My name is Jess and I'm a bartender at Brigetts and have been for the course of 5 years. I really hate to see low end reviews, some are just really down right so far off about the establishment. Brigetts is a safe, fun, karaoke bar, with a great happy hour crowd of regulars who have been coming there for years. It is a very diverse bar & everyone gets along. We have a sign that says be nice or go home, our bartenders are all there to make sure that EVERYONE has a good time. Having drama with your friend, and deciding to leave our establishment isn't a reason for a 1 star review...arguing with the bartenders who are simply doing their job...is not a reason to leave a 1 star review. This bar is a dive bar, it is a home away from home for a lot of patrons, even snowbirds, and visitors from out of state who come back each year. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it truly is a wonderful neighborhood bar and grill. We have hung out at Bridget's since forever it seems but I will not be returning after tonight. I was trying to relax as I'm having minor surgery tomorrow and popped in to sing a song. The bartender was rude and put out when I flagged her down for a drink for my date and myself. She rolled her eyes at me and was not happy that I did not want to run a tab. When my date had finished his first beer she took the glass and ignored the $20 we had laid on the bar. Fifteen minutes later she chose to wait on someone behind us and I spoke up. She was very nasty and told me she was waiting on someone else. We left and will not be back. read more

It's a dive bar that has awesome trivia on Wednesdays and Thursdays, surprisingly good food (get the pulled pork tacos) and great drink specials. Drinks were cheap. That's the most positive I can say. My friend (Also a girl) went here to try someplace new and loved the music and the lowkey vibe. However we were the only women in the bar besides the bartender. That's not always a negative. However when a man we did not know walked by us both and ran his hands all over us both with a smile on his face. Needless to say my friend and I were appalled and uncomfortable. The female bartender (young, fair skin, long dark hair) saw the whole thing and she said I QUOTE "oh he's nice don't worry about him". As if that is an appropriate thing to say to new patrons of your establishment. Suffice to say we finished our drinks and left quickly. The bartender was too busy encouraging her unruly male clientele and offering them shots of añejo to handle our bill in a timely manner. Such a shame. We wanted this to be our new spot. We would have told all our friends. Now we will only be WARNING our friends to avoid this place. To the owner of this establishment, get your staff and clientele in line. I have really tried to like this bar. I have been in three different times now. I am certainly not a prude and generally enjoy neighborhood, biker and dive bars. But this bar reaches an all time low. It's dark and dank and smells of stale beer and is dirty. The bartenders are the ABSOLUTE worst. They are extremely unfriendly and very rude with new customers. As I stated before I am certainly not a prude but I find it very uncomfortable to have to sit next to people (men and women both) they can't complete a sentence without dropping 4-5 F-Bombs. This place could've really scored big and increased their business when the Wagon Yard closed down. Apparently the owner doesn't care and it's a stinking shame. Do yourself a favor and if you have an IQ above 70, don't bother going in here. read more

I came here with work friends for Trivia night on Wednesday. The place looked dim and chaotic in some other yelp pictures, but it turned out to be better than expected. The floor was clean, they had a full bar, and the food was decent. Don't expect fancy food, but fries, chicken tenders, chicken quesadilla were all pretty OK. We were sitting at the bar while everyone else was being helped and finally the bartender came over asked what we wanted a simple 2 bottles of beer then never came back she helped at least 3 new customers as they came up and 2 that where already at the bar and guess what race they were.. Oh my goodness! I'm usually an afternoon guy but I happened to stop in on Friday night (9/30) and encountered the most eye catching young lady I have ever seen! Kailey! She greeted me right away and was most attentive, personable, and sweet the entire night with drink refills coming right on time! You could tell she really cares about the customers and the bar! Even to the point of emptying the plate of bones and spent napkins for me when I was half way through my dozen wing order which I greatly appreciated! You know what a mess wings can be! Which were great btw! Try the Honey Hot! I do go out often and have encountered many different bartenders. I think I am a pretty good judge of what good customer service is. Kailey was very focused on keeping the bar clean, the customers happy, the drinks filled, the glasses washed, the ice bin full, and everything tidy! Such a busy bee! And beautiful! The customer to my left complimented her with the term, "Striking", (she responded with a sweet thank you) and the customer to my right expressed to me that he was instantly enamored with her. It was easy to see that other patrons were equally impressed with her. Can't say I felt the same about the other young lady behind the bar. She did not seem to smile much or enjoy working there. But Kailey is the total package! So much so that I plan to visit her again on her regularly scheduled Monday day. Check the posted schedule and stop in gentlemen! Ladies too of course! I have now been 86d from this establishment because of my yelp review. Have not come by since until today and was told this. Heavily disappointed! I used to love this place but the nickle and dining has become ridiculous. I understand the owners are CPA's but now you can't sub out(for extra money!) a side salad with your burger. It would be $16+ for a burger with a side salad. You try to order another salad and sub out the blue cheese for cheddar cheese....nope not allowed it's an extra charge. You ask for mayonnaise for your burger....yup that's 50 cents. I get that things cost money but this is ridiculous! For the quality of food no one is going to spend $16 here for a burger with a side salad! Get your priorities in line! So dissapointed. read more

