The doctors are great and the staff is generally courteous. The offices are nice. However, if you are trying to make glasses or sunglasses that are perhaps not the most straightforward - like aviators with a high base curve, their lab seems to struggle with craftsmanship in making them. I have use these same frames (I have a couple) to make lenses with almost the same prescription with other offices and the results have been great. The sunglasses I received from this office had a noticeable "fishbowl" effect. My other pair with the same exact frames and almost the same prescription were cut and produced very nicely with no problems. What actually bothered me was the response when I raised this concern. They repeatedly said this is due to my prescription and the curve of my frames even as I showed them the much better crafted lenses in my other identical frame - demonstrating it was possible to produce lenses for this frame without the problems that it had. When I asked if they could ask the lab to produce quality similar to the pair I had they basically said no. In other offices, without my even having to make that request, the staff told me they noticed the curve of the lenses and that they would personally call the lab and direct them to ensure the lenses were produced without the fishbowl effect and fitting the curvature of the frames well. Briggs needs to hold its lab to higher standards and to offer that level of advocacy for its customers - it's pretty basic for opticians to do that as they work with their eyeglass labs. Unfortunately that type of response means I will have to switch back to the office I used to go to even though it is in Roswell, 30 minutes away. At least I will get better crafted eyeglasses. read more

We have been family customers of Briggs for over 10 years. I scheduled an appointment that was listed as "available time slot" via their online system; only to receive an email saying that the slot actually WASN'T available and was requested to call the office to pick a new time. When I called the office to inquire, I was told that a slot actually HAD become available at the time I requested, but they had JUST given it to someone else right before I called and then she laughed about it as if it was funny. Kristin explained she had a "last minute cancellation" but didn't honor my request that came in much earlier (in writing actually) for the same time slot. (Because she hadn't "heard from me") I ended the call extremely disappointed and confused as my phone number is listed in the online booking information as well as the time slot I booked, which she was fully aware of. I was so lucky to have discovered Briggs. My daughter landed and broke my glasses in two and in a hurry we rushed to the office. The staff was so nice to fit us in on a busy Saturday. I love the new tech they have to see the back of your eye and get a quick assessment without having to dilate, though I still want to dilate but I'm glad to have gotten some idea of my eye health with that. My son had an eye infection and the Briggs Vision staff were so great to fit us in last minute to get seen. We usually see Dr. Sellers, but saw another doctor who was just as awesome! I'm convinced all the doctors in this group are amazing! My son has had the same eye infection 3 other times and this is the only time we were told exactly what it is, why he keeps getting them, and how to prevent the infection from coming back. The staff is absolutely amazing! Because we were worked in last minute, we had to wait to be seen. The staff kept us updated while we waited and even helped to keep my 3yo entertained when her patience ran out, God bless you! I teetered between 3 and 4 stars, only because the wait was very long. My daughter had a tumbling lesson right after this appointment at 4 so I was already pushing it, but my appointment was at 3, so I figured I had enough time. We didn't get taken back until 3:35. I wasn't very happy about that, and they apologized and tried to rush through it which worried me a little. The staff was very pleasant though, and it was a nice facility altogether. The biggest plus (and minus) was being told that my daughter didn't need to wear glasses while reading. The vision place I went to last year said her right eye was a little off and she should wear glasses. So I paid like $250 for some glasses for her only to find out this doctor said she didn't need them yet. I hate that about some dentists and vision places, because you put your faith in them and some places are clearly out to just make money. I am thankful this place is not like that, and despite the wait, I'd be willing to come back because I trust them, and that you can't put a dollar amount on. read more

What a great experience! After having issues with a big box vision company I searched for a second opinion on my eye care needs. I found Briggs Vision through google and read reviews that seemed too good to be true. Today was awesome to say the least. Everyone was super friendly and they all worked together to figure out the possibilities as to why I couldn't fit in my previous contacts. Briggs Vision Group was a great experience. The doctor was attentive and explained everything he was about to do and what the test was for. The staff was very friendly, offered water, and encouraged me to browse through their glasses selections while waiting. I needed glasses, so browsing through the glasses and trying them on cut through a lot of work on looking for glasses in the end. It is a nice atmosphere. From the receptionist right when I even called, to the lady who took me back to my room, to Dr. Smith, to Jennifer who helped me order my glasses... everyone was exceptional. I've been going to Briggs for the last 7 years. They are super friendly, prompt and have a great selection of frames. One of the biggest things I'd say is their philosophy of eyecare first. My wife had a pair of glasses from an optician in another city. After examining her, Dr. Brice told her that she no longer needed glasses. I typically avoid going to the eye doctor. However after meeting he staff here and getting my eyes checked, I think I'll willingly and Joyfully start getting my exams done once a year. They are super friendly, super smart, and very informative. I told Christal that she defined the word awesome and I meant every word of it. I had issues with prescription and it was around 5:45 after their store closes. I texted Christal on her personal number and she immediately contacted my pharmacy and within a few minutes I got everything settled and went home with my prescription. I went in with what seemed to be minor eye irritation and ended up being much more. From the time I walked in, every one was nice and treated me with kindness and gave great care. Dr. Sellers stayed in contact with me as I went to a specialist and made sure that I was taken care of. I have been a customer/patient for over 2 years with Dr. Brice and Briggs Vision Group on Medlock Bridge. I could not be happier. The staff is knowledgeable, and friendly. My 9 year old son had his first exam with them since we moved and he was thrilled, he had come in with me a couple of times and couldn't wait for his own exam.
