Our waitress was wonderful! This was our first time here! We ordered a garlic cheese bread to start off our dining experience which was recommended by the waitress. We ordered a medium pizza with pineapple, pepperoni, sausage, onion, and green peppers with light cheese! Our waitress offered us a coupon with a purchase of a large you get a free cheese bread! We then upgraded from a medium to a large pizza! Great deal! The cheese bread was pretty good! The bread is thick and was a little dry! The cheese and garlic are delicious! The marinara is tasty for dipping. The pizza is really good! Thin crust with a crunch! The sausage is the way to go with small crumbles all over the pizza! We liked the toppings and wished we had more pineapple! My wife dipped her pizza in another side of marinara! We really liked the pizza and we will be back! East Peoria location (Yelp not allowing business address update): -Food 4 stars -Service 3.5 stars Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt since it was a Saturday evening. We were seated at a high top in the bar area which was less than half full when we arrived. It was full by the time we left. There were two bartenders (skinny guy with curly brown hair and blonde girl) and the hostess who floated in/out to clear tables. Ordered the hand cut fries as an appetizer which were OK. Our server, the blonde girl, warned they do not season fries. Yey for being fresh n hot, but they needed a few more minutes to drain as they were soggy from the extra oil. Entrees took at least 35-45 mins which is understandable for pizza. Bf got the Hawaiian pizza, and I had bone-in garlic Parmesan wings. Both were good and served at the correct temperature. Server didn't check on us after food arrived. We tried to catch her at least two times for a pop refill when she was taking orders at tables near us, but she would take off immediately. I had to ask for a refill at the bar = automatic 1 star deduction. Since food was good, I would try them again but get carry out or sit in the main dining room. read more

During the covid19, Mickie's Pizzeria has made it clear that they are serious about keeping everyone safe. When you go in to pick up, they sanitize the pens to sign for your purchase. We stopped in for dinner last night, and got the Mediterranean chicken pizza, fried mushrooms and Buffalo chicken sandwich. It was all delicious. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great. I also had Desthils peanut butter porter. It was so good, and they had a large selection of different beers- not just the usual Miller lite etc. We left very full and can't wait to come back in the summer to hang out on the patio and see what beers rotate in. read more

Easily one of the best restaurants in East Peoria. Pizza always comes out perfectly no matter which one, the crust is always perfectly crispy. From taco to pepperoni or even just plain cheese I've yet to have a bad pizza here. Staff is kind and attentive. Mickies has some of the best bone-in wings I have ever had in my life. Fries are always cooked to perfection and never soggy. Wide selection of soft drinks from the fountain or bottles in the fridge. Atmosphere is inviting and spacious. Clean restaurant and bar. Prices.... little above board. Service very good. Value for food and getting my order correct...... Not sure whos fault. I asked the waitress if the tenderloin was really a tenderloin or a little fritter. She claimed it was a tenderloin just not the super large kind. They pound out themselves. Well..... FRITTER!!!! Cause if this was pounded out.... it would have disappeared. Asked for LTPO on sandwich.... 3 out of 4 ain't bad.... No tomato. Asked for a bowl of chilli with my order. It was all to go. Asked me if I want cheese and onion. I said no. I also read the chips were supposed to have a cheese sauce. Did not get that. Lesson..... No matter how nice your server is. All the food was good, and I'm very picky about pizza. We started with breaded mushrooms and cheesy garlic bread. Both were ample portions, piping hot, and delicious. Next we ordered a few wings, bone in. I probably would not get them again but hubby liked them. Also tried a bowl of chili - excellent. It was thick and rich, and well seasoned yet on the mild side. Finally, pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom pizza. Not a darn thing wrong with it. Crisp crust, slightly spicy sauce, plenty of toppings. Service was a little slow. Mickie's Pizzeria is a great place for pizza in the Pekin area. We went here on a busy Friday night recently. I got the taco pizza, which was pretty good. My husband's veggie pizza was good as well. They are a couple dollars more than I would like, but not terrible. The service is good. Our waitress Nikki was super sweet and when the kitchen made our pizzas wrong, she had them remade for us at no charge. We ended up with lots of leftovers! read more

