Absolutely great find, hidden gem, any other cliches you can think of, this place is IT! New in Pittsburg, returning the U-haul in Moon Township, we crossed back over the bridge and decided we were hungry. Took a left at the light instead of a right back to the house and this place popped up on our search. We were skeptical as we walked up to the restaurant, it's curb appeal is lacking but fits well in the town of Ambridge. It was a little past the lunch hour, but the restaurant was pretty full. The bartender greeted us warmly and told us to seat ourselves. They had a nice selection of craft brews, which is typical of Pittsburg it would seem. This was the second of 4 restaurants we went to over the long weekend, and all of them had a nice list of craft beers. The bartender was awesome and the only person other than the cook or cooks in the back and the service was excellent. She was quick to get our drinks and appetizers. The wings and the pickles were delicious both piping hot and crispy. Someone got a burger which was definitely "gourmet", well seasoned it was tasty and juicy. Others got the steak sandwich and I got the ribeye sandwich. It was shaved ribeye, like a Philly cheese steak but way better in the flavor department. It had some creamy horseradish dressing that paired great with the ribeye. Absolutely everything was great, the service, the drinks, apps and sandwiches. Truly amazing find. read more

An awesome hidden gem of a tavern! I wasn't expecting for this restaurant to be as welcoming, cozy, and delicious as it is. The staff is amazing. From the moment you walk in, you can feel their joy and excitement that you're eating with them. Our waitress was great and gave us a rundown of the menu and all her favorite things. Unlike most taverns that have frozen fried food, the food here is handmade daily. And you can absolutely taste the difference! For an appetizer we ordered bruschetta, which is a top seller. It was absolutely incredible, maybe one of my favorite bruschettas I've had in years. Everything from the mozzarella, to the tomato, to the bread was extremely fresh. And the balsamic glaze and garlic herbs on top added a punch of flavor. As my meal, I ordered the Bridgetown Burger and loved it. The meat was very tender and cooked perfectly to my liking. The fried egg on top and bacon created an awesome balanced texture and flavor. Then the Anaheim pepper cheese and burger sauce just added to it all with flavor. Delicious all around, even the handcut fries! On top of it all, their prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you get. Absolutely come check this place out! read more

Never had something I didn't like here, but the Rachel is my absolute favorite. Adding their house "dust" to your sides is a move. The majority of the staff are some of the best people you'll meet, make you feel welcome, and really hustle. Rotating taps (I think there's like 8?) always offer a good variety. One of the best neighborhood spots - my only complaint is that they're not open later!!! read more

Bridgetown Taphouse is a hidden little gem in Ambridge that we were invited to visit by a group of our friends. The interior has a very cozy feeling, and there is plenty of room to sit at the bar and in the dining room. We ended up sitting at the bar and ordering a few drinks. The only disappointment we faced was that they were out of blackberries used to make one of their signature drinks... of course it happened to be the drink my boyfriend really wanted to try! After a few drinks, we ordered a plate of Tots with dry ranch seasoning which were absolutely delicious! The prices were pretty average. We would definitely visit again if we were in the area! read more

Went here with some coworkers while on my recent trip to the Pittsburgh area. While several had sandwiches, they said this place was known for their wings and tots. I will have to second their recommendation. I had the wings (BT dust and garlic parmesan) and our table split some of the tots, which came with the BT dust seasoning as well. I'd definitely recommend getting the tots with the BT dust - it goes well with them. The garlic parm wings had a great flavor. The BT dust wings were ok, but I'll probably try a different flavor next time - the lemon pepper is calling my name! As I said, I'll definitely come here again next time I'm in town for work. read more

The burgers were great: perfectly grilled patty, fried egg and melted cheese in a toasted sponge bun. I ordered the BT house burger. The patty was a bit under seasoned, but still good. Wings were hot, crispy and tasty. Beer varieties were excellent. Price was reasonable. Service was almost perfect. It was a Saturday night and the bar was packed. We were lucky to be seated in 15 minutes. May be this was the reason the service was slow. It took almost 40 minutes for the food to come. The fries turned soggy. Don't get me wrong. The servicer was very friendly, checking us often and taking our drinks often. May be the kitchen was really busy that night. Overall, it was great place for burgers, wings and beers with family and friends. I will definitely go again. read more

Amazing food and quick service! I've been meaning to try out this place for a while and I regret not coming sooner. We were seated promptly and the server was great when it came to helping my partner decide on a drink. We ordered wings, the prime rib French dip and the Bridgetown burger. I got slaw as my side and my partner got fries. Everything tasted great and the wings were extra crispy and sauced. Will definitely be coming here again! read more

Great neighborhood bar and grill. Our favorites are the scotch eggs, wings (super meaty & crispy), and Italian sandwich. We have tried several items on the menu, eaten in and had take out = NEVER HAD A BAD MEAL! The service is prompt and polite. Definitely a great spot for a great meal. read more

