Love the Hangar! The food and vibes are consistent and enjoyable. Over our many visits we've enjoyed the Cuban, bang bang shrimp, nachos, and weekly specials! Highly recommend to keep an eye on social media for weekly themes and specials (bingo, taco Tuesday, drink specials, etc) to enjoy a night out! The staff is always amazing and friendly. We were there one night when the power went out and it was like they didn't skip a beat in taking care of everyone!

The service here is ALWAYS KIND, Friendly, Quick and on point. Food is great bar good- but made to order Hot, and fast. Ambiance can be loud and or just enough energy to play pool, or Music Bingo!! Fun! I have tried many things on the menu while passing by from the airport, or just come here to play music bingo on a random night. They also have an outdoor airport in the summertime, which was always nice to sit outside and listen to great music around some really good people. This time I got the chicken and fry basket and my other half got the hot roast beef sandwich both with fries mmmm.

Stopped here prior to our flight out of Pittsburgh. Found it randomly while driving and looking at nearby establishments on Yelp. Atmosphere is nice - typical local bar feel. Waitress was pleasant, but over-talkative IMO. My husband ordered the Reuben with beer battered fries for an up charge. They came with regular fries, and most other options were an up-charge. The sandwich was decent, but very, very greasy. I ordered a chicken sandwich which was good, but again - an upcharge for fries. Not a bad place for a quick bite to eat.

Finally made a trip out to The Hangar for lunch on a weekday. The bar area was partially full with maybe 10 other patrons dining or drinking. The inside has a dark bar vibe with lots of neon lights, bar seating? high top seating, and some tables. The bartender was quick to bring us waters and menus. We ordered a good variety of food starting with the loaded tots, boneless wings in the hottest sauce option, a hot sausage sandwich, and a reuben. The tots come with a signature honey sauce that (in our opinion) did not work at all with the cheesy, bacony flavors of the crispy tots. We opted for the side of ranch instead. The boneless wings were good and the reuben was phenomenal. The reuben was stacked with meat and sauerkraut, the rye was toasted and fresh, and they subbed the swiss for provolone and I loved it. My bf said the hot sausage sandwich was just ok, though it definitely looked appealing. The service was a little slow, but friendly. Would definitely come back to enjoy more food and drinks on the outdoor patio.

I met a friend here for drinks and appetizers one night recently. It is your average sports bar with lots of TVs and a nice selection of food. There aren't too many other options in this particular area so it's a good bet. Nothing completely wowed me, but it was a decent night and I would return.

Great atmosphere and terrific prices! Happy hours, pool table and good music. Stopped on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy, our order came out quick and was delicious! Can't wait to stop back and enjoy the outside seating in better weather.

The Hangar has improved so much over the years! I'm happy to say it's one of my favorite local bars for food and drinks. Their happy hour is 5-7 with half off drinks. It's an unbeatable deal! They also have a daily food special. I've visited on wing night and $1 taco night, and neither disappointed. The staff is kind, attentive, and quick! They've made us feel welcome each and every time we've visited. We are glad to support a local small business! P.S. I highly recommend the hot pepper cheese balls!

Not sure why I expected anything different when we went there today. Today's experience: Our server took our order in a very reasonable timeframe, but we waited close to 50 minutes for our food to arrive. And this was on a weekday; they were busy but not packed. No one came by to provide any kind of explanation. When the food finally arrived, my fries were cold and we had to ask twice for refills on our beverages. We had to go to the bar to get utensils and napkins because the server never brought them. As we were leaving, a couple at another table had just gotten their food and had the same problem-- they needed utensils and napkins. This isn't the first time we've experienced very slow service at Patrick's Pub. I don't know what the issue is, but I'm sorry to say I probably won't ever go back to Patrick's for a meal.

They also have a big menu for drinks at a pretty reasonable price. I was surprised about how many people were there for an early dinner on a Thursday, must be a popular local spot! We had the smashed fingerling potatoes, it was pretty delicious and I liked the ranch that came with it. There was a lot of toppings on top too! For my main, I got the seafood risotto. It had shrimps and bay scallops. It had a generous amount of seafood in it. By then I was full but they had good sounding desert, including a GF Bundt cake! I wish I had saved some space for it. For my drinks, I had one of their speciality mules: Maggie's mule. It was kind of too sweet for me.

And served piping hot and stayed hot (how do they do that?). Drinks: good but nothing special. Great selection of local tap beers, local spirits left a lot to be desired. Two vodka options and neither are worth drinking. I didn't bother looking at whiskey as PA doesn't have any worth anything. Service: absolutely terrible. Sat for 15 minutes with no attention. Finally had to flag down the host and it still took another 5 minutes. Complete amateur servers. Never checked back after meals served and server spent all her time socializing with other employees at the entrance. No management on site it appears - it shows!

It may surprise some to know how many times I've hung out in Pittsburgh in the last 16 years or so,…read morebecause I've never been to a Primanti Bros. before. But then again, I am vegetarian, so I didn't think they offered anything for me. I've looked at the menu online more than once, and didn't see any sandwiches designated vegetarian each time. But I was meeting a friend before a concert on the RMU campus, and this was conveniently located 1 mile away, and it had food and beer. I kept an open mind and figured, I'll just modify one of their sandwiches. When I arrived, I learned they also have a pizza option. But I still thought... when in Rome... There was a black bean option listed on their wall menu, but the waitress double-checked for me and we learned together that they use to offer that option, but no longer do. Damn. There was however a cheese (no meat) option on the menu, which I was surprised wasn't on the online menu. But I'll take it! Their sandwiches are interesting in that instead of sides of french fries and cole slaw, the sides are just stacked into the sandwich to make it a quick easy convenient meal! The draft beer selection was good, the sandwich was decent enough, and the service was great (weekday evening). In the end, I am not sure I'd run back for my one sandwich menu option, maybe I'd try their pizza, or go for some sides, or just stop in for a beer on my way to my next show. I enjoyed the vibe and most everthing about the place, but the sandwich was just okay.

I just was not thrilled. You definitely have to expect a weird experience if you want to enjoy the food here. I also ordered a slice of cheese pizza just in case I didn't like the sandwich. The pizza was not good though. The customer service was pretty decent though. So pops for that.

Our waitress was personable and knowledgeable while being the only waitress in the entire place. The four of us ordered a wide sampling of the menu items: chicken parmesana (not a typo), small pizza, meatball calzone, and broiled fish with pierogis. The chicken parmesana was tasty and the sauce was amazing. The small pizza was delicious. The meatball calzone had just mozzarella cheese and meatballs in it. My daughter asked for sauce once she discovered there was no sauce in the calzone but was halfway through before the waitress had a chance to grab it. The meatballs were dry and not very tasty. The broiled fish was topped with onions, tomato slices, and seasoned breadcrumbs. The breadcrumbs were VERY seasoned and dumbed on like a garnishment while the fish had no seasoning on it. The tomatoes and onions may have added flavor but there was so much lemon, that was all I could taste. There was nothing about the experience that was horrible...just better places to dine.
