I do want to add that my sons comfort was always considered! Thank you!! 1st Review: The facility is very clean, the staff was very friendly. Contrary to his previous dentist they recommend he get two crowns. Knowing the work from initial visit all appointments were still scheduled a month apart until they no longer accepted our insurance in the middle of the year. The worst part. The crowns I paid out of pocket for were extremely big. My son couldn't close his teeth and they turned pink within days after eating a strawberry. I was satisfied with the fills but those 1k crowns. No way! After a week and being filled down they look rotten!!

They over quoted us for dental work "needed" on both of our children. After getting a second…read moreopinion we found the work was not all necessary and we were about to be over charged by $100. We switched dentists but I kept getting a $50 bill emailed to me that was going into my junk box. After they threatened collections, I found the bill and I called the office. The bill was for a claim denied by insurance in error so asked for them to resubmit the claim for the bill to insurance and then mail any outstanding invoices to my home to avoid missed emails. They said it was all taken care, claim was submitted and bills would be mailed. However we continued to have the same invoice sent to email and threatening collections. I would respond and ask for an update on the resubmit to insurance with no response. Even though the bill was something submitted incorrectly that should truly be covered by insurance, I finally called and paid the bill just to get them to stop threatening collections. I don't trust or recommend this office!!!

You know when you find a place that is so great that its worth the drive to continue to go to??…read moreWell, this is one of those places. I have 3 boys ages 7,6,and 4. They are a trio of chaos and fun wherever they venture and the Dentist office is no exception. As a person who really likes their teeth I have made sure that my boys have taken care of theirs since they first got them. I have also made sure that they do not fear the Dentist who I believe is one of the most awesome types of doctors. With all of this being said lets review the office: The staff is amazing. They are super nice and courteous. The techs are so patient and were great with all three of the kids. My middle kid has Autism so he can sometimes be very defiant and not want to cooperate however the tech, Ashley was great with him. She helped him feel at ease and comfortable. The other two techs; Yolanda and Jackie were equally attentive to my other two kids. The office is great. They have this surfer/tiki/island theme throughout the entire place that had the kids asking me to do that to their rooms HA! Yeah sorry kids.. you are lucky if I can put border on the wall straight. The dentist, Dr. White, was great. He answered my questions and put to rest the worries I had about medication affecting my kiddos permanent teeth. My kids have been going to the dentist for a few years now and this has been the best experience thus far. We live pretty close right now but once we close on our house we will be a bit far away but this place is definitely one of those that are worth the drive. I am so glad that we came here and will continue to come here for all of my kiddos dental needs. Some other great features: 1. The wait was minimal (I think we were in the waiting room for about 5 minutes) 2. You can print out the new patient forms from their website and bring them in.. a great time saver. 3. They are adequately staffed so if you have basketball team like me you can get them taken care of simultaneously and not be there forever. 4. (This one is from my 7 year old) They let you pick awesome toys, a sticker, and you get a new toothbrush once you are done. They do not give you lolly pops.

2 stars, and the only reason it isn't 1 is Dr. White. He is fantastic with kids and we have nothing…read morebut good things to say about him. Unfortunately, our experience with his dental assistants was a different story. On our last visit, we politely asked why our family needed to be separated, since we were told the rooms didn't have enough space (they clearly did). Amanda, our assistant that day, became short and rude with us for simply asking. We decided to give them another chance. On today's visit we had Zoraida, who was standoffish from the start and told us we had to separate, even though the office wasn't busy and the room had plenty of space. When I politely asked about it in the room, she shook her head and shut the door in my face. I wasn't arguing; I planned to follow the rule even though it didn't make much sense. Meanwhile, Amanda was in the background giving me looks that made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. We've since switched to another dentist where our family can stay together and the experience is much more welcoming. Dr. White deserves better support than this. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend Lake Mary Pediatric Dentistry.

There is so much for kids to do in the waiting area (movie room, game room, etc) that it doesn't make me dread waiting for appointments like I usually do when I go to the doctor. They were even doing a cute scavenger hunt last time we came in and my son loved it and won a prize! How cute! Even though there is lots to do while you wait I found the wait time to be quite reasonable... maybe 15 minutes at max? The doctor is fantastic and is great with kids. The nurses are too. They taught us some great techniques to get my kid to brush his teeth and we have been using these tips ever since. My son has been a proud member of the no cavities club for two years now. Looking to keep the streak going. Thank you, Dr. Troy!

Checkout was a breeze too!

Updated review at the bottom. If the dentist wasn't decent…read moreI'd give 1 star. So, I made my school aged son an appointment 6 months ago at 7am so he wouldn't miss school. I get a text message today, 4 days before his appointment asking me to confirm his 9am appointment. I see this and know it's a mistake so I call to clear it up and was informed that the business hours have changed, ironically enough b/c school is in session. So clearly at some point an executive decision was made to change the hours. Why wouldn't the next step be to call each patient who had an appointment between 7am and 9am to reschedule them right away? Had someone called months ago this wouldn't be a big deal but the lack of customer service and consideration and all out common sense is appalling! The person who answered the phone told me how she's "only one person, and is working on calling everyone." Well for starters she didn't even call me, I got a text with an appointment time that I didn't schedule and wasn't consulted on, secondly had she started calling months ago she'd be done, clearly someone should learn how to manage their time and the business better. Now off to find another dentist. February 4, 2016 After posting this review the dentist called and could not have been more apologetic. He was incredibly flexible in his schedule and stayed open late last night so he could treat my son. We could not be more thankful for his courtesy and professionalism in handling this hiccup. Review changed from a 2 to a 5!
