I opted to get out of there! I went back the next day. They open at 8:00 and I got there at 7:30 and was seventh in line. I think there were 30 or so people in line when the doors opened. We were all given numbers by a man who works there. By 8:30, at the latest, it was standing room only. Things were moving along pretty well. That is, until it was my turn. I did have everything I needed. Long story, but if I had other paperwork it would save me a lot of money. I stepped aside to do what I needed to while the gal helping me helped a few more people. I got what I needed sent to me on my phone. But we had to get documents from my phone emailed to them and they would send them to their printer. It did not go smoothly. I was willing to walk away and go back early another day. I would get the document copies so it would all go well. I truly felt bad taking up so much time when so many people were waiting. But the gal helping me and her supervisor figured it out! I've been going to this location since they opened and they really are a good group of people working there. The gal who helped me this time is Dipika. She actually recognized me from prior visits there and I really don't even remember the last time I was there. She's so nice. She's very pleasant, doesn't get upset, and is very kind and helpful. I hope she's the one who is available when my number is called the next time I have to go!

I've been here twice in less than 7 days. 1. 6/18/25 was a Wednesday at like 2:30. There were about…read more10-12 numbers ahead of me and maybe 3 clerks waiting on people for licenses and titles. I waited over 30 minutes and when it was my turn the clerk was friendly but slow and processed my application for a clear title. 2. 6/23/25 10am on a Monday morning. I needed to renew plates. Yes I should have done it at the same time as the clear title thing but I didn't. I pulled number 71. They were on number 28. Ouch. That's probably a 2 hour wait. I got back in the car and drove 12 minutes to the west county office at 15533 Manchester. I pulled 70 and they were on 67. They had at least 6 clerks. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Do what you want with that information. Obviously chesterfield is SLOW AF.

Over the years it has gotten quite busy here and the lines are long; leading to frustration. One new thing they are doing: there is now a person at the door going over and making sure you have the correct paperwork BEFORE you get in line. I thought I had all the correct paperwork, but Elaina who was working the door, went through it and pointed out one more item I needed. This helped me tremendously and I did not have to wait to get up to the counter to find out. Once I had the correct paperwork, Elaina sent me to the counter Krista then helped me. She was awesome! She took care of everything and I was out in a reasonable amount of time. Both Elaina and Krista represented the company in only the best of experience that day.

To top it off, you feel positive because of those good vibes you get while you are there. We were there on 04/18/25 at 2 PM. I started my stopwatch as soon as I entered and it took 40 minutes in total for two of us to get our drivers license renewed. Step 1: You have to enter your name and reason for the visit in the iPad and wait for your turn. Step 2: Pre license document check. Once it's your turn , someone will call your name, check whether you have eligible documents and bundle them together with a paper clip and go back to your seat and wait again. Step 3: You will be called again to a different counter to complete license issuance like questions, picture etc. This office is worth a visit. Very kind people and they do have a website. Whom ever is running this, please takeover other inefficient DMV's like Olivette. Note: I had a very bad experience on the olivette office and wasted 2 hours the day before only to be sent back.

Sometimes they will accept documents on your phone and sometimes they won't. They need better communication skills and Training. Some of the workers communicate effectively, and some of them have attitudes when speaking to customers. If the rules are universal, shouldn't all the workers at every location be telling customers the exact same thing. I will give this location the benefit that someone was just having a bad day, but don't take it out on your customers. They are quick and efficient at this location.
