Funny how lengthy your response to my review is because if you reviewed the video footage, as you supposedly said you did for whatever reason, you didn't communicate very much with me at all and were on your phone most of the time watching whatever on your phone. i was the only person in the store at the time so i find it hard to believe you were that busy that you took time away from your tasks to assist me. DO NOT BUY FROM BRIGHT AQUARIUM We ordered 4 discus to be shipped overnight. We live less than 4 hours away. First our order had the wrong postal code on the UPS shipping label. They insisted that was our fault. It wasn't because my computer auto fills my shipping address! This error caused a day delay in my overnight shipping. When my purchase finally arrived at the UPS warehouse where I live the box was soaking wet. UPS opened the box and all the bags containing the fish were empty of water and all the fish were dead. I contacted Bright Aquarium and he said it was my fault but he would give me a full refund but would not do business we me again because I was to much trouble! I then placed an order from a different seller in FLORIDA and received my 4 discus the next day all alive and happy. read more

Though the windows to the store are covered with clings, once you step inside Bright Aquarium, you're transported into a warm, friendly, sparsely decorated fish shop! I personally love the uncluttered industrial-chic nature of the shop with crystal clear fish tanks and tubs on top of racks laid out in neat aisles. Bright Aquarium specializes in guppies (which they raise in these cool-looking tubs), flowerhorns (an entire wall full of them!), and colorful shrimp. I haven't seen such a large variety of guppies elsewhere in the SJ area and I think the fish here are the most colorful by far! And each specimen looks so healthy! We didn't end up making a purchase but did get to talk to the friendly owner for a bit! The store's unpretentious decor has got me thinking copying some of their ideas to set up a thriving tank on a budget. read more