The food is excellent, but when you wait 15 minutes to be seated in a near empty restaurant, and then still haven't had your drink order taken after sitting at the table another 5 minutes, no food is worth that. We ate at Mickies recently on a busy Saturday afternoon. The dining room was full, and service was a little slow but appropriately so for a packed dining room. The salads were not fresh, and appeared to have been in a cooler for a while. The pizza was good, but not awe inspiring. We tried Mickies blindly, not knowing the area. We were not disappointed! Our waitress Cheryl, was very attentive. My had an order of mozzarella sticks, and then split a pizza. My daughter had pepperoni. I was intrigued by the sriracha sausage and got that with red onion and peppadew peppers, which I must say is a different yet excellent choice! We were actually going to another pizza joint nearby that happened to be closed, so we decided to stop in for some pizza. We are glad we did! The pizza was outstanding and our waitress Jaclyn was awesome. I think I surprised her out of the gate with my smart ass comments, but she jumped right in and made it a entertaining evening. Back to the pizza, the crust was awesome with airy multi levels of crisp crust with generous toppings. We truly enjoyed the whole experience out on the patio on a beautiful evening. This is by far the best thin crust Pizza around. Not wasting inches of edgey dough, you can eat every inch. Waitress stated that they make their dough, meat, seasoning and their own sauce. If I could give this a zero, I would. I could bore you with details from our poor experience, but instead I will share my take aways from tonight... 1- The owner is completely unprofessional and rude. She is willing to throw anyone under the bus in defense of "company protocol". 2- The owner doesn't value her employees. She blamed one of our usual waitresses (who we loved) for all of the mistakes made. I believe as an owner, you "own up" and take responsibility. 3- Losing customers is okay if it means not losing a couple bucks. We have driven from Bloomington to attend trivia night for 6 months with at least 4-6 people. The owner was willing to throw our business away over $4 and her pride. 4- All business owners should be required to take an etiquette course. The most appalling part of the situation was her walking away from our table in the middle of our conversation....to another customers table to talk about what had just happened. TALK ABOUT COMPLETE TRASH. 5- We LOVE our Mickie's trivia family (Keith and Stephanie), but no where near enough to patron this establishment again. read more

Typically I love this place. And all the way up until 830pm today, I would tell you I was planning on coming back every Wednesday, like I have for the past 6 months. But after dealing with the owner, tonight, instead of our usual waitress (Stephanie who is awesome) I will truly have to reconsider ever going back. You see, typically my gf orders a gluten-free pizza, not by choice but due to allergies, and it usually runs at about $13.59 for it. But tonight, after receiving the bill it magically was $4 more, which left me wondering why. So we ask, and we were told our server, before, charged us not enough, due to pickles being a specialty item, and that this is the right price. And instead of fixing it for us, the customer, and saying that she would fix it this time and it would be charged accordingly for future visits, she decided to tell us that Stephanie is not a good server. You see, i had no problem paying the difference of our food, as I ate it and I will gladly own that responsibility. But when she tells us that Stephanie is not a good server and that she will be reprimanded, that didn't sit right. I'm not mad I didn't get my food for what I normally pay for it. I'm mad that I was treated like an idiot. After listening to her justification, she walked away as my girlfriend was responding to immediately go to another table where she proceeded to talk about us before our backs, as if we couldn't see her. We drive from Bloomington, practically every Wednesday for the trivia night, and what we thought was a good deal on pizza. This owner has effectively lost nearly $100 every Wednesday from me and my trivia team. I will be sharing this story and letting everyone know of this crappy experience. Keith (the trivia moderator), Stephanie (good waitress/bartender), the three guys with funny team names, we will see you later, maybe. They are willing and able to get over losing nearly $100 A Wednesday for the owner's pride. Long story short, at Mickie's- customers are rarely right. read more

I would never recommend this place after the experience I had.  I was excited about having the party I had booked there.  I had been spreading the word about her business.  Coming in with family and friends ahead of the party.  We always ordered something, food or drinks and played machines.  But apparently the owner can't handle talking to customers. Her and the staff.  I called and had questions yes, but so what. I am sorry if you cant handle talking to customers, and doing your jobs.  She was EXTREMELY rude to me the for the last time a week out from the party date.  I thought I am NOT about to give her the amount of business we were about to give her after that awful treatment.  She made me feel like we were a major inconvenience.  She was also rude to my family and friends.  Mind you one of my friends walking with a cane and can't walk well. They told her we needed to go around to the back bar side and sit at a high table.  They acted like we couldn't sit at the first table in, they told us those are for people apparently ordering more food.  Oh we ordered two sodas and an appetizer.  We both told them we are sorry but she can't walk that far.  So after those experiences, I decided to cancel my party there.  I drove back in person to politely tell them.  I said Im giving you the respect you did not give me.  So cancelling I am sorry.  Not because of me but the rude treatment I got here.  Then asked for my money back.  The mgr. told me the owner said no will not be giving me any of my 100.00 back.  I said wow, she could have made this right, but she chose not too.  So we will never be patronizing this business again. You just don't treat people like that.  I had witnesses too.  So it was not just me. read more
