This place is very friendly to split bills for big groups. We come here regularly. Service has been good, food has been good. Just the fried vegetables appetizer is a basket of brown stuff and does not look very appealing, but it is OK once you get over that part and douse the fried vegetables in ranch dressing. Make sure to pay way in advance if you need to leave by a certain time. Last time I didn't have cash and there was a big delay due to technical difficulties. Cool dive bar in the back corner, park behind the bar, plenty of parking there. Came here with neighbors, it's typical bar with split seating, pool tables. The bar sits in the middle right when you walk in, seating is plenty on either side with pool tables, dartboards & a stage (on the right side). Booths are little tight to get in/ out, service was slow while the bar was empty [12-15 people]. The food is marginal at best; the potato skins were small from a frozen box, the sidewinder (fries) were thick but basic, the patty melt looked good, the wings were meaty but the sauce "Irish" something were basic Tabasco, the fish n chips were undercooked. We sent them back & they came back nice n crispy, onion rings were good. Cool hang for a bar, not for the food. read more

First time here, came to work event and a full on band beetles playing! Sounds were gravy and charismatic. They even played a few classic love songs like I" wanna hold your hand" ambience was great, bit noisy but it's a pub with live band. It was packed and everyone had a great time, it was so lively for a Tuesday! Can only imagine how it would be on a weekday! I would say come for the band, have a few appetizers but definitely stay for the mock-tails! Tried two: Pomegranate lemonade- just fabulous like an Arnold Palmer but 10 times better! Stopped by on a Friday to enjoy their all you can eat fish and chips. Grabbed a perfectly poured Guinness, along with some pickle and zucchini chips and made it through 3 servings of fish and chips. The fish is all you can eat, but not the chips, which was perfect for me. The fish came out super crispy on the outside with that light tender fish on the inside. Tucked in the back of an unassuming strip mall in the North Phoenix / PV area is this historic bucket of surprises. Will your shoes stick to the floor tonight? Are there 4 police cars outside for who knows what reason? Is there an open mic and the crowd is booing a performer? Is the bar on a Sunday evening full of pie-eyed dudes that had their first drink at 10 AM? The answer too all of them isn't yes... but it's probably a yes to at least one. Legend says that this bar was the first to ever pour Guinness on tap in Phoenix, and by "legend", I mean a Phoenix New Times article a gave a cursory glace. I'm not sure that makes it any better, but I'd rank it around the top 5-10 pours in the Valley. As of February 2025 it's $8 and the most recent was a little extra on the foam, but still a creamy tasty treat. Sit at / order at the bar and don't expect service levels above your neighborhood dive. Get the monster pepper jack sticks if you need a nap. read more

I like the food and the people sitting at the bar were great but the bartender Nicholas was not so good. Raised around the bars of NYC ( my mom was a barmaid most of my young life) you take care of your customers Nicholas did none of that we kept having to call him over because he was to busy talking. The bar was not busy he should have been walking around making sure no one wanted a drink or food this is what gets him tips. I can't say I would not go back because one bartender was not good doesn't mean they are all not good. I love Irish pubs. This one is in North Phoenix and it was my first visit here when I stopped in. Dubliner has been around since the 80's and has a long history here in the Valley (they claim to be the first pub to have Guinness on tap in Phx). The food menu has classic Irish dishes like Irish Beef Stew, Soda Bread, Bread Pudding and Corned Beef and Cabbage. I got one of my personal favorites - Shepherds Pie along with their popular Corned Beef Sliders. I also ordered a Black & Tan to wash it all down. Guinness has been one of my favorite beers since my college days and always pairs well with Irish cuisine. Good times here and it was nice to discover an Irish pub that I haven't been to. My husband and I were visiting the area over New Year's. We went to the restaurant on 12/31/25 around 7:00 pm. We left the restaurant by 9:30 pm. My purse was stolen while we were in the restaurant. When I asked the manager, Cheyenne, if anybody had turned it in she briefly looked around the bar area. After I inquired more she said she would check the safe. When she returned she said it wasn't in the safe but if it was a small purse it could have fallen to the bottom of the safe and she didn't have access. She also told me that if employees find things sometimes they "stash" things around the restaurant. She told me she would send out a text to employees that were working on 12/31. I left my contact info with her on 1/1/26. I didn't hear from her so I went back to the restaurant on 1/2/26 to check before we headed back home. It took 15 minutes before anybody would even acknowledge me at the bar. It was in the afternoon and not busy. I spoke briefly with a female and then a male came to the bar area and I explained it again to him. After explaining it to him he said, "Cheyenne was standing around the corner" but out of my sight. She heard the whole thing and told him the purse was not in the office. What kind of establishment allows employees to "stash" items around the restaurant that they find? A safe that has a top and a bottom? She only has access to the top. WIERD. I definitely will not be returning to this restaurant- service was extremely slow and the food was just ok. read more

