a car etc and Everyone is fast and friendly besides the older white man with glasses. His colleagues told him to use translation so it would be easier for a customer to understand what he was asking but he didn't care and told her to be quiet and gave the man no real help or opportunity to even understand what he was trying to tell him. Something so easy as translation could have saved this poor guy from having to pay for a visit to the eye DR if he had stopped being rude and disrespectful to the customer. Also, I got here at 9:45ish am and there was me and only 2 other people inside, so no it wasn't busy so there was no reason for him to be so mean and in a rush. No job is easy but when you work at a DMV, you have to be better. So if you are waiting in line for an ID OR DRIVERS LICENSE and he's the one to help you, I'd let the next person go so you can get someone who's truly going to help you. Only rating my experience a 1 because it was truly disgusting the way he treated this man. The women who helped me were awesome! read more

When we walked in at 9:30, the office was almost empty with 4 or 5 people in front of us. However, half of the employees were walking around and talking. We ended up still having to wait 45 minutes for our license service, and it doesn't end there. We got called in by the old man about the 3rd counter on the right side when you walk in. Immediately he said that the paperwork says "black and white" that we only put in the residency application and haven't got the approval letter as if we can't read. We explained and showed him that according to regulations, the application itself grants residency and legality to stay in MO. Wouldn't discuss. Typical DMV incompetency and inaction. We were able to get our license at a different DMV later the same day. read more

The Overland Office opens at 9am. Website says 8am. Many sat in waiting for 8am. Then to find out from girl inside opens at 9am. So don't start waiting at 730am. read more

Nobody likes the DMV, but if you have to go, choose this one. After being rudely turned away from the office near Hobby Lobby by a stressed worker (poor lady), I went to the Overland location and was helped by a friendly gal behind the counter. I don't blame the workers. It's a hard place to work. But their managers need to equip them with strategies to make it easier and less stressful for people. The Overland license office proactively helps people with their paperwork *before* their number is called. This helps reduce wasted time in line. A brilliant initiative! Kudos to their team. Other branches should take notes. read more

I came here at 4:40, pulled a ticket. There were 20 people ahead of me! I sat outside with my autistic son because there were NO SEATS AND HE gets triggered if I am unable to make him comfortable. Im sitting in my car at the door and he refused to service me! Hopefully this review is NOT paid to remove by business. They are heartless people, some do not know how hard it is for some of us mothers who have to take off work to come to handle business while having children. The solution was to come back tomorrow at 8 am. Instead of letting me in @5:01! You should advertise that you close at 5 pm and NOT 6! I even tried to come to the door while it was still 8 people ahead of me! Do better, if you call yourself making an announcement for "those outside" get a bullhorn or actually say something, not just lock doors 1 hour before closing. Change your business hours. read more

Overland License Office - Departments of Motor Vehicles Near Me - Overland, Missouri

This location changed their physical hours without updating the website and posted a piece of paper changing the hours, even though nobody updated anything anywhere else. This is the first location I went to and there were about 10 people taking pictures of the door, trying to call and upset that they couldn't get in. To make matters worse they were people inside working and ignoring us. On top of all that the phone number doesn't work. It goes to voicemail box. It is completely full and it refuses to let you leave another message or even let it ring. knowing those people are in there working and they can't even pick up the phone to explain the situation is insulting. I went to another location after this and it was the same situation. All of the hours are now incorrect and these license bureau, no longer have the same Saturday hours. read more

I recently purchased a vehicle and needed to register and license it. I decided to visit this location because I was running errands that morning and it was in the area I would be in. Finding this location was easy using Google maps - its in a strip mall set back from the road but they have a big sign roadsign to guide you. The parking in front of the office is one way, so grab a spot when you see it. Inside is fairly large with lots of seating. They still use the ticket system versus the computer check in. When I arrived I was the only person needing registration so I was called straight to the counter - I was shocked because there were like 20 people waiting but they apparently all needed licenses. I had reviewed the website in advance to make sure I had my documents, but I knew I was missing one. I had paid 2022 property taxes but haven't received the paid document in the mail. I was hoping they could look it up. When I got to the counter I let the employee know my predicament with the personal property tax and they advised it was no problem and they looked it up right away to make sure we'd have it. That was awesome. Sadly we also discovered some of my paperwork from the dealership was missing data, but after speaking to the supervisor for assistance we were able to correct it and still get it done that same day. The employee who helped me was friendly and courteous and seemed to really want to help. Even on a Saturday morning. They really made the whole process easy and stress free. I'd highly recommend this location for your registration needs. Note that this place is filthy, like with literal dirt on the floor that looks as if it hasn't been cleaned up in months... so if you have little kids that might sit on the floor or you really prefer a clean location, this is not the location for you. I'm only giving 2 stars because, I went in to get my drivers license renewed and was told 1 of the things I brought was not valid. At that point all my paperwork was piled up in front of me and was told to come back monday. First off, I looked up on the states website and what I brought was valid so the girl was too busy with her phone call to think about helping me. And second, being rushed out so they could hurry up and go home was too rude. I won't be going back there, but it's not like would care anyway. My suggestion to everyone is if the Overland office is busy, just go somewhere else. If they aren't busy, take your chances. read more

This office closed early on Saturday October 30, 2023. According to one of the people outside it when I arrived shortly before the 1pm closing time, they closed 5 minutes early. By the time I left to go to the Ballwin office, which closed at 2pm that day, there were 3 of us turned away because they closed the office early. Maybe this was a one-time thing. I don't intend to try again. BTW, as best I can tell, if a license office has any Saturday hours, it's only on the morning of the last Saturday of the month. A few have posted hours of 1pm or 2pm, but at least one of them (Ballwin) is changing to noon. You'll definitely want to check. Or just get there early, and bring a book in case they're busy. read more

I live in Olivette but I ALWAYS go to the Overland Department of Revenue License Office. The sweetest lady (Janiel)? Consistently provides the most efficient and professional services. I am sorry that I do not know her name but I am pretty sure she is a manager - and if she isn't - she should be!! She knows exactly what the person needs to get a new driver's license or license plates.. and she is kind. This is the best license office - for sure. I want to tell you that these guys are so friendly! Any licenses that you need they keep you safe by greeting you at the door and keeping people out that don't have all their information. They're very friendly and happy to help you with any questions that you have! And they saved my phone which is my lifeline thank you so much overland and to the gentleman that helped me last night! I'll break this down in numbers. There are currently 5 workers and 41 people in the room waiting to be helped. Of the five workers, only ONE is doing licenses/ID's. God knows what the others are over...plates and....? Not sure. Of the four doing God-Knows-What, one has spent the majority of her time walking aimlessly around the office and playing with her friend's baby. So that technically leaves three people in the God-Knows-What area. Back to the ONE person doing licenses. We have been here since 11:30. It is currently 12:09. She has been assisting the SAME COUPLE for the past 30 minutes. There are about 7 people waiting for licenses (maybe more...hard to tell with the papers up there). You do the math. read more

for a DMV office, this is as good as it gets; I have been all over, been hassled and treated like poo in st. Charles and O'fallon, Troy is ok if you can find the place, but this overland office blows them all out of the water, even if I didn't live in the area, i would be inclined to drive out of my way to get to this one. it's not fancy or even particularly nice, but you don't have to stand in a rat maze for 2 hours just to get talked down too and told you're missing something they have a tv, a place to sit and some stuff for kids to mess with, the tellers are all good people and will tell you what you need to get things done, they will answer your questions over the phone, read more

I have always had great luck with being taken care of in timely fashion. William has been taking me and my family for years. Even when they have lived in other parts of the city and county they always come to the Overland DMV.
