I have the cleanest teeth around now, which makes me so happy! My hygienist here is awesome. Dr Edwards and his assistant (Carly if I'm not mistaken?) did a phenomenal, extremely precise and careful job on my 1 tooth implant I just had finished. Which, I'd been nervous about after I mistakenly went to a 'holistic' dentist for that, which cost so much, and took very long to redo. I had to go to a perio specialist, then to put my zirconia implant crown on, Dr Edwards did a whole procedure to do that perfectly. And I'm very grateful to him that I can now chew normally and not worry about it anymore. Being born without an adult tooth is no picnic, but luckily there are pros like Dr E to help us out with these things in life. read more

If you're a dental chicken, this place is clucking great! I've been going here for years and can't say enough good things about Dr. Edwards, the hygienists and the staff. Dr. Edwards is mellow, professional and super communicative - he always lets you know exactly what's going on and the state of things inside your pie hole. The Covid protocols made me feel super safe and I've been cavity free every visit (knock on wood). Also, they give away quality Oral-B toothbrushes after your visit - none of those junky cheap ones that feel like you're brushing your teeth with shards of glass. read more

I've been Dr. Isaac Edward's patient here at Laurelwood for four years. I had not been to a dentist for several years prior to coming to Laurelwood because I did not have insurance then, my teeth looked and felt "fine", and I had some dental phobia. I was quite anxious then when I first came here. Soon learned that I'd need several crowns, that could be done over a two year period, but that I had two that needed to be done soon, or I could lose the teeth. One could easily imagine the way I felt, not just for the "ugh, the procedures" but because of the cost. I still did not have insurance, so used Care Credit, which was a huge help. I thought for my first crown I'd need nitrous oxide, because I'm a fraidy cat, hyper nervous kinda gal, so they had it on standby for me. But Dr Edwards was such a cool cat and put me so at ease, that I was able to trust him without the nitrous. Saved me money and I didn't have that weird rubbery cap over my nose for the whole thing. I was amazed at how truly pain free the ENTIRE procedure was, as were every one of the other procedures I had at Laurelwood. Dr Edwards must have the gentlest feather-light touch of any dentist - outstanding chair-side manner, he has a calm, caring way that always puts me at ease. For the first four crowns (yep, "first four") I almost looked forward to the visits (no, seriously), because I'd be getting them over with, and because I had total trust in Dr Edwards, knowing he'd be as gentle as possible. I wish all dentists had his feather-light, steady, confident hand. Dentists should never hurt their patients unnecessarily, and Dr Edwards never has me - and remember, I'm a real Nervous Nelly. Assistants Debra and Ashleigh assisted at all my procedures, and both were wonderful, very competant and kind. The hygenists are excellent. I will be moving out of state soon, and it is with a sad heart that I cannot keep Dr Edwrads and Laurelwood as my dentist. Front office management works with you with respect in terms of billing and payments. I recommend Laurelwood highly. read more

Nothing negative to say about Laurelwood. The main thing I look for in a dentist's office: 1) is someone is looking to buy a new powerboat by trying to sell me a bunch of unnecessary procedures? 2) do the hygienists know what they're doing or are they scraping up the inside of my mouth and leaving me in pain? I didn't think that dealing with a broken tooth could be a good experience, but it was. I would give Laurelwood Dental 6 stars if I could, this is as good as it gets. Everyone I interacted with there was both compassionate and consummately professional. Their technical tools and methodology seem to be state of the art, and the whole process was remarkably smooth and painless. They even lent me some nice Bose headphones so I could listen to an audiobook on my phone during the procedure. And while dental work is never cheap, the final cost was reasonable for the work done. A truly remarkable team, and this is coming from someone who fears the dentist like no other. The front desk staff is very patient while scheduling and flexible in regards to helping with insurance. Both hygienists I've had (Michael & Tiffany) are exceptionally gentle yet thorough. As a kid and a young adult, I never liked the dentist nor did I have the best dental hygiene habits. Fast forward to when I started receiving dental care at Laurelwood Dental. That all changed. The staff are all wonderful people; friendly, funny, normal every day folks. My hygenist Mike always has me laughing with the story sharing we do twice a year. Great dentist. Even though they are out of network, it will well worth it. We only have one set of teeth at this age, so why not do everything you can to take care of it? I came in with a cracked filling from that a previous dentist did. I've just moved to this area and am in the process of finding a new dentist and it seems like you're gambling with your health, as you go around to try and find a new dentist. My first gamble bit me in the ass, as I was in pain for 6 weeks as the metal filling, that the dentist assured me was stronnger than a composite, cracked a few hours after I left the office. I made multiple phone calls and emails into their office, only to be ignored and finally told that bleeding and swelling was normal for the first few weeks. I've had filllings before and not once have I had to wait over 3-4 weeks before I could chew. Enter Dr. Edwards; I may not be a dentist and understand the dental lingo, but I really apperciate that he was informing me of his approaches, and plan before and while he was working on me. Dr. Edwards will be my new dentist. I highly recommend him. read more