This place sucks. Bathrooms are gross and curtains are used as bathroom stall doors. The bathroom for the ladies is extremely small and a bunch of chicks cram in there just to use drugs. I felt like I was going to catch Syphilis and Hep A, B & C just by being in the bathroom. The bartenders there are not friendly and can't pour beer to save their life (too much head). Had fun as always with the trivia. But tonite was not very good - crowd was way too loud. Both me and my friend Had to walk up to the host to have the questions read back to us multiple times. Had to assume what some of the questions were. I couldnt even hear who the winner was at the end. I would so love for this place to get a tv screen where they can put the trivia questions on a TV screen instead of having to just hear the question over so many people yelling and talking loud. Many other trivia bars do this and have been doing it for decades. It is 100X better that way. This place needs that in the worst way. No bar would benefit from that more than this place. Just moved to this side of town recently and been trying to check out the local spots. Went in for a cold one around lunch time and enjoyed the vibe. Not too crowded, Friendly people. A place that bills itself as a "5 star dive bar" and pretty much fits the description. (I mean, you wouldn't expect them to label THEMSELVES as 4 stars) They serve a variety of non-bar foods, like soft-corn tortilla sreet-style tacos. There are a few good beers mixed in with the usual regulars. They spice up the week with nightly trivia and weekly free comedy shows. Really nice people on staff, too. read more

I have been here 4 different times. The first time I went I thought it was a decent place which is why I returned. Each visit after the first proved to be worse than the time before. The last time I went, which was about a month ago, my roommate and I went to celebrate her birthday with a drink. The bartender completely ignored us for the first almost 10 minutes we were there. She made eye contact with us when we walked in and just resumed her conversation with the person she was talking to (the said person was not ordering anything). Finally after waiting she did come over and take our order. The temperature in the bar was really uncomfortably warm, especially for it being Phoenix in May. Brigett's is a biker bar yet welcomes people from all walks of life. I hadn't been in a while but stopped in last night with my mom to have dinner and play trivia. Their menu has changed slightly and definitely for the better! I had the fish tacos and they were fantastic. They were topped with a tasty spicy mayo and fresh veggies as well as homemade guac on the side. 2 for $6. My mom had french toast and eggs (they serve breakfast all day) and I just had to sneak a bite because the FT smelled so good! They have several Mexican inspired dishes on their menu as well as burgers, sandwiches and salads. We arrived too late to take advantage of their fantastic happy hour (drinks starting at $2!) but will definitely be back for it! For those who enjoy Karaoke, they have it most (if not all?) nights of the week starting at 9:30 or so. They also have plenty of televisions, 2 pool tables and video games (I believe I saw Goldentee) a horseshoe bar with about 20 stools and about 15 hightop tables that are easily pushed together to accomodate larger groups. read more

I Love this place! Its around the corner from my house and reminds me of the dive bars in San Diego. Their happy hour is really cheap and they do karaoke every night, which my roommate loves. I could pass on that part. they also do trivia night and play every major league game usually. definitely a spot to check out if you're in the area. Good for after dinner drinks, or as a meeting spot after work. The people that come here are all very social and everyone seems down to earth. Their sliders are good but a little on the greasy side (buns covered in oil), but their tacos are to die for. I seriously love this place! I'm now becoming one of the regulars who stop by every Tuesday night for the great comedy show that is put on. Some nights the comedy is a little iffy, but most of the time I am LOL'ing. I tried the tacos for the 1st time last week and for $1.50 they are some of the best tacos I've ever had! After awhile everyone starts to know you by name, and remembers your drink orders (even if service gets a little slow). The perfect little dive bar for me. =D I've been searching for a bar like this for sometime and I coudln't be happier that it's right down the road from me. The impression everyone gave me was that this was some kind of biker bar, but after you visit you'll find there is a HUGE mixture of people who frequent here. My group and I come here all the time and we drive nearly 10 miles for this bar for the karaoke. Normally we have a great time, but tonight the bartender is obviously the most plastered person in the bar, and she told us to leave after trying to order "too fancy" of a shot. She then proceeded to lecture us on how Bridget's is a dive bar that doesn't serve our kind, and told us to go up the street. I still have to give it an extra star for the karaoke, I recommend you should just drink in your car to avoid dealing with the drunkard behind the counter. read more