Normally I eat here every other week but Tuesday evening I went and ordered the Rachel sandwich. It was pretty good then about an hour later I got super sick and couldn't hold it down any longer. Not sure what was bad on the sandwich but I've been sick the past day and a half with food poisoning, I can't eat sold food or water without it coming back up... A diamond in the rough of Ambridge. Not much curb appeal here but don't let that fool you, the place is nice inside. The service was pretty good, staff was very friendly. They apparently make a lot of their sauces/dips from scratch in house. They were running a wing special so we tried a dozen out, they were cooked perfectly and the "honey jalapeño" flavor was great. I have passed Bridgetown Taphouse for over a year when I am in Ambridge and also heard lots of friends say it was good. My wife and I were out on Saturday and decided to try it for lunch. We were happy we did. I had the prime rib sandwich special that came with a side of au jus for dipping and it was excellent. We also tried the wings and they were FANTASTIC! Good, meaty and crunchy. Sauces were very good as well. My wife ordered a salad and the staff was very accommodating when she realized she ordered a grilled chicken salad rather than the grilled buffalo chicken. The waitress promptly brought the buffalo sauce and blue cheese crumbles to make the salad what she wanted. We saw other orders come out and everything look great. Home cooked and you can tell they take their time and prepare everything to order. Although the entrance to the Taphouse makes it look like you are going into a dark, dingy bar, once you enter, it was clean, well lit and friendly. It was very good and we will be back. Food quality has changed. We've been going there for a few years and did to go during Covid. I always order a cheeseburger, med rare. The burgers were huge to fit the bun, well seasoned, juicy and cooked to perfection. The last 4 times ordered, they were small, very well done, tough and had no flavoring. I could pull 1/3 of the bun away and throw it out. The point being, if you need to sacrifice quality to meet the price your asking, don't. I gave it my final shot tonight and it was dry and awful. That's it for me, I've given lots of chances for a rebound. I suggest you pay attention to the quality standards you followed when you first opened. read more

Came here for the first time for dinner. We ordered the fried pickles appetizer, la flama blanca chicken sandwich with fries, and the portobello mushroom burger with a side of coleslaw. What's Hot - Quality of food. Hubby and I liked our food. It was delish. His flama blanca chicken sandwich had jalapeño slices and a spicy sauce. It had a kick and was not overwhelming. However, be aware if you're the type that likes your food hella spicy, this won't do it. There is malt vinegar at the table, so you can add that to your fries, tots, whatevs. My burger patty wasn't thin and cooked to order. - Non mayo coleslaw. Dudes, it's cool to find a place where the coleslaw isn't made with mayo. Their coleslaw is made with a vinegar sauce and there are red onion slices in the coleslaw, too. Something different, yet delicious. - Fried pickles. They use pickles from a local Burgh pickle company, which is delish. Their fried pickles aren't overly breaded, too, which I like. For me, if a fried dish is thickly battered, that tells me you're trying to hide something. These pickles are definitely sour, but have a nice flavor. - Price. For the most part, their prices are reasonable and are reflective of their portions. For example, my burger was around $10. The fried pickles are pricey- around $7. Total for me and hubby was around $35, including tip. - Menu variety. The menu options are decent. It's a one page menu. You're not overwhelmed with choices. They have a decent bar/drinks menu, too. It's a one small one page menu- a few wines, a handful of mixed drinks, and half the page is beer. - Service. No complaints. The waitresses were nice, helpful, and attentive. What's Not - Layout. To be fair, many bars/taphouses in the Burgh are small. That brings its pros and cons. This place is no different. It's small and somewhat compact. There aren't many tables. It can get busy easy and when it does get busy, the sound will carry. By the time we left, this place was less than half full and already it was difficult to have a conversation. Be prepared to talk loudly and not be able to hear the conversation easily. Additionally, none of the tables seat more than 4 people. I don't recommend large groups. If that's an issue, call ahead to make a reservation. - Dim. The inside is very dimly lit, so it's not easy to see. - Parking. It's a small town area, so there aren't many parking options around when it's busy. Be prepared to parallel park in the neighborhood. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, but it's not the most convenient. Final Answer Willing to come back again, but not on the top of my list. read more

Well the service was very good. I had the Elvis burger and enjoyed it. The tots were cooked perfectly as well. We tried the Scotch Egg app. It was just ok. I wouldn't order it again. My daughter had the pretzels and beer cheese as dinner. I enjoyed the beer cheese that cake with it, however the pretzel was sitting in a pool of grease. My Elvis burger was good but not wonderful. The beer prices are too high. I had the Helltown Misfits & Misanthropes #20 and paid $7.50 for a 10oz. Draft. Last night I went to Giant Eagle and filled a 64oz. Growler for $12.99, so 10oz at $7.50 was a bit excessive. Drop the beer prices, hold the grease from the pretzels and I'll cross back into Beaver Co for dinner. This isn't cranberry or North Hills, so the prices should drop some. read more

This was my second time at BT. I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. I was greeted immediately upon entering the non-smoking bar on my way to the dining area in the back. There are several t.v. sets all set to different channels with no sound. I liked that approach. Great music is playing the entire time at a decent decibel. You can hear it but don't need to scream to be heard either. Kelly was my server. She was very friendly, knowledgeable & attentive. Bruschetta was our appetizer. It had wonderful flavor & was plated nicely. We dined on the Bridgetown salad with chicken. I don't like bleu cheese dressing but my daughter insisted that I try it on the first visit. It was so good & different that I actually requested it for my salad. Generous portions of food. Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly service. I really enjoyed my dining experience & look forward to frequenting this business. read more

Would love to come back for the food! The beer and service was excellent. What a gem not to far out of the way! There were tons of craft beers on draft and a cooler full of more.