This office refused to provide routine dental cleaning service unless I updated my x-rays after 2 years. That's not my issue with this office as they are entitled to their own policy. My issue is Dr. Hall didn't have the courtesy to explain the policy to me personally. Rather, he had the hygienist run back and forth with info. That speaks volumes on where patients (and hygienists) rate. Patients deserve better - a no go for me. read more

OMG! Regarding dental care, I had no idea what I've been missing!! Today was my first appointment, but it won't be my last! Details? Hygienist Mike and Dr. Edwards were never rushed with me (ah, what a pleasure!), and answered all my questions to my COMPLETE satisfaction, and explained even more that I didn't know to ask about. That means a lot to me, as I'm very motivated to care well for my teeth. I learned more useful info from those two during my initial appointment than ever before during *any* dental appointment! I didn't feel like "just" another patient. I felt treated with COMPLETE (there's that word again) respect! Like I said, I had no idea what I've been missing (better late than never)! I've been going to Laurelwood Dental for years. Tiffany is a wonderful hygienist, cheerful, bubbly, and very gentle while getting the job done. Dr Hall has always been a great professional. Honest and concerned in his assessments and great at his work. They have also been amazing in handling urgent situations for my family. A bit over a year ago, my wife chipped one of her front teeth 10 days before her wedding dress fitting, and they were able to get her in with time to spare. This place is AMAZING!!! We just moved to the area and I brought in my two kids for cleanings: Helpful! On time! Efficient! The MOST friendly staff! The hygienist were lovely, the Dr. came out and went over what he saw, friendly and clear...all with a smile! I honestly found this to be a SUPER pleasurable experience!!! I couldn't be more pleased with Laurelwood Dental! I've struggled to find a dental office I could trust because my history of sensitivity and cavities have been taken advantage of. When dentists in the past have recommended work, I had no idea if the work was really needed or not. At Laurelwood, Lisa did a great cleaning, had great tips for me about preventative care, AND took pictures of the tops of my teeth. When Dr. Hall talked about decay around an old filling, or enamel disappearing, I didn't doubt his recommendations because the pictures were right in front of me. I have to say that the extra reassurance went a long way to make me feel confident in making the investment on my teeth. I couldn't recommend more. I had an emergency and got an appointment the next morning as soon as they opened. Dr. Edwards is incredibly nice and empathetic. It was the second time I have seen him and he has a very gentle temperament. I HATE going to the dentist but I would definitely recommend them to anyone. The gal at the front desk was very nice and helpful as well. She got me an immediate consult at the oral surgeon next door. Ok, I don't love going to the dentist, but I know I have to. The staff at Laurelwood dental are efficient, friendly and compassionate. I had a hard time finding a dentist when I moved from NY to Portland years ago, they are not all the same! I don't have bad teeth, but I have developed some adult dentistry fear. The staff at Laurelwood Dental take my fear seriously and genuinely want me to be healthy. They have been honest and direct about billing and insurance. It's working: my last appointment I was thrilled to be told I have heathy teeth and gums. If I do have a problem in the future, I know they'll work with me so it's not too scary. read more

I can't say enough great things about this office and the doctors who work there. I have extreme anxiety about the dentist and cry every time I go, no matter what. These guys take such amazing care of me! They NEVER make me feel bad about crying, they are very comforting and understanding and do everything to make me feel comfortable. That's so much more then I can say for previous dentists. I have seen Dr. Edwards and Dr. Hall, both are so accommodating, kind, and gentle. Last Thanksgiving, I had a very small filling fall off of my front tooth. I freaked out because I thought I had broken my tooth! I called in and Dr. Hall saw me right away. He reassured me that it was only a small cosmetic filling that had come off and replaced it without ANY CHARGE! I walked out paying nothing and feeling great. Yesterday, an implant tooth came out and I was pretty freaked out. I called Dr. Edwards emergency line this morning and left a message. He called back within an hour and come into the office on his day off to put the tooth back on for me, again no charge. They really go above and beyond for their clients.
