Where do I start? Last night was unbelievable. My friends came to this bar and I meet up after to pick them up. We ended up staying a little longer because we wanted to play some pool, atmosphere was low not a lot of customers ( regulars only ) the old lady that bartends on Saturdays was very unprofessional. She complained that we took over the music when I was mixing my music and matching some songs that I thought a bar would like. My friends cashed out unfortunately she didnt like the tip they gave so I apologize and gave her a extra $20 bill plus what i had previously offered her. Well apparently she had a rough night and took all the anger on me. All of this was recorded because i felt discriminated Its clear that new customers are not welcomed . I end up leaving and decided to just wait for my friends outside. She comes outside with one of the regulars and starts taking pictures of my car and my license plates , like wow! I will post the songs we played and I hope the owner contacts me so he/she can see the video of how I was treated. Shout out to Diana a true bartender that knows how to respect others people's music choices. Jane, one of the owners, is one of the most gracious, and pleasant business owners I know. Tanya is one of the most awesome bartenders (and friends) I've ever known. I have been going for about a year, and I feel like this is my "Cheers". I know many of the other patrons, and I know the staff well. They always treat me like a friend, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. They also have free WiFi, and one of the best patios in Phoenix. This is definitely a dive bar, but in every positive sense of the expression. I met up with a friend there on a Sunday night (as we were looking for cheap drinks). It was kinda quiet when we got there but then picked up a little as a few more locals came in. It's small but the outdoor space definitely made up for that. This is bye far the worst establishment around they do not care abt there patrons at all just there money. My mother of 70 years old goes here and they over serve here every time and let her drive home drunk. There's been several times that she's fallen at there bar and they continue to serve her. Last night she had to go to hospital after falling once again at bar. I've asked them twice now to cut her off and not let her back into the bar and bar tender refused. I also called another time and asked for the owner to call me and once again I was not contacted. If this does not stop I will be taking legal action against this bar for over serving my mother and letting her drive home. She's on all kids of medications and should not be drinking with them. They say that they cut her off after 5 drinks then let her drive home. I seriously can't believe that they care abt there patrons. All they care abt is the money. read more

About 50+ of my friends and I visited this place last Monday night (yes we gave them a heads-up we'd be coming)... like a bunch of locust we stormed this place for about an hour of drinking and socializing before hitting the road. Walking in, this place isn't the biggest, but I was surprised to find a very good size patio out back with a ping-pong table. They have a pool table too and although it's really just a bar, if you need a snack while there, they have some bar food options (basically anything that'll fit in a microwave behind the bar). This is a little dive bar that is good if you are a football fan. They have 7 decent sized tv's and they are currently playing 3 pro football games and a baseball game. It is quiet besides the game and they are serving free nachos this morning. They have a few pool tables, darts, and a pinball machine. The bartender seems nice and attentive. I love this bar, have been going there ever since I moved to Arizona seven years ago. It attracts a friendly and fun crowd, I met a lot of good friends there. The owners, Jane and Dave are great people, always doing their best to make the place enjoyable for the customers. The bartenders are friendly, down to earth and always put a smile on my face. I've been going to this bar for almost a year now, after it switched from Four Kings. It has a great mix of regulars, occasionals, and first timers, providing for a great atmosphere. There is no "one kind" of clientele, which is what makes this place awesome. They have nightly drink specials, pool tourneys on Tuesdays ($5 entry), free pool Wednesdays after 8pm, and karaoke every other Saturday, among others. To save the best for last, I'll comment on their service. The girls who tend bar know how to bartend - and that is a rare commodity these days. They recognize the regulars, welcome the newbies, and actually TALK with customers. And for their mixing skills, ask for something off-the-wall when they're not packed, and see their face light up at the chance to make a specialty drink for the first time in years, or even better, for the first time. And about the lack of a kitchen, no worries. There are food joints nearby that will deliver to the bar directly, even if they normally don't deliver. Just ask the bartender - they'll tell you which places will run it over, and even get you a take-out menu. If you've been looking for bar that is not trying to be more than a bar, as so many places try to be these days, head over to North Central. I always enjoy my experience at North Central. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. There are a couple pool tables, darts, a juke box and occasionally live music. In the back is an eclectic patio area with tables and a ping pong table as well. Dogs are welcome here, and it attracts a very diverse crowd. read more

Apparently a few TVS and some pool tables turns any bar into a "sports bar". Sadly, I've been here quite a few times and have yet to be impressed. The mixed drinks I've ordered have been very week on each occasion. The acoustics inside are awful and yo're only ever to hear anyone if you go outside to talk to them. The one small redeeming factor about this place is the back patio. It's spacious and full of chairs/tables. Definitely the only place worth sitting and drinking in this place. 2 stars for the patio alone, otherwise I would give it 1.