Came here for the UYE International Supper Club! For March, this Irish pub was chosen to celebrate St Patrick's Day. It was moderately busy the evening we dined in as there were no events taking place until later. I decided to get the grilled chicken sandwich and a side of fries. I liked the charred flavor of the chicken and it was a filling dish. The fries were plentiful, and I tried some fried pickles which were tasty. Service was good considering the waitress was very busy (wo)manning several tables. She refilled our waters and got us our checks once we were finished. I don't drink so I can't speak to the beverages offered here, but it seemed like a popular spot and it was a casual and welcoming environment. read more

Stopped by here yesterday. Friendly staff. Our bartender was the only one working the area but still made sure we were taken care of. I had a fried chicken slider and a prime rib slider. Both were fresh and tasty. My partner had the fried fish. Also really good. The fries could have been cooked longer and crispier. Came here to listen to Nite Life Band and what a great surprise, the food here is fantastic, really good. The chicken tenders are homemade and very tasty. The Irish Nachos were the bomb and my wife really loved her salad. The band is very good and the lead singer, Sarina, can flat out sing. Awesome to listen to. Our server Kasharail (Kash) is absolutely great. The whole experience was very nice and we will be back. Came here from Goodyear but when you find a gem like this, miles are not a problem. read more

This place is exactly what it proposes to be. An authentic Irish pub with food inspired by Ireland/Europe. I say "inspired" because there is no boxty but thats just my personal preference since I go there to eat, not to drink. Their entire menu is fun and tasty-please the Irish Nachos. Kicking off the International Supper Club UYE 2023 and The Dubliner Irish Pub was the place to start us off for 2023! The Dubliner was all done up in its St Patricks' decorations and looked festive. I just had what I would describe the worst bar experience I've ever had. I've been in and out of this bar for years and love it. After tonight I'll be thinking twice about coming back. The two guy bartenders have attitudes worse than their tattoos. One of them was yelling across the bar about how he s#*t in someone's drink. The other refused to take my wings off my bill when I told him it was the worst wings I've ever had. Only ordered five and ate maybe one of them. I spit most of it out in a napkin. Only redeeming thing about tonight is that they poured the Guinness properly. read more

We have gone to the Dubliner 3 times. The first time we went to watch a football game. Service and food were good. The second time the onion rings were way over cooked and the chicken wings were also overcooked however not as bad as the onion rings. The third time was the final time we intend to return. We were seated at a high top that was in the bar area and told that the waitress would be there to take our order in a moment. Not sure how long a "moment" is to them but after about 20 minutes nobody came to our table. Mind you the place was near empty. The waitress that had served us the last time we were there was too busy filling the straw container. Then she walked over to the far wall to talk to patrons at that table. Never once looking our direction. We continued to sit there for another few minutes and with still nobody came to our table so the only solution was to get up and leave. We have no intention to return. Maybe if they actually read this review they can fix this problem at least for the next customers. read more