This is a great place. Great neighborhood dive bar with a great Karaoke place (evil T.) The food is better than the average bar. The steak salad is GREAT and the breakfasts are incredible. Facility - Average. Your average neighborhood bar. Dark and dingy...like the locals love it. Quality - The quality is good. The cooks do it right. Very consistent. Staff - The girls at Brigett's are great. Price / Value - Brigett's prices are very good and they offer a great bang for your buck. Good and bad with this place, good was the food, cheaper drinks, VERY fast service (like probably the best service I've ever had from a waitress when sitting at a table at a bar, on a crowded Saturday night she still had time to make sure we didn't need anything at least every 5 minutes.) Bad, was the bikers hanging out front. By no means am I trying to harp on bikers, or even biker "clubs" (they had matching patches so this was a "club") I have nothing against them, at all. The problem with these guys were the constant stares my wife was getting walking around, like blatant whistling and staring, not just a "casual glance" I probably would've had to resort to physical violence if she didn't have a wedding ring on her finger, since I witnessed a biker hitting on my friend's girlfriend when they were walking ARM IN ARM. I'm sure it's a great place to hang out with friends. but if you're trying to bring a date here, make sure you're married and she has a wedding ring on and stays close to you or some biker is likely to tie her to his motorcycle, drive off, and make her his "old lady." Once again, NOTHING against bikers, I've known and hung out with many bikers, at many places, and they are cool to hang out with and don't walk up to someone else's wife and offer to "fight you for them." read more

Husband and I are on the hunt for a new watering hole. Yelp led us to Brigett's! We stopped in last Friday and Bobbi, the bartender, highly recommended the food. Husband and I checked out the menu and their happy hour seemed pretty reasonable. We ordered 6 extra crispy spicy wings to start, 2 shots of whisky and 2 beers. Beers were cold and our whisky pours were pretty generous. The wings were out in about 10 minutes and oh man were they good! They were so good, we decided to order another 6! We've visited 5 times since then and we've had their asada tacos, fries and burgers. Burgers were so-so, fries were my favorite thick cut steak fries and their tacos are pretty OK. The wings are my favorite item on the menu. A lot of the locals say the burritos are good. That's next on my list! My only gripe is that the bathroom stalls have curtains instead of doors. The bathroom itself is really tiny and the stalls are even tinier. So tiny that my knees were sticking out of the curtains! It's like a balancing act and I broke a sweat trying to figure it all out during my 1st visit. Using their bathroom can be really difficult after a few drinks! Brigetts has karaoke, stand up comedy, plenty of parking and friendly bartenders. I'm not a fan of karaoke, but I love comedy! I'm most definitly going to check them out on comedy night! read more

Really good drink prices, Awesome tacos.. but.... The girls there give such horrible service!! They will walk past you time and time again before greeting you if you are not a regular, and NOONE there smiles.. They make you feel like you are inconveniencing them every time you ask for something, or even if its your first drink order. That really makes me feel welcomed! It takes a very long time for drinks to come out.. I have given this place a try many times and its always a epic fail.. It's right around the corner from where i live and has great drink/food prices but won't waste my time anymore because of the inconsiderate staff.. I work in the industry and tip very well, I don't know how those girls make money there with the service they give. Hopefully they'll work things out, also get rid of majority of their staff, and maybe some day I'll try it again, but no time soon. read more

This place is what it proclaims - a five star dive bar. I came to Brigett's for one reason - karaoke. And this place offers it every night of the week! The first night I showed up, I was with three friends. All of whom had to leave early for work the next morning, but I wasn't ready to stop singing. Less than three songs after my group had left, Papa T (the karaoke DJ) advised me that no one sat all by themselves at Brigett's and invited me to a table filled with other karaokers. They were all super nice, very friendly and open, and genuinely seemed like they wanted to get to know me better. Due to Papa T's insistence I not sit alone, I've made several friends through karaoke. A nice thing for someone who just moved here from the Midwest and doesn't know anyone. Beer and food. The bar offers a kitchen with the usual bar foods. They are decently priced, good portions, and above-average bar quality meals. The kitchen is open late, even on weekdays, to accomodate the hungry, late-night crowd. Beer prices are reasonable, as are shots. I haven't had mixed drinks so I can't comment on their price or quality. TVs are offered, even during karaoke, although they are left to captioning at that point. There are four pool tables and a dart machine. If you're not interested in being part of the main floor, karaoke crowd, there is a second room to the back that houses two of the pool tables and the dart machine. Brigett's also offers several other types of entertainment BEFORE karaoke hours - such as comedy and team trivia. Happy Hour pricing and quantity is unbeatable really. I got to say, I am not a bar kind of girl, however, I do love me some Brigett's. We usually go on friday or saturday night for karaoke, and we always have a great time. The people that go to Brigett's are fun, and this is some of the best non-judgmental karaoke I've ever been to. Whether you are singing country, metal or bustin-out some whitney houston, people sing along and have fun with it. Also, good food. Seriously, i know you are a bar, so bravo! I love the white-boy burrito, and the chicken tenders. I even ventured out and got a breakfast combo one night (i know, right?) and guess what.... it was good too! From the outside, it definitely looks like a biker bar, but don't let that scare you from coming in. The energy is good, the beer is good (and cheap) and the food is good.
