In its place: a sea of arcade games and many of them have issues. ~ And since pricing for the use of the arcade is timed, reading and explaining the instructions to kids is rush, rush, rush for oh so little to actually activate. ~ And the pricing strategy? What was once three hours of unlimited fun with access to everything, is now a Chinese menu and fistfuls of dollars for mini combos or singles featuring anything that is not an arcade game: bumper cars, laser tag, climbing walls, and so on. ~ The small bumper car ride arena is overcrowded. No room to play. It went from having four standard vehicles, to seven, including three huge adult-sized spinner bumper cars. ~ Now clearly catering to teens and adults. ~ Lots of areas where guests can trip and hurt themselves. See pic. Groupon is the only way to pay for this place. See photo... but that's only for the arcade games. Adding one star because the manager understood that we were unhappy and did his best to accommodate. He explained that Covid had forced the original owners to sell and the new owners (1 1/2 years into this) to reconfigure stuff. Recommendations to owners: + Provide a tutorial on scanning the game card at the entrance for young guests. + Price the arcade by game points, not by time. This way you won't frustrate gamers of all ages when they realize that a handful of the most popular games are off-limits. + Clearly label the point cost on the games - not in fine print. + Remove at least two of the bumper cars. Too crowded! + Remember that guests are here to play and be distracted (and you have a full bar) so be sure to safeguard the place from ridiculous tripping points and spare yourselves a few lawsuits. Good luck, new owners! Austin desperately needs indoor entertainment 9 months out of every year.

The admission here is $8 less than Pikopye's and you're able to just walk in. Love that. As some yelpers have mentioned, it is a bit chaotic as there are so many toys around. There are lots of tables to sit and eat at within the play area. There are different play areas such as a doctor's office set up complete with little scrubs, hats, and stethoscopes. There's a firefighting area with fire fighter gear. As well as a farmer's market area with tons of toy produce. All the toys from each play area are scattered amongst the entire play room. I'm kind of wondering how often they sanitize all the toys/costumes/tables etc. as there are a lot of kids with runny noses here. This might be coming to an end because of what happened this morning. My nanny kid has a fractured tibia, play street is a safe option for us because I don't have to worry about dozens of kids tripping over her. We arrived at 9 am after booking a spot online and seeing they had plenty of spots open. The employee who was super nice let me know that they had a large field trip arriving during our play time. The reason we chose and have chosen play street over places like the thinkery because we don't have to battle for space or field trip groups. They should block these time slots out and not have spaces open because this will put them way over their own capacity. I'm not against field trips having places to go to- this is on the franchise owners for trying to accommodate too many people at one time. There needs to be a better system, if there's going to be field trips- find a way to mark it on your schedule so we don't waste our time driving here.

Even though he only went in once it's very dark and not too appealing. To play the arcade games you put $ on a reloadable card. The games go by points so each point is a quarter. There was plenty of seating area plenty of chairs & tables but just no people! :( I was kind of surprised for it being a Friday afternoon & summer time, no school for the kids. My grand baby immediately runs to the arcade games and they had lot's of toddler friendly rides for him which were all around 3 to 4 points. As we explored the other games I noticed a few broken ones, then as I really took a good look more & more were broken or missing parts. Even the air hockey was broken. I understand a few here & there but no it was a lot, I'm glad I didn't have my teenagers because they didn't have many options for that age group. It's a fairly reasonable place to go on hot summer afternoon. The kids spent an hour running around a large playscape. It always makes me pleased to see them come back to the table nice and sweaty for a drink. We got a pizza which wasn't too bad and a hot dog which he ate all of, so it must have been pretty good too. Then they got to play games and win coupons for "prizes". They each went through a $10 "game card" pretty quickly, but got to pick things they wanted. Although this place isn't squeaky clean, the staff were exceptionally nice. It wasn't terribly packed either, which is great for places like this. During the last 45 minutes unfortunately there was one little girl who was able to scream so loud (and frequently) that I jumped almost every time she let out one of her frequent squeals of joy. Can't blame that on anyone but the parents though and it's rare they'd do anything about it at a place like this.
