THE CORONA EFFECT! HE'S BACK!! Okay, so he really hadn't gone anywhere. I was really disappointed with my last appointment here because I had expected to see Dr. Johnsey but he was not available. I had not had prior knowledge of his absence and was not pleased. I have since learned that Dr. Johnsey is not in this office every day so I will have to make sure to make my appointment on the day that HE is seeing patients. Now, I don't really know the other doctor in the clinic, I just prefer Dr. J because I started with him and liked him immediately. He is very thorough and he does a great job of educating the patient about the health of their eyes, any issues/concerns and options regarding the best lens for the patient's very specific issues. I needed a pair of glasses that would be ideal and functional for working at the computer and a different lens for just reading. I ended up purchasing two pair of glasses that are very different and will cover all the basis. As usual, Dr. J's very professional staff was very helpful in assisting me with finding the perfect frames and completing my order. CORONA MEASURES: You must make an appointment and masks are mandatory! You cannot just freely walk into the clinic because the gate is partially lowered and there is an obvious sign asking you to wait for assistance. The wait is minimal. You will be escorted over to the desk, checked in and then escorted to a small room for a preliminary exam. In this room you will be asked to place your personal items, (purse, bag), in a plastic tub and you will maintain custody of this tub throughout your visit. While you are in this first room, you will have an eye exam with a special machine that takes a thorough picture of your eyes. This procedure takes the place of dilation, requires less touching and is conducted with a machine that can be easily sterilized after each patient. After you try on lens, they will collected and sterilized before being placed back on the shelf. I really appreciated the safety measures that they have implemented and felt perfectly safe throughout my visit. **This practice is definitely recommended! read more

Got a pair of glasses here a while back and plan on going back for my contacts. I actually got a pair of glasses from Dr Choe at her former spot and was able to find her again about 5 years later at this spot! She was very patient and worked with me throughout the exam as well as making sure I was helped in a timely manner to pick out my frames. Very professional and made the whole process a pleasure. The frame selection is extensive and Salisa was extremely helpful with gauging my taste and finding the right size frame for my face. Dr. Johnsey took the time to fully explain every step and to painstakingly go through the pros and cons of the contacts that I was considering. This was, by far, the absolute best experience I've ever had with any eyecare facility. In the past, I've always felt rushed, felt like they just wanted to swindle me out of money, and received little to no guidance when selecting glasses. The office was very clean, bright, and inviting. Dr. Johnsey had a wonderful demeanor. He was very thorough, explained every step, and made my son and me very comfortable. He was excellent! The woman (I wish I knew her name) who assisted us in choosing the eyewear was so sweet and extremely helpful from making the selections to placing the order. She explained everything thoroughly. The woman at the desk who takes the payment was also pleasant. Coming from a customer service background and being a teacher, I am big on great customer service.
